@julsshan i saw this video right now, and trust me, it was simply AWESOME, BREATHTAKING and so much perfect....the unique way one of the women played aishwarya and the other, played madhuri was absolutely wonderful!! and about the way the saree was draped: even in the movie it was not normal 5 and a half metre saree, it wasa specially designed 9 metre saree!!! it was an excellent performance!!!
but gotta give credit to these dancers who are non-indians. :) good job. The best dola re performance I've seen was during an event at my school. A group of Chinese ladies danced to dola re and they were amazing. Almost as good as the original and they probably do not know Indian Culture. But they were energetic and their dance look unchoreographed. Wish I had a video of their performance. If i can find it, i will upload here.
@suneeta862000 , we didnt attach anything extra to saree, its just that we cut the edge of saree( secret!!!!) It was really hard to find out how it was done, and maybe still its not like the original desighn, but very close to that anyway!!! thanks!!

dance is pretty good, but why do you guys have to copy everything from the movie, if you do it in your own way,it would have been much more better... be original, be yourself...
@samiah13 , thats true, but for that u have a basic knowledge of the moves at least, first i think its better to learn from proffesionals, like Sarojji Khan, a famous choreographer in Indian cinema, who choreographed this.Our own choreography wouldnt be so good, u know.

ich würd euch raten das am anfang die die erste anfängt nicht mit dem Kopf macht sonder mit der hand also so mach ich das auch ... ich find das sieht dann auch viel besser aus !!!

La verdad que es linda la coreografía, ya que es la misma del video de Aishwarya Rai. Pero no tienen la misma gracia que Aishwarya bailando, la coreografía esta perfecta pero sus actitudes deja mucho que desear, ya que la coreografia es la misma tambien hubieran imitado las expresiones de la cara. For people who say their dancing is mediocre, they may have a slight lack of energy, but you must understand that dancing in a sari is like trying to dance in a straitjacket. Trust me on this

this is the best dola re performance on youtube i've seen. you guys have great form, excellent transition but i do want to say that you guys didn't move as fast as i would like. you guys are still one of the best though :)
this is without question the BEST copy of the original, I wanted to do this with my cousin for her sisters wedding, might have to learn it from you two!!
this was great!But uve got to remember this song needs alot of power to look good so u have to be very energetic and have strong moves like its very light wat ur doin.....i no its exactly like the original dance and its very easy but thats cuz there was like 70 other dancers so when its 2 people dancing uve got to make up for those dancers trust me im a bollywood professional choreographer!
it is incredibly difficult to capture the grace of the two dancers in the movie because both of them are trained in classical indian dance. this allowed for the choreography to be equally challenging and demand for a lot of grace in movements and hand gestures.
however, all things considered, both of you attempted a difficult routine and succeeded. it was very beautiful. the one tip i can give being a classical dancer as well is to be more fluid in the movements. on the whole, well done!!!
are Indian's considered part of the orient? cuz im Indian and that would be news to me... regardless, it was performed well, I just think they were a little too cautious and didn't show the (like others said) energy that is necessary to pull this off. Good job though.

hey tht was a great performance.. almost exact like the real video.. d only thing i noticed: the "dola re dola re" duo part has more smoother leg movt. You dont exactly hop, but glide foward.. other than it was great!

i totally agree, i didn't saw any energy in it, you could see, that all the moves were taken from the movie devdas itself, and that it was studied, these kind of things you have to do with feeling and rhythm, i didn't saw any of those, in this (scuse my words) pathetic show

It is difficult to remember the entire 5 min dance sequence and do a live performance. Very good job. In terms of physique you two even resemble Aish and Madhuri with thinner girl being Aish.

I've seen a lot off people doing the "Jai Ho" dance
sequence coz it is a lot easier than this one. :)
Even though you guys lack Indian classic dance exposure you still did a commendable job at it.

It's not belly dancing but Indian (Hindi) Bollywood style dancing. Belly dancing is more Middle Eastern.

great job... just let me say that next time, no matter how small it is, take up the WHOLE STAGE, not just the middle! it'll make it look more energetic and convince the audience that just two people can dance well to this song!

i totally agree, i didn't saw any energy in it, you could see, that all the moves were taken from the movie devdas itself, and that it was studied, these kind of things you have to do with feeling and rhythm, i didn't saw any of those, in this (scuse my words) pathetic show

It is difficult to remember the entire 5 min dance sequence and do a live performance. Very good job. In terms of physique you two even resemble Aish and Madhuri with thinner girl being Aish.
