this video is from a comedic show, these people do not really catch skyfish. i definitely think "skyfish" is a creative idea, but can be disproved, as they are simply bugs, or other visual artifacts. there is no such creature, it cannot exist.

clearly you know nothing about japanese language. After the invasion of America in WW2 a lot of contemporary japanese words are simply broken english. "Skyfish" being a name does not fall into this catagory and is applicable to all languages, so no matter what skyfish will be skyfish in every language.

The reason they haven't caught one is that they reveal themselves as normal insects when they stop. Cameras frame exposure time creates the illusion of something else. Wave your fingers fast in front of your 24 framerate brain, and you'll get the idea...

Nah, if they found an insect that fools the camera and eye like this it would be easy to catch a "Normal Insect", release one in a confined space and show SkyFish Footage all day long. Theres footage of these thing comming out of the ocean, and passing through solid objects. I think these insects exist outside our 3 dimensions so one will never be caught.
