you seem to type at a good speed. I use sougou on my PC. Have you used sougou before, and do you find it easier to use or do you like mac's application better?
@jessejitahidi that was made about two years ago, at that time QIM is the best in my opinion. (not free) Lately sogou and QQ pinyin input methods have been released for free. both of them are pretty good. I think all three are better than the one that comes with Mac OS X.
I am in US so that I don't type Chinese very often. People could be much faster than that and you will do better as you get more familiar with the input method you use because it 'learns' your most frequent used words.

It's available on every Mac product line from Apple Inc, also it's iPhone and iPad product line. Go to your local Apple store and play with it. It's pretty cool.
