Carrie ann is so rude, i dont think thats part of her job. her job is to judge the "stars" performance to the certain dance, not to critisize a proffesionals coreography. maks has been there for years and to keep making choreography up that hasnt been seen on there is hard! maks was sticking up and protecting his partner and i think that is cute:)

@gigi55109 The pros are the ones competing too. When the winner is announced the celebrity winner and his/her professional partner both get mirror ball trophies. When a dance doesn't work sometimes it's the celeb's fault and sometimes it's the pro's fault. Take Michael Bolton's jive for example. Ok he was barely even dancing which didn't help but it also didn't help that Chelsie had terrible choreography.

Woah, what's with all the Carrie Ann hate? I think Brandy was fantastic and deserved to win or at least be in the finals, but this was not a 10 dance. It was good, but not as good as say Kyle's instant dance. And to all the Carrie Ann haters, Len gave her a 9 too...why aren't you hating on him?

Carrie Ann had that coming. I know it hurts the pros more (usually) when they lash out at the judges, but that's the problem with the trio. They give passes to some couples for far worse offenses, but call others out on stupid stuff. I loved Brandy/Maks. Fourth place wasn't bad at all, but they should have been in the final 3. And I wish they could have had a less controversy filled, fan war season.

Thats it! they kissed..someome gasped and everyone in the audience was waiting for them to kiss. You could hear a pin drop when they met and when they finally did the applaud was mainly for the kiss rather than the dance. Watch Brandy's mom, a littlle girl further along she was on tender hooks. When I saw this on TV...I liked the dance. I didn't think it was bad. I did think that Carrie Ann was a pain in the butt!!! For most of that season, Carrie Ann was hard on Maksim. She didn't need to be hard on him for the dances. The song didn't pick up until the part where Brandy & Maksim started to dance. And it was also an instant dance, doesn't mean they had to start dancing instantly right when the music started. I hope Carrie Ann doesn't start anything this season with Maksim or Tony.

Carrie Ann really shafted them on the waltz that evening. It was uncalled for and ridiculous. Maybe there was a build-up with Maks that evening and given the fact that she's always scored him low, he blew. Enough was enough!

Right that instant dance is about how quick yu can pick up/perfect the choreography, not that you instantly start to dance when the music starts. In fact if they had started dabcing earlier then they did it would have been weird...it depends on the son and this song they started at the beat they should have started so shut up Carrie Ann.

@lovebutterfly28 Yes they kissed. ABC must have known the dance was going to end like that because they gave us that crazy angle behind Maks which made it hard to see. I believe Carrie Ann didn't like it and went on the attack and that's why Maks told her, "don't hate. Relax, don't worry about it."

And while Carrie Ann had a point, I think that Maks' point of view was correct as well. Brandy had no control over the choreography. That was Maks' job. Her job was to dance said choreography to the best of her ability and be judged on that. Unfortunately, she was judged on something that she doesn't control. Still supporting good ole Maks.

I didn't mind the whole thing on the steps, but wish they'd started when they walked out and Brandy was doing the hip roll. A few seconds earlier would have been great for me. That being said, I loved the dance and will ALWAYS love Maks. I just started watching this show last season and he, Derek and Cheryl are my favorites.
