  • So he was mad because his "COMMUNIST" Social Security check was cut? What a moron! Same for that guy who shot up the Unitarian Church, was ticked off because his "COMMUNIST" unemployment or welfare ran out.

  • That guard's mother is... I mean wow. Respect

  • Good on you, Jimmy. :-)

  • damn, think about how the victims family feels right now, imagine if someone killed someone you loved, just because of their hatred for another race and their conspiracy about the government, people need not take the internet so seriously, there's a Lotta false info out there, and what makes it worse is that the false info finds its way into mainstream media. Obama is the president.... There is no birth certificate that's gonna change that, so get over, just like we got over 8 years of Bush

  • "When white people are provoked, some of them will snap".

So should the public expect a shooting at local McDonalds outlets when some kid working the drive-thru forgets to toss a "sweet and sour" sauce in with the nuggets???

    Thats clearly a "provocation"....

Honestly who provoked this Von Brunn character at the local museum??? Nobody... he simply did what he did because he is scum!

  • ...What McDonald's serves sweet-and-sour sauce? lol

  • All of them in Canada-Don't eat the mystery nuggets without it.

  • Gee, another right wing douche nozzle murdering someone based on some crazy "the Jews/Socialists/blacks/Illuminati are taking us over!" notion?

    Why am I not surprised?

This is what you get in a country where scum like Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannety, Savage and Beck feed into and legitimize political hatred 24/7.

  • Try again buddy, but Von Brunn was a Nazi, and he hated:

    Jews

    Christians

    FoxNews and Bill O'Reilly

    All Neo-Cons

    Weekly Standard

    George Bush

And believes that 9-11 was an inside job... Sounds like he would be on your team, I bet you and him would've really hit it off.

  • Idiot.. if he was a democrat that would mean he's part of the party with the minorities he hates so much.

Von Brunn hates blacks, religious tolerance, the UN, welfare spending therefore he's a Right-Winger.

Not to mention his views were not anti-conservative but anti-government. Learn to discern the two.

Don't peddle your trash on dems, you're the party of batshit crazy gun enthusiasts not dems. Dems don't think that the gov'ment gunna' take ayr gunz.

  • wow, that made no sense at all.

  • Yeah, dumbass, he clearly was on 'my team'.

If he hated Fox News, Neo-Cons, Bush et al it was because they weren't radical and Jew/nigger hating enough in his eyes and thus traitors to the right wing cause - not because he was an extreme lefty.

    Nice try.

  • Sabu if he was an "extreme lefty" then why did he post his screed on FREE REPUBLIC titled "Obama is missing"?

(The post is scrubbed but it's still on Google cache).

If he was an "extreme lefty" then why is he one of the "Obama BC conspiracy" believer?

Any attempt by the right winger to disown or blame the left for him is as ridiculous as Fox putting D instead of R on Foley's name when he was caught on the Page scandal.

  • Thanks god it wasnt a person with a muslim name.. otherwise t would b a terrorist case and there would be more innnocent people dying abroad. People have become blood hungry for the sake of power..

  • Comment removed

  • People like this are terrorists and look to oppress people of freedom and democracy .

  • what a tit !

  • The scary thing for me here is not that an old white guy took a rifle and shot someone... it's that this is being blown so far out of proportion in what is, in my opinion, a carefully calculated move to take more freedom from the average American.

Now all of a sudden you have multiple news sources talking about how white men can randomly just snap and start shooting and that the same hate groups that have been around for decades are now "terrorists" and are going to become a big target soon.

  • Are you how implying that this is only going to supress white mens freedoms? That fact is this is a terrorist just the abortion doctor shooter is a terrorist and the 19 hijackers.

  • So by your logic, all the murderers in the ghetto are terrorists. Hell, anybody that kills somebody else must be a terrorist, right?

This isn't about white men's freedoms... this is about AMERICAN'S freedoms. Declaring a pandemic on a virus that's threat levl is laughable compared to our seasonal flu... proclaiming that a crazy old racist is a terrorist and that more are going to start using guns... all of these things are being done so that it will easymode to declare martial law.

  • Swine flu and the media hype about this story is just there so the govt can enforce martial law? Paranoid much? This is ironic because your going on about how the govt is trying to instill fear to get the martial law. I realize that terrorist has become a loaded word but if you look at the definition. Terrorist-a person who terrorizes or frightens others. So no not all murderers are terrorists. Their motivation determines wheter or not they are a terrorist. terrorists don't have to kill anybody.

  • The whole word "terrorist" is a loaded word, and we've kind of twisted it to mean any enemy of the US. Since we're used to this context, it is no stretch for the anchors to use it here. Also, he did attack an important place of the group he hates, and thus was probably aiming more to scare people than to just kill people. Wouls I chalk it up as a random act of violence? No, it's at least premeditated, and def no if there is any organization he belongs to, or that supports his actions.

  • its funny but the picture in the beginning of that 88 years old man doesnt seem to be a scan from a photo and besides, how (if they had a photo) do they already posses one so fast? did they run to his home, go through all of his stuff to find an album and found such good photo. this is very fishi!!!

  • The shooter had once been arrested for attempting a "citizen arrest" so that how the police got his photo so fast IMO.

  • Are you saying he didn't do this? Just curious

  • Mel Gibson is right about all the wars in the world.

  • That mom was the most positive mom ever.

  • i really liked that yesterday everyone was pointing at right extremist(republicans) and said that the incident was politically motivated wihile it was just a paranoid guy thinking that the government acted racist against him cause his social security was cut short

  • His views on politics might be very distorted through his disturbed mind, but that doesn't mean his actions were not politically motivated! What don't you understand about that?

  • "What don't you understand about that?"

Whatever questions his core values, normal human trait. But dumb as cat shit.

  • thank you

  • Glen Beck, people like von brunn ACT ON THE LIES YOU FEED THEM..SO SHUT UP, YOU ARE THE REASON

  • This is just not a good year for white people and the Republican party, is it.

  • Glenn Beck slams 911 truthers by saying holocaust memorial suspect James Von Brunn is a hero to them.

    /watch?v=chEqCNB3hJE

  • this country stands for pretending to be capitalist while sucking at socialism.

  • yeah the repubs incited the muslim shootings too and planes flying into buildings and shit like that too

lets get real the guy is a whacko and should be put down there with tiller

  • The Republican party has incited this violence.

  • The GOP we once knew and respected has, for over a quarter of a century, become a party of hate, extremism, fear-mongering and 'Park Ave Marketing' mentality. They have lost the libertarian base on which they were founded and have become a Corporate-interest and Religious zealot based institution. They use media shills to daily implement and repeat their brainwashing spin and talking points. No wonder they've created so many sociopaths.

  • Damn white people think they're better than everyone.

  • charbroiledmonk, are you the result of first cousins doing the nasty in a trailerpark

  • u are afraid of the truth so u call me inbred and ignorant. neither are true. pull ur head out of ur ass, the media has brainwashed u.

  • trust no one, especially people you know, everyone be afraid live in fear do not listen to the people ever only trust your government and the banks believe in the media If you voted for a third party turn yourselves in now this is your last warning

  • Hate knows no age

  • One of the major goals of terrorism is to cause an overreaction by the target

  • 1:13

I am amazed and truly impressed at how calm and graceful the victim's mother is in front of the camera. What an admirable woman!

  • I was thinking the exact same thing.

  • I'd say it is because she knows that anger and hate is not going to make the situation any better. She can't let the same thing which consumed this shooter, consume her as well.

  • white people are fucking crazy.

  • lets not generalize

  • thank bush for what, Avalsoline?

  • Yeah, watch them white folks!!

Seriously, what a stupid remark from the news people. Not just white people will snap when provoked. A lot of people will snap. Now the mother of this fine young man (the security guard) must do what no parent wants; bury her child.

  • "When white people are provoked, some of them will snap".

Gotta keep an eye out for them crazy white folks. Never know what they're gonna do next! lol

  • The terrorist was a reg poster on the reichwing StormFront, as well as the republican "FreeRepublic" where he was lauded for his anti-Obama rants.

He sez gov'mnt is the problem. He's against the "browning" of America, standing up for the "downtrodden" angry whitemen

Against civil rights, he's defended the confederate flag and the confederacy.

Recently his website ownership passed to a Ron Paul (republican) campaign coordinator.

His car had a Bush'04 sticker on it and he defended Bush

  • The kkk and Skinheads ARE domestic terrorist.

They've fire bombed churches, fire bombed schools, kidnapped and killed people, killed blacks and whites, killed children and elderly, raped women as part of their initiation, threatened government officials, theatened government buildings, threatened federal judges, threatened lower courts and manipulated court cases in the past to get away with murder.

Biggest threat to America is from these organized hate mongers who have already hurt people

  • what the hell is the sliceing and dicing

  • dont worry... politicians will save you from these assholes!!

  • yeah! the government will save us all ! Gobama! Gobush! GoCain! GoPalin!

it's like a sports game... and soon the game will be over...

  • It's john wayne's fault obviously

  • @ kong19hong

suicide-by-cop and a blaze of glory

note about Mr. Wayne: I remember john wayne wanted the US to "nuke 'em" (N.Vietnam) and got a standing ovation at some award show, when I was a kid. He was accepting an award, of course but he was frustrated about how long it was dragging on. (Vietnam War)

I guess some people feel this way about Iraq.

  • "dual charge in murder and hate crime"

HATE CRIME is a fucking joke...

  • how so?

  • The right-wing media is gonna stop inflating all this non-sense when some brainwashed "conservative" crosses the line and hurts them directly. I hope no more tragedies like this one continue to happen but with all these stupid people believing their own lies and obsessing more and more over the fact that they lost an election (because that's all what this is about), more tragedies are likely to happen. I predict this summer is gonna be historically violent, hope I'm wrong.

  • I thought it would have culminated sooner, but you're right. In all honesty, this apoplexy is a small part of why i was pulling for Obama since early 2007. I knew his election would flush these people out into the open.

  • "I heard my momma cry

I heard she pray the night Washington died"

  • I wonder how many White people will be checked for guns in public places now that this has occurred? Don't get me wrong, but hasn't everybody else gone through this?

"Excuse me Billy Johnson, we're gonna have to conduct a random cavity search. Please, don't think this is an infringement of your rights or anything, its only your turn."

  • Stylin' and Profinin' with the Crack'ah Posse!

They always try'n'a catch a Bubba drivin' dirty.

  • what's the purpose of pasting all this pap together?

  • Its entertaining, sometimes they do a good job cut out large portions of redundancies, sometime the cut and paste just forwards the editors opinion.

Either way its entertaining and informs whats been going on during the day that the viewer may have missed.

  • It generally covers the main stories that appeared on the major news networks that day. Often times, these 100 seconds will show funny / awkward / stupid moments that happened, but today was obviously different.

Hope that wasn't a hypothetical question...

  • Sad:(

  • Why didn't he just go to Wall Street and start shooting some Jewish bankers? They would be an easier target. Instead he goes after a security guard in a museum? These people aren't just crazy, they're stupid. Next time shoot for the stars, so to speak.

  • FKKK U 2, NsaneNtheNbrane !

  • Von Braun should have taken out all the Jewish hollywood moguls----all 8 major film/TV studio CEO are controlled by Jewis.

Why did he do a stupid thing like go for a security guard???? He made the white sumpremacist movement look dumb

  • When did it ever look intelligent?

  • FKKK U, freeqwerqwer !

  • "across the spectrum..?"

no fox, you cannot shirk your responsibility in this terrorist attack. the right wing squawk machine is obsessed with Obama somewhow "taking away" their guns. The first item on the note that von brunnhole left on his car: "if you want my guns, this is the way you'll get them".

the right wing squawk machine is providing the push, all that's necessary to kill in Washington, Wichita, 3 police officers in Pittsburgh and 2 deputies in okaloosa county Florida.

  • "across the spectrum"

Really faux noise? That's really what you mean to say?

Yeah, remember all that hatred when the Democrats were out of power? Remember? Why, cindy sheehan stood down the road from bush's house! oh the humanity! what will we tell the children?

  • This will be repeating itself very soon. There are thousands of these of violent ignorants and no shortage of Right Wing talking heads to provoke them.

  • you do know that this wasn't politically motivated. the guy guy was paranoid that the government was out to get him when his social security was cut short...... Don't right wing extremists find social security a socialist threat?

  • It is not socialism if they are the recipient. They can't admit the social programs they enjoy are socialist programs. We have been a partially socialist system for quite so time now. Imagine how the anti socialist crowd would feel if they suddenly lost Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. It is difficult to demonize a straw man when you count on it for your survival.

  • Not to mention public education, fire depts, police depts, water services and the host of public services without which we could not survive as a society. The biggest 'socialist' elephant in the room?... our money-sapping 'Defense Dept'.

  • robinvan1983, didn't you read the posts that I sent to you in the comments of that other video??? It clearly is a political act.

Yes, of course he is a lunatic. Yes, of course he is an anti-semite. But don't say it isn't a political act, because it IS!

  • no he just snapped because his social security benefit was cut short. that was his motivation

  • You need to see that as the "last drop" of what he saw as a disturbing trend that his country was being taken over by Jews and African-Americans. Of course the USA is not truly being "taken over" by Jews or African-Americans, and even if it were true it isn't at all a legitimate nor logical reason to kill some random guard in a Holocaust museum, but in his warped mind, his act made sense politically. That's why it is a political act. OK, I'm not going to keep on explaining this forever...

  • no that makes him a racist and a nazi supporter... not a right wing extremist.....

  • potato, potatoe.

  • I disagree. If you read his list of people that made the biggest impression on him, his heroes, they are all Republicans.

He is a right wing Extremist in every way.

  • and thats why his last note he left before the shooting was infact a conservative talking point/ fear mongering propaganda.

"If you want to take my guns, this is how you'll get them"

I do remember another fine upstanding conservative gent who was scared that Obama will take his guns and did the only logical thing possible.. SHOT TWO POLICE OFFICERS WITH THEIR OWN GUNS!

You see what that batshit crazy fear mongering gets.. a reason for batshit crazy people to go BATSHIT CRAZY.

  • wow that guard's mama is a strong woman. gold star

  • Exactly, look at the hate this man had towards people who never did anything to him, and contrast it with her calm and rational response to a man who just murdered her son.

  • Interesting comments from the ex-wife. It will be interesting to see if there were medical problems besides the obvious psychological ones that pushed him to this.

  • At the end.... wait what ??????????? 8-/

  • For those who would turn the U.S. further into a police state, this delusional man's crime was a gift.

  • Yep. They will use this and the abortion doctors murder as an excuse.

  • Dude, you say a lot of good stuff sometimes, but I think it's about time we compare our "oppression" to the oppression other people feel around the world. I think a lot of people would laugh at an American talking about his freedoms being taken away.

The corrections industry is big business here, but it mostly works by simply catching you in a trap, not reeling you in like a fish. its not that hard to see the traps.

People worry about wire taps, but smoke blunts in their cars and get busted.

  • We are definitely freer than most countries, but we shouldn't take it for granted. Many in the corporate/government establishment are happy to try to move us in the direction of less freedom, every chance they get.

I hope you don't think this is a paranoid thing to say. Most of us acknowledge that 9/11 was exploited to justify a ruinous war or two, plus anti-democratic moves like Patriot Act I and II, which were already written up and ready to go, waiting for the right moment.

  • you can start thanking president bush any time now

  • across the spectrum? no, just right winger terrorists

  • I can see it now... More unlawful searches, less personal freedoms, and all levels of law enforcement with itchy taser fingers. Whatever was done here may be a terrible thing, but it will be advertised heavily to create the desired effect.

  • Well said.

  • No it won't! Come on, it's time to fucking take a break from all the government paranoia for a second. That's why this guy DID what he did!

This is not an isolated accident. The fucking fear mongering about Obama is everywhere.

People are afraid that the gov is sinister and malice.

The truth is, most violence of this level doesnt happen because of malice-it happens because of FEAR & PARANOIA.

Wake the fuck up for once. This guy was nuts, but there were all sorts of people fueling his fire.

  • "The fucking fear mongering about Obama is everywhere. "

No shit! It's all over your news stations. If you want to get angry about it, blame the very folks that have the power and resources to sway public opinion until another abortion clinic gets bombed. That would be more constructive than worrying about my alleged "government paranoia," which seems to be the new term for "one who isn't blind."

  • I am angry at Fox News!

I'm angry because I'm just trying to live my life, and everyone else wants to create drama and conflict where there is none.

So the guy who shot the innocent security guard-I guess we'll call him "one who isn't blind", then right?

Look, keeping an eye on your government doesnt have to be a strenuous thing. Just don't be a dumbfuck and nothing will happen. But people get bored with that. people get bored with reality. So they create drama where there is none.

  • "I'm angry because I'm just trying to live my life, and everyone else wants to create drama and conflict where there is none."

I can dig that. Hell, the same thing angers me.

"So the guy who shot the innocent security guard-I guess we'll call him "one who isn't blind", then right?"

No, that guy's a murderer, and that question was a ridiculous stretch at best.

"I am angry at Fox News!"

Good! I don't like those drama stirring puppets either. So, why then waste your anger on me?

  • because honestly, I think people overreact when they say shit like that (about our freedoms), and I think a lot of overreaction can build into something really fucked up. I see a lot of confusion and misinformation everywhere, and I see a lot of angry people. I just see something bad brewing. Period.

And I think if something really bad were to happen to us, it would be because of US. Not THEM. Whoever "they" are.

  • So yea, I'm going to call shenanigans on your assessment. Maybe instead of personal searches on people of color, we might have more on people who....look Anglo-Saxon-ish. Just a thought.

  • Or how about simply, searching and detaining people who commit serious crimes, and leave all the innocent people of all colors alone, rather than stirring up even more fear and hate on the news, leading right up to another incident, like the one that started this debate.

  • really? blame the media? could you be a little more obvious please?

  • I'm sorry, but I'm tired of seeing Black men dead on tv, by the hands of White men. Be it the undercover cop that got shot by other police or this situation.

  • I'm tired of seeing it too, but the other folks on this thread think I have "government paranoia." They're so fixated on what the media jams up their ass, that they'll likely never realize that the problem is on their TV's, which they seem to be glued to.

  • Well, I said that because you said "What freedoms will they take away now?"

And you know who shared that concern of yours? James Van Ross. So, sorry, but that sort of shit kind of freaks me out right now.

I don't see the government killing innocent Americans in cold blood. I see NWO loons killing innocent Americans in cold blood.

How many more innocent people have to die? I'm not saying we should give up our freedoms, I'm saying we ARE NOT giving them up, so why the overreaction?

  • your paranoiac's fantasy is exactly why von brunnhole committed murder. keep trying to misdirect about "left/right paradigms" while espouses the far-right's crap. everyone sees through it.

  • You're wasting your time blaming my alleged "paranoia." The problem exists on your TV.

  • And all your problems with the government taking away your freedoms exist on the internet! Cant you see the parallel there?

Or maybe, just maybe there is some truth to what BOTH of us are saying.

But I think the ultimate truth is that 90% of the starving, oppressed, sickly people in the rest of the world would gladly trade your life in America for theirs.

  • Entertaining thread. Honestly, you're all mostly in agreement, and yet are continuing to argue out of pride I guess. You all agree the media is manufacturing content to sensationalize opinion, you all agree that those recent murdering loons were more wacky and paranoid than the government deserves, and you all agree that we all should nonetheless keep the government in check because it is too easy for them to take advantage of people if they're not paying attention. Isn't this a fair assessment?

  • Yes, I think its a fair assessment, and good mediating.

I just think the see-saw of blind trust used to be tipped too much in the government, ironically at the beginning of Bush's presidency, and now it's tipped too much in the direction of conspiracy theories, ironically, at the beginning of Obama's presidency.

And that just doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me.

Plus, the fact that I even survived the Bush admin in one piece tells me maybe I overreacted sometimes.

  • @ zndprophet

If you were to search: nano-thermite

--you would see a list containing an interview w/Danish Scientist.

In my opinion it isn't necessarily the case everyone in govt is getting $ under the table, so to speak. But some of these players are downright criminal, w/our troops in danger.

  • did you see the 72 year old woman get tasered? horrible

  • Yes. Tasers seem to be going off quite frequently these days, but I need to be careful saying that or I'm labeled "paranoid."

  • Comment removed

  • that guy was an idiot
