And that is up for debate. If you want to play ZS like how the creator updates it to be, go ahead and try Noxiousnet. I don't honestly think it's the best server out there, there are a lot of others.

I believe the creator of anything always knows whats best for his creation, and history has shown this as well, all servers except MrGreen and NoX are in the process of dying a slow but steady death and the only reason MrGreen lives on is because of euro-ping.

ZS is just getting outdated is why it is gaining unpopularity for any server, same story as the short-lived ReDead era that I got involved in with Rambo when I was making a map (not this one)

ZS 2.0 was made to take ZS to a whole new level, so its not outdated... at least 2.0 isn't. I can't say the same about MrGreen's ZS 1.1 which is extremely outdated... but hey you know how europeans are, always behind the times, following the US like a stray dog.

outdated isn't always necessarily a better thing. I remember when ZS was actually about PvNPC + P, competition and survival wasn't always impossible back then.

@Schloonktapooxis ReDead was awesome! I loved it, but there are no servers hosting it. It's sad really, it had that good survival feeling, although some abuse spots were killing the gameplay. Even those abuse spots could be eliminated when someone died and started throwing poisons around.

Please hit description and view everything. I've said SEVERAL times that this is for Garry's Mod. Garry's Mod is a modification of Half-Life 2. This map and several other things were modified inside Garry's Mod.

Weapon add-ons are SWEPS. They don't just work without the LUA.

The modes (mods?) are just things that change how the gameplay work, darkRP would make it an RP with dark mechanics mode, ReDead would make it a Redead game mode, etc

correct, the other thing to remember is that these weapons aren't easy to exactly spawn and not take it, I didn't know how to do that. On my old Hammer for GMod mapping, I didn't have anything that allowed that

you can't, ZS is now really reliant on other players. Older copies would auto-spawn zombies. My map had placed NPCs spawned for events for this one example.

Redead is an option. DarkRP may be one other.

no, the current build also allows NPCs, you just need to some value in options to TRUE instead of FALSE
