Totally the reason why I refuse to own a car with a slushbox... every single one I've ever owned with an auto either shifted real hard, too early, or slipped real bad. Stick FTW. Too bad the GP's didn't offer them after, what, like '73?
Looks like it's falling out of gear. My stock tranny was doin that as it was getting ready go. It only did it when the engine was cold though. Once it got to operating temp it was fine. It was like that for about 10,000 miles before it finally went.
That is EXACTLY what the problem was....blown channel plate gasket. I demodded and sold this car 3 years ago now.

actually in 1993 they built one for a very short time with a 3.1 motor, but they are really hard to find.

wait, he tested it in his garage/driveway at home? if the tranny decided to work for a sec, he would have gone through the wall. lol.

Well it turned out to be a blown channel plate gasket that was causing the issue.
Fixed now! But then I decided to de mod this car, sell it stock, and take on another project...lol.
