@aesteban Cant post a link, so I added a post to your feed thingy. Basically its Ian McQue, his site is on blogspot, if you google for Ian McQue concept art you'll find it.
I love procedurally generated, so looks like a game for me (I talked to you on the indie gamer forums with the 'game creation challenge as ostrich160)
@zoombapup Oh definitely, I agree. Both Skyland and Avatar The Last Airbender had great visual styles. With Skyland I'd say that had a lot to do with the kind of lighting/shading they used. And indeed, the animation in Avatar was great. The Making-off video mentioned all animators got Martial Arts training, simply to help them understand the movements.
I thought that the fanatic in me had died, but this made me smile. It's a good surprise; this seems like a wonderful project.
@Rc1290Dreadnought I found it really sad and frustrating that avatar the movie completely ignored the comedy and friendly antognism between the characters. The animation has soul where the hollywood film simply didn't.
Will be interested to see what you are planning for the crafting side of things? Do you intend for there to be a Vanguard/EQ2 style of crafting where the player actually makes the product, and their decisions during the crafting process can increase/decrease the quality of the end product? Or will it be the standard one click make armour thing like in WOW and many other games?
@johnyfartpants I'm still not entirely sure. I want to explore the space of trade/crafting systems in the game. It's likely it will have a few iterations as development continues. The point about crafting isn't just to collect better buffed armour/weapons though, so it will naturally feel different because of that. In general, I want you to craft things you need, or can produce especially (i.e. it would be great if people could explore the crafting space and come up with things unique to them).
Can you give a link to the gallery of that artist with such beautiful concept art ?
Thanks for the video, i'm catching up on your dev diary. And i'm really looking forward to your game!

Mentioning Skyland and Avatar: The Last Airbender in one minute is apparently enough to get my attention. Which I find shocking, to be honest.

@Rc1290Dreadnought Well, they're both very good examples of animation with real character. So they deserve our attention.

@zoombapup Yeah, I heard that someone released a movie about magic, under the same name, but I haven't seen it yet.
A quote from the second episode of the series that seems appropriate:
Katara: "Don't you see? Aang's brought us something we have had in a long time; fun!"
Sokka: "Fun!? We can't fight firebenders with fun! >:( "
Aang: "You should try it some time! :D "
