The time skip in the manga happened quite a while ago, if i'm correct. they already covered all of the major story elements that they needed to, and i think that it is the appropriate time to move on.

Franky would probably get his ass kicked by Kid i'm sorry but out of all of the Straw Hats Luffy seems the most likely to fight Kid and actually fight on par with him especially after the timeskip. Sanji vs Marco would be a beast match up and i really hope Oda considers it sometime in the story becuase it would just be purely epic. Seeing Nami's and Robin's breasts was a total turn on lol the new music was good it really adds to the whole theme of the timeskip which is a totally new adventure!
