lol, did anyone realize the car has the gas almost half tank left, and trip computer shows the distant it can travel is 121 miles, so roughly it does less than 300 miles a tank, not good enough.
Just read an article on the Washington Post's site about 4,300 of these being recalled for -wait for it- NO BRAKE PADS being installed!!!!!!!!! Thanx, but NO thanx!
@revolutionday1 What car hasn't had a recall ever? and 4300 is low in comparison to how many were produced and shipped statewide. My 2ls has brake pads.
@brooklynboiz Correct; recalls DO happen, but....I mean...missing BRAKE PADS??! That's beyond what I would call "poor quality control". Floor mats that wad-up, things like that...okay. But neglecting such a crucial item is just plain jackass. Sorry.
Chevy just replaced the crappy Aveo with another crappy car. WTF is up with American car designers? Are we trying to compete with the foreign auto manufactures now since when. Really sad to see that we no longer are the market setters but rather followers. Crap for Crap is the new Chevy motto.
@noremorse126 I've seen an RS package out there in Chevy's marketing. I'm sure it's on its way. The engine and transmission will be the same (1.8 or 1.4 liter turbo with 6-speed), but the the appearance will be more sporty. These little Sonics get up and go.
Not a bad car! But $15 grand for only these features is way to high and I'm not sure if we can trust chevy with small cars. I rather go with Nissan versa....
@tcradical I've sold the versa before too. The CVT transmission isn't ideal for longevity. I remember seeing one come in with 80k miles and no reverse gear. Remember, this Sonic has an Ecotec engine from Chevy in Europe. This is a different Chevy. Not the same as the past, admittedly. Drive and research before you pull the trigger. It's well worth a try. I've sold all makes and models in the past. The Cruze and Sonic run circles around imports.
@topeiraboy Lol evo copy? you need your eyes check asian cars suck.

Asian styling suits US cars. Would be nice if the build quality is up to par too. :)

@tcradical I just saw a comparison test by InsideLineVideo and to say the least, it said the Versa was pretty crappy.
I'm personally excited for the Fiesta ST (1.4L turbo, 180hp, high 30's mpg).

@metroperson Available, but not on this model. It's basic. There are two more levels above the 2LS. They are the LT and LTZ.

@OdonnellChevyBuick I DID see an Ipod slot. With that, who NEEDS a CD player?!!

@landyachtfan79 True. The CD player is becomming the 8-track player we've seen go away in the past.

@Bio4ce1 Sometimes an entry level compact has a cheap feel. This one does not. Very solid and plenty of power.
