@TheVideosfactory dont know if its too late to post to you, I have a zi8 that froze up on me a few times. I took the front face off, removed the battery, put it back in and that helped each time it happened

What camera did you use on this video because it has stereo sound while most of these pocket video stuff doesn't comes in stereo sound. Anybody out there could give me a brand that comes with stereo sound HD pocket camera?

Color is magnificent, Video quality is noticeably jerky set at 720p/60fps, [ supposedly the best overall setting] tested filming traffic on the street, even with steady cam. What sold me on this video cam is it's external microphone connection.

Great choice. I used it for a party with good lighting and made a DVD from the footage and was amazed at the quality. As far as sound goes, it records in mono but it has a side jack for an external stereo mic. Remember, this a pocket camera, so don't expect to shoot a full feature length film. Trust me, you'll be surprised at the video quality...it beats the Flip and Vado.

i was about to get the flip mino but then i researched and found out the zi6 blows it out of the park, and the zi8 is a significant step up from that so yes the zi8 is better and cheaper i think. but its slightly bigger, only thing.

Yes, according to the specifications I have, 60fps is only for 720p. 1080p recording is at 30fps.

If Kodak is reading this they might still have time to include that little grey draw string pouch which cost next to nothing and takes up almost no space in the box, the insides of the pouch acts also as a lens cleaner &  finger print remover.

The SD/SDHC card slot can hold up to 32 GB does the Zi8 improve in this area where the Zi6 struggled ie. can you actually use a 32GB sd card,.

Still Pictures, there should be a big improvement in this area if you using image stabilization combined with the new low light and 5MP HD still picture capabilities no has posted any stills.

I for one don't want to shell out another $200.00 if these improvements are barely noticable. We've already found out we need a stronger computer for 1080p playback, and it no longer uses AA batteries, with the IS draining juice maybe the replacable AA'smay have been better for the Zi8. I don't know thats why I need batt info.

YEAH! ********Zi8 vs Zi6******** all the improvements ie. low light, image stability, on-board mic, battery test with and without the IS on, just how bad is the play back on a ghz processor less than the require 2.8 ghz..

How many volts and amperes does the Zi8 require this way I can estimate battery life. I've heard up to 4 hrs using only the still picture feature...

Does the IS make faint ringing noise, if not then where is it coming from?

Test the zi8 along side the zi6 so we can see the improvements... the latest string of zi8 test have been pathetic... these retarted people get their hand on a zi8 before Sept. 1, and post the stupidest test, you actually come away knowing less about the zi8 than when you first started. A good test should cover all the new improvements say about 45 sec. to a minute on each side by side with the zi8.
