@JKsublime: having rowed for 8 years i know what i'm talking about. to the layman, 1:26 might seem great but even club standard lightweight men (<72.5kg) can easily match this time. the guy in the video looks substantially larger than a lightweight, he has the physique, but not the technique. if he learnt to row more effectively he would easily do 500 sub 1.20.
He might be a lot faster if his tecnique improved. he needs to sit up lots taller and arms away first.

1.26 for 500? thats poor! drop 5 secs off that and it becomes average, another 5 and it gets impressive.
