  • 3:36 WTF?

If I saw water like that IRL I'd prob freak out...

  • Wow, those water effects are just orgasmic (not really). Even now, in 2011, these are some of the best water effects seen in a game. So nice.

  • It's a shame the game runs like shit.

  • @Girdzyy

    Shame your computer is shit.

  • @Karmelloo It runs like shit on the best machines. Not that you'd know

  • @Girdzyy

    Lol orly

    Phenom II X4 955 3.1ghz

    HD 5970

    6GB DDR3

And I run it on 90FPS+.

Just cos you're poor and cant afford a good PC doesnt mean others cant

  • @Karmelloo Some people have social lives and might want to spend that money on going on with mates instead of on World of Warcraft or whatever you play.

  • @Girdzyy

Buahahha you stupid poor kid ^^ That comp costed me only 1 weekly wage, thats all ive ever spent on a computer. Too bad you're 16 or the likes and you dont know what a job is.

  • @Karmelloo That doesn't change the fact you play World of Warcraft and probably have no social life, and your profile says you're a 30 year old, first year college student with a part time job who plays WoW.. Your life = fail.

  • @Girdzyy

All of it is fake, except WoW, which is a game like all the others.

So if you play games you got no social life ? Way too look at the world, kid ;]

  • WOW i am getting this just for the water

  • i can only see fluid in games with DX10?

  • No, you need PhysX to see the fluid like this. Without a PhysX enabled GPU the game still runs. Just not as detailed and kinda pointless since that is the point of this game.

  • Why play a PC Game with a joypad!!

  • this came with my 295 fuck yeah it rox

  • its a shame this game only uses 1 core from the cpu =(

  • Just because it's not about action doesn't mean it sucks. You probably jumped in expecting a mindless shooter. LOL!

    Poor kid.

  • Wooow. I agree with masterpiraka and tolstoievsky. Honestly, do you think every single game out there is gonna be a mindless run-and-gun? Just because it isn't doesn't mean its 'total garbage'. There's different people out there who have different ideas of fun. So next time you're hating on a game, make a post like "Hey, if you play css, crysis, or left 4 dead like me, save your time and money and don't buy this game. You will most likely find this as boring as fuck"

  • i hat ethe demo version. as soon as the vid is over it just does weird things tells you the status of the FPS and then nothing. whats up with that? ..

  • the fluid flows more like mercury than water, but still impressive

  • BETTER GRAPHICS THAN CRYSIS

  • @ shipsim123

    Different graphics than crysis...

This is a linear style game, essentially like Half-Life 2. Therefore graphics can be more intents with less strain on your computer.

  • Awesome effects. Soon enough they'll actually be able to make streams of water, not just water blobs floating across a floor.

  • Maybe they'll make streams of water out of lots of floating blobs!

  • Buy it

  • buy it,

  • NO AUDIO?

  • i guess ima be cutting grass all summer just to buy a pc to run it yay

  • And people say Crysis has great physics. That is the most insanely realistic physics engine I've ever seen.

  • this game, runs with windows vista?

  • ofcourse it runs with Vista its optimized for Vista were not stuck in year 2007 anymore you know. everything runs on Vista these days.

  • Does any1 know if a ATI HD4850 would run this good? I have Quad core 2.40 GHz and 3 GB of ram.. Im very sure i couldnt run it with everything on very high, but.. Would it run good? (yea, i know im annoying... Sorry)

  • ATI dont have Physx so you would not see any of the fancy stuff that you just saw in this game.

    NVIDIA RULES!!!!!!!!

  • ATi used to be equal until nVidia bought out Aegia's PhysX system and put it only into their cards. Older games such as MoH:A had PhysX that worked on all systems but the developers sucked so it was implemented terribly (ragdolls got all stretchy and turned into elastic bands).

  • wow....I did not know that....Thanks for the info man ;)

  • You are not annoying

The graphics are with ATI the same. But the physics aren't that good. But you can still play it and enjoy it !

  • Untrue, the entire system chugs when playing this game with ATI cards, though you can play it you have to floor the graphics if you want anything close to a decent framerate.

  • I have an ATI card and it runs just fine on high no problems with the framerate

  • You must have one hell of a card then, all ive got is 2 hd3870 cards :(

  • wel i got a HD4850 so that must be the reason :)

  • yes they are the same but you can't turn on the nvidia phyz-x utility. it does look impressive with it on, however when you're really into this game i don't think you'll notice it unless you're really looking at the small details

  • wow, thats awesome!!! :D

  • wow again HEAVY GAME! like Crysis

  • E8500, 2*3,16 ghz + 2 * 9800 gtx = 33 fps avg. in this demo

  • I run nvidia 9600GT with direct X 9 and it looks the same like this no differences at all.

  • shit I cant run that because of physX :(

  • That sure is some really pretty graphics :) but is the game any good ?

  • i dont think this season in pc its about releasing the cpu(all 4 of them) job.

    its the other way around.

if the branded calculations were not there

this game could run just fine on any strong system.

its just intentionally redusing a system power because the game developer dont like the gpu brand..

  • -microsoft makes dx10 for all vga cards to be equal.

-asus makes a hole in the water that cant be selled because its worthless.

-nvidia finds a way to sell that worthless

and makes cards that cant jump in 3d but they can make holes....

now game developers are creating extra holes to get money from nvidia.

ps dont compaire that crap with crysis..crysis had art in it. this one is all hidding in dark.

  • well, this is definately better than crysis at indoor environments

outdoor environments, if they REALLY tried, would be better than crysis too with this game engine, but they didn't make it outdoor now did they? :P

    crysis sucks now xD

  • Does the Nvidia 9800 take PhysX?

  • all graphics cards from the 8 series upwards support physx

  • Really? How do I apply it?

  • its just part of the drivers you don't apply it or anything download the latest drivers and physx is supported its not like something you have to do all it is, is the driver telling the gpu to work the physx calculations instead of giving the cpu something else to do with the 500 thousand other things it has to do with vista lols

  • let's pray this has better optimization than Crysis...

  • not even close

  • lol wtf crysis is much better ^^

  • always a retard with that msg...

if there is only one Graphiccard on the marked, you can play a game with, (8800GT) and even with that not very stable, I wouldn't call the game "better" in any way.

  • ati doesnt support physx because it is a gimmick, those same calculations can EASILY be made on a modern multi core cpu. nvidia just likes to think the graphics card should do all the work even though the cpu is far less utilized

  • download the tech demo yourself then, run it and set the physics to software as opposed to hardware and then just watch your fps drop...

  • Okay why? I have an ATI and a PhysX Card, runs this Tech-Demo fine.

  • this is a brilliant tech demo to show off youtube's HD quality.

  • The water at 04:20 looks kinda like semen :¬(

Also, in an attempt to make a game seem more realistic - why does no-one properly animate the players hand pulling levers or turning handles? Is that so hard?

  • Yea it's probably too difficult to animate. lol

-Game designers- "Ok so we've got 28 megabytes left before we fill the dvd. We can go for these amazing Direct X 10 water particle effects, or we can add the animation of your character grabbing handles, and pushing doors. Take your pick."

-Project manager- "Who cares if you can see their hand grab the shit. We'd have to hold the camera angle still, and probably piss off the gamer while he/she's being attacked... Lets go for the physics"

  • Holy shit. I've been envisioning particle based physics for years. o.o

  • Werry good quality video 5* ; )

  • pervers gute Grafik

  • alright....time to get a dedicated card for physX

  • or a good nVidia card.

  • I've got a 9800 GTX+ , it handles PhysX comfortably alongside regular graphics; I don't expect you'll need two cards for PhysX games, just one good one.

  • I imagine a 9800 GTX+ will do fine as long as this game is optimized properly.

I'm getting a GTX 280 in a few days so I'm pumped for this game :D

  • or both ;)

  • 4 me, animations don't look fluent... really weird!! (physx animations)

  • physx doesn't do animations, it does physics, moron.

  • and how can you see that it does physics? through an animation, f u bi*tch

  • ...not quite. An animation is pre-rendered. Although there may be smaller animations, it is done in real time, and is therefore not an animation itself. As in it reacts to objects. Unlike an animation.

  • okay, right ... -.- xD

  • weird looking water, looks like metal shavings in places and mercury in others.

  • No, your a fucking moron, and does not deserve to live

  • NA are ya?

  • Lol, you don't know shit.

  • There isn't a game in the world that looks better on a console compared to a PC.

  • Except for Resident Evil 4, but that's just a shitty port so it doesn't count.

  • You're as dumb as a post.

  • Anyone who says the 360 is superior in graphics and hardware has to be either joking or a complete moron.

  • Thank you.

  • I don't think anyone has been saying that. lol

  • Are you completely blind or something?

Respekt :)

  • if only the gameplay in most of these modern games would be as good as their graphic engine...

  • Also gut aussehen tut es alle Mal.

  • ordentlich :)

  • NV 4 EVA :D

  • nicht schlecht wird ja immer besser

  • Krass! O.o
