@oldfartrants If there is evil in the world, and we agree there is, then God must be accomplishing a work through the agency of evil. What is that work, God is accomplishing? The Bible tells us it is to see if each one of us will, of our own free will, choose good over evil. That's how He's giving man authority.

Though I do have some sense of there being a creator, I have always had difficulty with the Bible. It seems clear to me that this is a book written by men in a hope of giving some substance to their concept of God. Taking the context of the Bible literally is ludicrous as society has evolved so drastically since it was written, that it has little relevance today. The Bible's focus on mankind as the center of the world is a false, egocentric notion that could only have come from men.

One thing that really bothers me about the 2011 Rapture Failure is this: Harold Camping and his organization are wealthy. They can spend money on this nonsense and emerge unscathed. However most of his followers who spent lots of money because of his false prophecy are not wealthy and will suffer financially. This is not very "Christian". Harold Camping should have told his followers not to spend their money just in case he was wrong. That would have been properly humble and "Christian".

I personally don't do anything but worship on the Sabbath, but I don't kill antbody for working on the Sabbath, and yes, I know it does. Though I do have some sense of there being a creator, I have always had difficulty with the Bible. It seems clear to me that this is a book written by men in a hope of giving some substance to their concept of God. Taking the context of the Bible literally is ludicrous as society has evolved so drastically since it was written, that it has little relevance today. The Bible's focus on mankind as the center of the world is a false, egocentric notion that could only have come from men.

Same thing happened to my video "After the Rapture" I made over a year ago. It had a couple thousand views till about two weeks ago then suddenly it got a slew of hits. It now is approaching 20K views.

As long as you really follow Christ. I don't believe in church, but I believe in God. God and Jesus preach love not hate. They never did anything bad to anyone. It seems people are against them because of how terrible the history of Christianity is. I strictly follow God's Word (bible)...not man. God's Word is pure.

@oldfartrants Yea the bible does appear to be vile, but to those who are considered "evil". It shows God rewarding those that do good. I know to some God isn't real but that's ok. He's real to me and to many others, that's all that matters. Believe it or not our sense of morale comes from the bible it keeps people "in check" so to speak. I'm all for something that preaches love and salvation for those that are "good". However people want to interpret the bible is THEIR choice. God gave us that

@fork1313 The Bible says to kill anyone who works on the sabbath and any woman who isn't a virgin when she marries. It says slavery is ok, even for your children. It says women are second class citizens. It says not to eat shrimp or wear 2 kinds of cloth at the same time. It says you must sacrafice animals. What kind of "morality" is that? Do you do any of these "moral" things? The only way the Bible keeps people "in check" is by using the threat of burning in a fictional hell. FEAR!!!!!!!!!!!

@oldfartrants A lot of those things you're saying are in the Old Testament. We're supposed to follow New Testament Doctrine. Even the thing about the Sabbath...Jesus worked on the Sabbath. He declared all foods clean what matters is your heart and not what you eat. Idk about the cloth thing though..lol. I'd never sacrifice an animal, that's not required for salvation. I'm glad that today everyone can freely mock christianism, & really hope that one day every religion can be mocked equally without risking one's life. Sadly that's why I think we still need christianism around, to counterweight that other big, much less tolerant (or as intolerant as christianism used to be) religion. One thing that really bothers me about the 2011 Rapture Failure is this: Harold Camping and his organization are wealthy. They can spend money on this nonsense and emerge unscathed. However most of his followers who spent lots of money because of his false prophecy are not wealthy and will suffer financially. This is not very "Christian". Harold Camping should have told his followers not to spend their money just in case he was wrong. That would have been properly humble and "Christian".
