  • When I was younger and sound asleep (as to what's going on in the world), my dream home had granite counter tops and a triple car garage. Now that I'm awake; this is my dream house. Thanks so much for sharing.

  • @prepperpat Thanks Pat, I am actualy up here at the tent right now, I was supposed to head home early this morning but now there is a big snow storm going, they are saying maybe up to 10 inches by tonight and the wind is blowing like crazy. Right now when I look to my right I can see out the front door and can not see the trees across the lake, its snowing that hard lol. The wood box is full, its 21 outside, and 81 in here. Its going to be a great day : ) Thanks again Pat. Joe

  • Hi Guys!

.....thanks for posting! Is it a large pot/container that's heated for the showers?

  • @regenerati Thanks for watching and for the comment, yes, I heat 2 and a half gallon pots on the woodstove or in the summer I do it either on the propane cook stove or even the gas bbq and then you have that much water for the shower. I posted a video on April 12th 2011 called Off Grid: the shower in detail. you can get a better look at it there if you want. I am up here now and it is snowing and 16 degrees out, I even have the woodstove in the outhouse burning, lol. Thanks. Joe

  • i'd love to visit Joe and Zach's gay hut of man love

  • @Megatt1 We are Father and Son asshole.

  • @Megatt1 Sounds like you have some weird fantasies there buddy. you should get that checked out.

    Zach

  • nice place. good job.

  • did you buy the land? how does it work?

  • @UL439 Yes, the land was bought, thank you for watching.

  • If you have ever smelled an outhouse in the summer, you probably don't want a shower in there.

  • Great solution btw how often do you get special guests like bear, wolf, and other forest residents?

  • how long does a 2 1/2 gallon shower last?

  • @KillerFlyingFish What we do is you go in and you get your hair and body wet, then shut off the water, then you saop and shampoo and you then turn the water back on and you have plenty to get all the soap out and sit there and enjoy the water for maybe a minute before it runs out. The only time it doesnt seem like enough is when its super cold and you just want to sit a little longer with the hot water on you lol. Thanks for the comment.

  • Off the grid...dreamy. :)

  • your an official bad ass

  • This is cool, I've done something similar with a Touring caravan and awning, built a wooden frame inside the awning and cladded it with 3/4 ply

  • @steezergeezer I would love to see pictures of that if you have any. Its always fun to get other ideas from people like yourself, Thank you for the comment. Joe

  • @JoeandZachSurvival I will get some pictures in the next 2 weeks or so and make a video and upload to my Youtube account, and yes I agree it's fun talking to people with the same interests and ideas as me :) Steve.

  • @steezergeezer Thanks Steve, I look forward to it and I subscribed but PLEASE tell me when you upload them in case it doesnt show up in the subscription video list. Zach started the channel and had to drag my ass here to do videos at first so he gets all the emails when someone uploads a video, I never see them unless they are on that subscription page. Thanks again. Joe

  • Off the grid....lol

  • Lmao o shit... Hell when its time to bug out ,shit your gas is going to run out.....

  • @earthpilgrim0 The gas is only used when we have it, we have popane lights as well as kerosene lantens and stuff that runs on battery. We wouldnt have the tv nor the microwave but most cooking is done on the wood stove and I rarely watch the tv unless the kids are up there I would much rather listen to the radio. Thank you for watching.

  • @earthpilgrim0 Come on man, give them some credit, have to created anything like this for you and your family?

  • @wishen4fishen2 Thank You, that was appreciated. Joe

  • @JoeandZachSurvival No sweat Joe.I'm starting on mine in Oregon come spring, you did a good job here bud.I'll post my step by step video when I complete it hopefully this fall.I have allot of work to do between now n then and again seriously good job, respect>Sincerely Johnny.

  • @wishen4fishen2 Thank you, I just subscribed, I am looking forward to every step, its fun and rewarding. If you have any questions at all, please ask, I have been a carpenter/home builder my whole life. I thank you for commenting. Joe

  • @JoeandZachSurvival Awesome I'm about to do the same with you:) I like your video's.Nice to see other good folks folks preparing and I most likely will, have a few questions later.I'm not a great carpenter but I can generally figure things out as I go.Your a home builder? talk about a satisfying work.I have two buddies that were small construction contractors and they have both lost everything in this housing crash.

  • @wishen4fishen2 Work is slow everywhere, I now am mainly doing remodeling and a few houses here and there but only as a framing contractor on them, I would never build one to sell in this market. The house I live in here is huge and the kids are getting older and one is moved out and the other is close so it would be just Zach still at home so I want to sell this place soon and have a much smaller house and spend more time up north at the tent. I get work up there too. Thank You

  • @JoeandZachSurvival Yea I here that,at least you have very marketable skills to offer.Man I sure like your tent home,it looks cozy and no bills!

  • @wishen4fishen2 I cant wait to get back up there, Zach and I were talking yesterday and he said he was feeling the need to get to the tent. Not bad to have that feeling at 17, it may carry over a long time. Me at 45, I want to be there all the time. Lol Thanks. Joe

  • Lmao... your are not off the grid you have a T.V ,and a microwave......lol

  • really like the outhouse! SWEET idea and design. . . .

  • Hey thats a really nice setup you have there, I am impressed with your smart sollutions. Do you own that land?

  • @neuroleptika Sorry, YT didnt tell me that this was posted, yes I own the land. Thank you for watching.

  • is the house like 16x16 ? please tell me :)

  • @crasy4lifes The tent is 16x20, if you go through the videos I have several on the tent, there is one called "off grid, the tent in pictures" it shows when we put it up, and the size of it. Thanks for watching. Joe

  • Nice set up! How do you keep it safe from vandals?

  • @jeepster4u2003 Thanks for the comment, I have never had any trouble at all up there, its very remote. The door is locked but since its so remote if someone wanted in they would be able break in but I havnt had a any trouble yet. Thanks for watching. Joe

  • @JoeandZachSurvival

Thanks for the reply Joe! I live in Utah and land like yours would cost a fortune to buy. Desert land is cheap but accessable to anyone with a 4X4 or ATV. Maybe I'll just stay put and ride out the storm in my small communtiy. Good luck to you and Zach!

  • thats a badass place i would love to have somthing like it to hunt out of

  • @0804johnboy Thanks, we have some great deer hunting up there and if you go through the videos I have several from up at the tent and on deer hunting up there. Thanks for watching. Joe

  • nice place, although some of those trees are a little close. one day they will fall down.

  • @UNPROPHETE If you watch some of the videos from up there after this video you watched, I have cut down more of them but there are some very big trees that could easily wipe the tent out if they fell so I cut anything down that looks unhealthy. Thanks for the comment. Joe

  • Very nice cabin!

  • @snaps81625 Thanks for the nice comment, I have several videos on spending time up there, I wish I was up there now. Joe

  • @JoeandZachSurvival Guess what, I wish I was up there to... me and about a few more million that know the S is go to HTF sooner than later! I wish you well!

  • putting the water bucket next to the big battery seems hazardous

  • @christianz2010 Next year, well I guess this year once summer comes, I am going to re-do the shower area and move that battery into the main area under the counter so it can still run the shower but not be IN the shower and I can run other things off it as well. Thanks for watching. Joe

  • Nice to see, and thanks for sharing.

  • @tomperanteau Thank you for watching and taking the tike to leave a comment, I appreciate that. Joe

  • looks very functional, do need solar and a wood gas generator

  • @SouthWestIron The solar and wind wre a for sure thing, and the wood gas generator is a great idea, I have no shortage of wood up there. Thank you for the comment. Joe

  • love what you got started. just wondering why you are not pumping water from the lake at least for grey water use.

  • @ddAdmire Thank you for commenting, I could do that but since its an outside toilet and we have very few dishes becuase I usually use paper plates and cups it wouldnt be alot that is needed. Next year I am going to put in the hand pump well so since thats always been in the back of my mind I also didnt go ahead and make a lake to tent pump system. If I knew it was going to take 5 years until I was going to put in the hand well when I started, I probobly would have . Thank You. Joe

  • great job

  • Thats a beautiful place you have...looks very relaxing just enough necessities!! Great Job!

  • This serves as a great "hang out" 99% of the time when no Bug out is needed. Good location, small size. Wood stove, minimalized water use with room for addition of 60 to 400 watt solar.

    I'm jealous.

The ones criticising you will die in the suburbs, frozen and shot dead on the way out of the city.

  • how much was the shelter itself? thats a nice setup

  • nice

  • You are inspiring. We are in the midst of trying to build a cabin and it is slow going. I love what you and your son are doing and I love that you are doing it together. We just made our first home made bed and got the floor to the cabin finished......waiting on those lumber store coupons to come in LOL

  • love the cabin, music, great video! I subbed. by the way I'm only 15 and inspired, but do you own the land or something thats where I'm stumped on this.

  • Cool man I'm Gunna make a small one with 2 -4 bunks clothes and wood and a small stove a .22 lr for protection an for game

  • This is not a good bug out shelter. Gasoline generator is useless and even if you get it to run off propane your still quite limited. A very small solar setup would be light years better. Wind for night power would be excellent. Everything else should run on wood.

  • @fcguy7 We have plans to do solar , you are correct !

  • this made me subscribe. chill music and a great video. thank you.

  • @northernsurvivalist1 Thanks for watching and for the nice comment. I am pretty sure that I am leaving in the morning and heading up to the tent, they should have enough ice up there so I can safely cross the lake, I havnt been there in almost a month and a half and cant wait to get there. Thanks again.

  • wow - looks like you got it all covered - wish i could do the same in the UK.

All i need is a divorce and $20,000 and im sorted! ;)

  • Very nice. I'm planning something like that myself. Hopefully, it will be as good.

  • @tbeltier I would love to see pictures and or videos on it, and if you have any questions, shoot me a message. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Joe

  • how much would it cost to build something like that

  • you guys have a good start! I like the location and the shelter. It provides good security in the winter, but you should consider audiable trip wire alarms to give you a early warning system for the summer months. You should consider solar power to run all your electric toys. Even though you're next to a lake, a good water catching system would benifit you too.. I didn't see much food either. Think about an additonal place you could store large amounts of food, like under the floor..

  • never trusted natural gas myself

  • Nice place, but when you "bug out" you probably will not have access to gasoline to run your generator. This would render most of your cabin useless other than just a shelter. Might want to consider some sort of alternativ energy like solar.

  • @SailingandSuch Thanks for the comment but when I built that place, it was done two ways, the whole place has the gas lines run so if there is no gasoline I have lots of propane up there and there are propane lights and the stove etc, we also have kerosene lamps etc, I can be totaly off the grid with whats up there for a couple months for sure. Solar and wind is in the future plans, I have videos explaining the future up there Thanks again for the comment and for watching. Joe

  • lol! OMG I wish we had a fire place in the outhouse when I was growing up! We used it even when it was -30c out!

  • @joygrant27 Thanks for the comment Joy, I have been up there when its 30 below, and usualy I dont start that stove out there because im usualy not in there long but Zach likes to fire it up and when its going its nice. Yea, you run to the outhouse at 30 below, your already cold before you get there, then you drop your pants which was the ONLY place left on your body holding any heat, and then for your reward you sit on a 30 below seat. hahaha. Thanks for watching. Joe

  • @JoeandZachSurvival I would probably start it every time LOL! I'd probably add a bookshelf in there too! I know it would mean hauling wood to the outhouse more!

  • thats awesome do you use this shelter for any other purposes? Like a hunting or fishing camp?

  • @BUCKrub91 Thanks for watching, yes thats our deer camp, and I do lots of fishing up there as well and also grouse hunting. We have lots of videos on hunting and fishing on the channel, I shot a nice buck this year and that video is towards the top of the list, I didnt film shooting it but you get to see it all the same. Thanks for the comment.

  • Nice house but i would not take a shower there because you have a 12v battery next to water and i just dont think that is safe.

  • @noblebullshark Thanks for watching, next year I am planning an addition out the back and all that will be changed, I want the battery charged by solar and not in the shower area but instead in the main cabin where I can run other things off from it as well. Thanks for the comment.

  • @noblebullshark It's fine. Just like a car battery, best way to clean the battery is to turn the car on, turn the lights on, and hose off the battery terminals with a water hose.

  • @noblebullshark 12 volts wont shock you.

  • That is the nicest outhouse I have ever seen! Good job! Oh, and the house is cool too!

  • Nice and simple yet got all the necessary comforts for survival.Nice lay out.

  • sir, ive watched a lot of vids on bugout places...a lot of them were good....but yours is the best by far....thank you very much for sharing this vid and all your other ones.....awesome job on the shelter...

  • @outlaw965 Thanks for watching Outlaw, what a nice comment, I appreciate it. I wish really bad I was up there right now, the gates were closed after thanksgiving but there hasnt been any snow so there are no ski trails groomed up there, not that I have ever gone in that way, its always across the lake or snowshoes, the ski trails are not all that close. In a few more weeks the ice will be thick enough to get in there, I cant wait. Thanks again.

  • Nice video

  • @jmmurdy Thank you, its nice of you to take the time to message me, I have lots of tent videos on the channel and right now I wish I was up there. Thanks again. Joe

  • Nice. You might want to consider a real fireplace/chimney, and putting the wood stove in the middle of the room for better efficiency (heating AND draft). Venting out the wall is problematic. But Congrats!

  • @Wazabooz Thanks for the comment, if you look at a video I have called the tent in pictures, you will see that I have the whole thing insulated with 4 inch thick foam, even at -30F it doesnt take much to heat the place, and its a real even heat withont a cold floor at all. I agree that having a central located heat source would be a better thing if needed, but its not needed at all up there. That stove has the best draft I have ever seen, its flawless to run. Thank you.

  • wow thats really kool.. i bet you save money like that. country folks can survive or i should say NATURE enthusiasts because here in Los Angeles most would die the first week. that type of living requires a masters degree. Do you offer any classes? seriously no joke.

  • outstanding video!!

  • not bad i'd change a few things but not bad

  • Very nicely decked out!

  • one other thing...at least your outhouse is welcoming, unlike some others I used where you want to get in and get out as fast as you can.

  • @systemaddictshock Ha Ha, thank you for the comments and for watching, I have been in some horrid shitters myself, the one we had previous to the new one your seeing was a cabelas shower house with a plywood built toilet with a hole under it, it worked well for 3 years then started to deteriorate. One nice thing about this one is that Zachary hates spiders so everytime he goes up there he is out there super cleaning it haha, I love it. Thank you again.

  • @JoeandZachSurvival LOL that reminds me of the one "Little Miss Muffet" incident I had at one outhouse...which explains why I continue to be cautious when visiting such locations.

  • I'll just build a traditional rock, wood pole, and earth hooghaan just like what my grandparents and their ancestors did before.

  • @systemaddictshock I am going to look that up to see what they look like, sounds very primitive.

  • @JoeandZachSurvival think of a Kiva, but above ground.

  • SUBBED!

  • looks like a good spot to be when the apocalypse hits, but for real you need to add some saftey features to that shower, i like what you did with the rv pump but i wouldnt want to be showering next to an exposed car battery lol. maybe its not potent enough to kill but i bet youd get a nasty shock or scare. naked and wet sounds like a shitty time for a jolt of electricity.

  • @chupacabras0905 Might wake me up hahaha... Thanks for the comment, next year I am adding on to the tent and making a whole new shower, I dont know if the setup will be different but it might be. I appreciate your input, lets see what happens. Thanks again.Joe

  • @ProdigyUnit Thank you for watching. what is it that doesnt seem safe?, I will admit that in the winter when its 30 below outside your feet want to freeze to the floor be its not isulated but other than that it works well, there is nothing that can heat up the battery so it explodes, its just a 12 volt charge being taken from it, I charge it twice a year and not while showering. It might not be the prettiest but it works great. Thanks again for watching and thanks for the comment.

  • Amazing, I love it!

  • looks great

  • If you were going to build something like this why would you show it to people? Especially the maps of the surrounding area? The idea is not to be found right?

  • @iammadness First of all, I dont think you would be able to tell where it is looking at what the camera shows you of the maps, second, I am going to be building a cabin up there eventually, the tent is off grid but I didnt build it to be a secret bug out location and never said that I did, its a great fun place to go, it is way off the beaten path, its not accessible readily in the winter at all, it fits most of the criteria. although I dont give the address, its not a secret : )

    Thank you !!

  • @JoeandZachSurvival There is technology that can zoom in and clarify those maps. As long as you never tell anyone about your real bug out spot you'll be fine though. Just wish I had some land out in the woods somewhere.

  • Just a thought. have you though of maybe some solar panels with battery storage. You can build your own for pretty reasonable prices. A couple of panels and ABSORBED GLASS MATT or gel batteries would go a long way for having free electricity for creature comforts, like an electric blankets or radios. Other than that, man you have got yourself a sweet bugout.

  • @rebelprepper Thank you for the comment, I appreciate it. I have a 2 part video somewhere in the list on the honda 300 generator and I also talk about both wind and solar, its for sure something I want to do, I want the ability to be total off grid even when the tent comes down and I build a real structure (cabin). Even with the tent, I would like the solar as soon as possible because even though I am set up for no electric the gen gets used alot and to me thats still on grid a little Thankl You

  • Thank you for clearing that up.

  • I hope this doesn't sound too ignorant, but what do you mean when you say "bug out destination". I have heard it used before. Love your cabin.

  • @lilshoppe Hi, and thanks for watching. When people say bug out, or bug out bag or bug out destination they are refering to if something happend and you had to get away from society or whatever you woulkd "bug out "to that destination, or youd grab your bug out bag and head to the woods, you would be bugging out of wherever you are.. Eventually I will build a real cabin where the tent sits but right now its my place to bug out to. Thank you for watching : )

  • Impressive sir

  • @playaplaya861 Thank you for watching and commenting, I JUST walked in the door after tghe 5 hour drive here at the tent, its a balmy 10.9 degrees outside, I about frose my but off untill the wood stove got going, I am up here for 3 days for deer hunting, there is about 3 inches of snow on the ground. Thanks again for watching.

  • LOL this dump is a disaster just waiting to happen...

  • @damiion666 If you don't like it then don't watch it alright !

  • @Zachj888 How will I know whether I like it or not if I don't watch it first?? I'm not psychic!!!

  • @damiion666 Where is yours? LOL!

  • Do you own the land ?

  • @zShizla Thanks for watching George, yes I do own the property. Thanks for the comment.

  • Just reminding you that foil wrap alone won't protect most products from EMP, you need that plastic zip lock or other plastic as a buffer so there is no metal to metal contact. Love the cabin, seriously 10 on a SHTF scale. YOu guys are ready. and what a fun place if no SHTF either way, its a win/win for you guys. GL

  • @crysta555 Brenda, thank you, tell me about you? I go to your channel but there isnt much about yourself. Tell me about Brenda? : )

  • where do you store 100 gallons of gas for the generator? genius on your cabin. Well thought out and that takes some time. U need to faraday wrap your weather radio. Stick in a zip lock and wrap with foil to provide emp protection from bombs or solar flares. Anything with an antennae is toast if not protected. Anything plugged into a wall is toast too. Antennaes are especially sensitive to EMP.

  • @crysta555 The radio wrap is a great idea, I actually have several of those radios so I should have a second stored like you said in case of an EMP.

I have a little shed thingy out back where I store gas but the tent is set up so in a true shtf situation, I dont need electric, gas lines are run for propane lights, we have lamp oil lights, the wood stove, a different shower set up that uses no electric as well, and the weather emergency radio does batteries as well as electric. TY solar coming.

  • LOL Joe, don't tempt me!

  • @CarlaRedPill66 We are the same age you know lol. Its quiet up there, I do alot of work up there now too so sometimes I will spend 20 days at the tent. you can look it up online, Ely MN is the closest town to get groceries and gas. If you wan to know how far from the tent it is (and its a ways away) youll have to keep messaging me in the personal comment page.

If you want a "feel" of the area, look up wely radio its the main radio station up there.

Id say our first date went well hahahaha

  • Looks like heaven to me. Urban living has my mind in a spin. Wish I had a place like this for those days I just want to get away from people.

  • @CarlaRedPill66 Are you single? I am going thru a divorce after 24 years, lets go live at the tent, I am about to throw in the towel on people as well hahaha... Thanks for commenting, I appreciate it : )

  • did anybody see that bong at 1:26

  • @zombiefreak103 I cant believe how many people think thats a bong, please look closer, its a lamp, its got the roundish bottom where you put the tiki oil or kerosene and then the glass globe chimney thing, I sometimes wish I had a bong up there lol but rest assured, I do not. Thanks for watching.

  • @zombiefreak103

it doesnt even look like a bong bro, the top of it is way too wide

  • @zombiefreak103 lmao! thats an old ass lamp ur comment was pretty funny

  • Great video, enjoyed!

  • @CarlaRedPill66 Thank you for watching, we have several videos from up there, I really love it there, its peaceful and you always have something to do, you cant just turn on the faucet, or turn up the heat lol, its all work but fun work. Thanks again for watching and for the comment, I went to your channel, you should upload some videos, your beautiful.

  • very cool thanks for sharing

  • I think you have the nicest outhouse I have ever seen.

  • @cyanleopard Thank you, its fun when its in the dead of winter because we gave the wood stove in there and I have it insulated except where the possible future shower will be and since your not regulating thye stove all the time like in the tent, the thermometer always ends out maxing out at 100 degrees lol lol so you go from 30 below outside and open the door not expecting it and get hit with a 130 degree + temperature change lol Thanks for watching and for the comment.

  • great looking place... how much snow do you guys get in the winter... I close my place right down... three years ago we got 27 feet over the winter and it was just to much to deal with if you don't keep after it...

  • @buffcleb Hi, thanks for watching, 27 feet, thats fricking alot. We average around 8 feet up there yearly, at any one time there will be 3 feet on the ground once winter gets fully going. I only go up there a few times in the winter, I would like to go more but you cross the lake and its fun but you cant walk around without being thigh deep in snow so you end up being "in" the tent alot, there are 16 miles of cross country ski trails, but that gets old after awhile. Thanks for watching.

  • Comment removed

  • You can still access it on Google Earth. haha

  • Best outhouse EVAR

  • Up near the Canadian border eh? lol

    Welcome neighbor!

    OxO

  • @Cloe333 When I am up at the tent, its pretty close as the crow flys. Finding your channel was strange, I was looking at someone elses channel, then went through there subs and saw your thumbnail picture, I knew I hadnt seen you before so I go to your channel page to see who you are, then I watch your videos and you talk about shechef whom I talk to quite alot in comments so I just had to subscribe. Thanks for commenting.

  • @JoeandZachSurvival oh SheChef and Afro are two of my favs on here..."popping & choping"...lol

I'm glad you subbed me...which led me to sub to you and you have some very good videos (watching them now ;)) ...however I'm better at watching videos than I am at making them...hehe...

I really do hope to get better at making videos, so I can share also...

Thanks for sharing...off I go to watch more...lol

    OxO

  • Do you have a problem with rodents and snakes getting inside??

  • @diamondmoney007 Thanks for watching, I dont think I have ever even seen a snake up there, I see them down here at home but I have yet to see one up there. In the beginning the red squirrels would get in once in awhile so if you look at the videos or pictures of the front of the tent above the front door I have a round grate over where they would get in. Now the only thing is mice sometimes, I see the droppings but I always have poison open in the storage cabinet its my gift to them. lol Thanks

  • is this in maine? (im in houlton) and im looking for a nice spot to build a Bunkout cabin in.

  • @MrQuickSandJesus The tent is in way north MN, close to the Canada border. Thank you for watching, I am actually up at the tent right now, it was a rather crisp morning, the thermometer said 23 this morning.

  • Is it the thrill of being off the grid, or are you really expecting the need to be there for survival purposes?

  • @RobertMOdell The fun is in being off grid, being able to do it, experiencing it and being able to self sustain. I am not expecting to be there for survival but if I had to, if something terrible did happen, at least I know I wouldnt have a problem, or as much of a problem I should say as someone who never cared at all about any of that. For me its about learning that you can do the self sustain stuff like solar etc and you can do it yourself. Thank you for the comment.

  • awsome

  • I love it..it look like my old home :)

  • lol bug out of the bug out to the other bug out and so on

  • i enjoyed your video-that coleman hot water appliance caught my eye-I think I will check that out

  • @rrglock40cal That coleman hot water on demand works AWESOME, I have had it I think 4 years now and this spring was the first time I had any trouble with it, it wouldnt turn the heat on, I looked online and it was an easy fix there is a thing that looks like an impellar and when dirt got in there it wasnt spinning correctly and that is what the heater part senses when to turn on the heat. 10 minutes to pop apart, clean and put back and its working flawless now. Thank You for watching.

  • Hi, thanks for the comment, we do have 3 seasons here with no snow, and bringing in food in the winter would not be a problem, easy access crossing the lake. Up there you dont have hardly any people and the deer herd is big along with many other animials, there are lakes everywhere, I can walk or canoe to 6 different lakes right from the one the tent is on without being on land so lots of fish. coopoed up in the snow? you must be a southerner lol at least no will be shooting at me. Thank You

  • How are you going to haul a ton of food up there when TSHTF? In the snow?

    You'll never make it there.

How long can you survive in there? How many months cooped up in the snow?

    Where will you get food?

  • @patriotusa200 You live in California? good luck with that. lol In a shtf or wrol situation, thats the number one state I would not want to be in, all that prepping to prepare for people trying to kill you for what you have stored isnt worth my time, I will take the snow anyday over that. Maybe you live way outside the city, but even then, everyone is going to migrate out of the city thinking they can hunt etc, millions of them. good luck.

Kidding aside I've been forming the opinion that the perfect bug out position may well be in a city as opposed to the woods. I have doubts it will ever come to it, but were something to happen everyone would suddenly turn into a retarded Daniel Boone and screw up the wilderness.

Of course hunkering in the bunker in the city would take a whole lot of camo suited to the endeavor.
