  • Look up jazz is dead's version and be swept away!!! If I'm not mistaken, the same guitarist is in both bands

  • What year is this from?

    Thanks for posting!

  • I first heard of the Panic in 1989, I was 14 years old. It was tough for an under 18 year old for me to see them alot, I was only in the 8th grade, No car, No believable fake I.D. I just remember my first live recording I traded for. April 8, 1989. The Armory, Valdosta GA. I still have the tape and have transfered it to my computer and back up file. The tape is actually in my safety deposit box. WSMFP! Wood Tour, Denver baby! I wish I was a colorado farmer, to afford Aspen tix.

  • Panic grabbed my leg and pulled me in 2/9/89 and have never left =best live band

  • this photo is 100% not from a panic show

  • @251648 I just googled "concert" or something. Better than looking at a black screen, aye?

  • @251648 how could you tell?

  • @251648 To many people sitting down and no where near enough smoke for a Panic show.

  • @251648 i was kinda intrigued by the thumb nail pic but def not from a show. t-town and biloxi are right around the corner! work to panic..... :)

  • @251648 only 1 fist pump and sitting down = dead giveaway

  • :)

  • Bonnie Dobson wrote it as a poem so as far as a song goes. It is a grateful dead song with lyrics written by someone else. If you want to split hairs Robert Hunter wrote most of Jerrys stuff except cream puff and a few others plus of course the covers.

  • @werdrant thats not entirely true, she did perform ti as a song long before the dead did it as song, but this is a dead cover, her arrangement of the song was different from this, this is a cover of grateful dead's morning dew!

  • It is funny there are at least 30 version's of this ,poor Dobson never saw any money from this at all ,Tim Rose used a legal loophole to claim authorship in 1966 ,other people claim it was a traditional song ,Dobson actually said she wrote it after watching the film "On The Beach ''.Tim Rose finally confessed he ripped Dobson off ,not that she got any back royalties .

So to present Panic do one of the best versions ,up there with Nazareth and jeff beck Group .

  • @katakauchi Garcia/Saunders do a good version too.

  • Why does everyone think this is a cover of a dead song ,It was actually written by Bonnie Dobson in 1962.

    Still great version

  • @katakauchi It can be a classic without being a cover. After all, it was on their first studio album, saw plenty of live performances and Panic's obviously basing their rendition off the Dead's arrangement(s), not the original.

  • @Shotgunnova and so nicely faithful.

  • @Shotgunnova yah. you win that one for sure.

  • @katakauchi DERP!!! We all know that. She wrote it but the Dead made it great and Panic rocks it out!

  • @katakauchi It just says Grateful Dead Classic. The Dead made it amazing anyways

  • holy shit is this good!!!

  • I believe this is from 2006 Halloween show in Las Vegas at the MGM. I was there and it was unbelievable......first time the boys had played Morning Dew since January 14th of 1989, if I recall correctly. The whole show was great, but this was definitely the highlight....

  • Where did you find this track?

  • @fatfatfatfatfat2 Got it off Soulseek. I think it's off an unreleased covers album called "Jackassolantern, vol. 2" or something.

  • No one is sitting at a panic show...

  • @zdaddee I was gonna say ....

  • Saw them back in 99 up in Michigan. It was an average size jam band show. Few years laters saw them down south and it was like wholly shit I'm in a sea of madness. It was people for miles....truely amazing. What a great band!

  • @AndyAutomaticss they've come a long way in 25 years

  • SWEET

  • Dude the lights are moving...

  • is this the Uno Lakefront In Nola>>????

  • Damn I really thought it was GD playing during the instrumental middle section

  • Yeah, it's really tight.

  • They do play bigger shows, although I think for the video pic, I just googled "stadium" or something. Haha...

  • hahaha, yeah i know, I used to see them at thes little bar in ames IA, now they are selling out Stephens Auditorium down the street..I love it
