So, I have a question. Im looking for a new stagepiano/synth with really good pianosamples, but it also has to have good el.pianos and other sounds like brass, pads, leads etc.. What do people recommend? I see that there is a little disagreement about the pianosounds in this S90 xs, but its still better than for example the Roland rd700 gx?

And also, what about the famous dx7-sound? Do you find those is the S90 xs?

well i wouldnt say OVERALL....... just in piano dept.

for synth etc it blows the ES away,,,,,,,

they just made a very poor soundset for grand piano...... i hope they can fix it via firmware

ya i have to agree the s90 es is just better overall

actually im running through QSC K12'S and Soundcraft board. so uh.. ya..... ive heard it.... too clear lol

there is a lot of eq'ing possibiliies..... extensive 4 band... another 3 band in edit. and of course cutoff and resonance. you have to use the eq's to open up the velocities on higher notes to make it SPANK. ...i tweaked my old ES sound back.. but the rhodes etc have to be tweaked.. poor programing i must say.....the S6 as is sounds like cotton stuffed in the soundharp. no spank. the small window works ok... but bert smorenburg said you wont REALLY need its... WRONG BERT... you really need it.

I have found that any keyboard must have a great sound system to allow it to demo the full capacity of richness and fullness on every db level. Please tell me you're not playing through an 6 inch Firstact amp from Walmart :) Just kidding... Actually, my s90xs sounds so sweet just going thru my Carvin accoustic amp... can't wait to demo it on my powered Yamaha studio speakers.

the piano doesnt sound good in the lower block registers...... the ES is better. .. the high notes are sweeter... by my block ELTON JOHN chords do NOT sound the same at all... the voicing has TOTALLY CHANGED... not impressed with the S6

The S6 is just an additional piano, all of the other pianos are still there.

Yeah but the emphasis is on performance and playing...not programming via a screen....

Yeah but thats no right to make a little tiny screen!! But when saw the keyboard in person, I was blown away, it looks GREAT. Check out my vid, I played it and loved it!!!
