it's ok for beginner especially if it's not too expensive. for more heavy duty scratching I would look into vestax, rane or ecler.

@estemano any mixer works with traktor when using a NI soundcard for a dvs setup. if you are asking if this is a traktor scratch certified mixer then no.

eq's are nice. there are various eq modes so you can have simple boost and cut and even full kill isolators. it's a pretty useful concept that's often overlooked.

@adolph520 I think you can find them for around $300-400. thanks for the props. i'll be honest with you regarding the mixer - the faders are not as sturdy as something you'll find in a 07pro or rane. The efx are very cool but if you're heavily into scratching, I don't know if this will hold up. You might wanna get a mini kaoss pad instead

i got this mixer too man but the 402. well pleased with it. had it 4 bout 6 months. holding up well, only just beggining to learn to scratch tho. but did you guys no that u can electronically set the faders curve features by some weird button combo! aint tryed ity yet as i found the curves suitable.

How are the faders feeling after all these months? Some say they are good some say they are bad, but I don't think they own the mixer.

The faders are holding up ok after almost 1 year of use. I sense a little loss of sharpness on the cut in but nothing too crazy.

Ive been debating whether to buy the 202 or the 402, Im a begginer dj so Im not quite sure if paying alot extra for the 2 extra channels is truly worth it..what would you recommend?

the 202 should be the way to go since you're just starting out. you probably wouldn't use the extra channels that much anyway.

Korg Km has the impressive cut rate on the cross fader. I can bust fast crab,orbit, chirp, flares no Problem!!! This mixer is good for scratching and mixing any genre. Awsome sound quality!!! I got the brand new mixer for $300.00.

hey which effect were you using when you were tapping the kaoss pad to cut in and out? around 1:50

effect 00. it's a low pass filter that cuts the sound completely if you tap on the left hand side of the kaoss pad.

honestly the kaos pad is awesome....and the effects are nice...overall the mixer aint worth the money tho....its like your paying 400 for the kaos pad and 100 for the mixer...might as well go and buy a good kaos pad and a vestax....thats just my opinion...

379? for real? last i checked was on the release at guitar center it was going for 400 something...i guess ya got it at a good price...haha i still wouldnt buy it but its okay for home use....as far as club or mobile it aint good especially cause the mic output sucks with the knob turning from channel to channel...and also the curves on the faders arent as accurate...but the cross fader is pretty aight....i might say thats the least i give it....but even at 379 i would be hesitant

this mixer is the shit i just wish it wasnt so damn ugly haha. They could make it a LITTLe smaller, Instead of white Make it Rane Black and instead of forest green make it like Brown, gold, silver or yellow lol that way t wouldnt hurt the eyes so much haha

you can find the mixer online like prosound and sweetwater. it's also carried by the sam ash stores nationwide. the faders are not by pro x fade on this mixer. pro x fade did the faders for the zero4 mixer also by korg.

the km202 faders are not made by pro x fade but korg's other mixer called the Zero 4 has faders made by pro x fade. my friend works for korg usa and he let me in on all this info

crossfader is really slick. i think it's made by pro x fade. the pad doesn't sample but it does up to 1 bar looping.

its between that mixer the stanton sa12x, the urei wiv the twin sampler or the vestax mixer wiv the sampler

its a hard decision man
