i got one of these survival cans and pulled out the matches. i used a knife to scrape the wax off of a match head and it burst into flames.

From the looks, the snare wire was the only good thing. That's terrible the lid broke, and the tin couldn't even be resealed if it needed to be. Was the pamphlet any good? lol.

At least you have a piece of paper to write a thank you letter to coglans to thank them for your early demise. And insist on a refund when the find your bones :). All the small en me be useful items are dumped lose in the tin. In a stressful, adrenaline pumped situation a overly enthusiastic pull on the lid and your tin is empty and the contents are all over the place. No thank you better to build your one. It is me be a little heavier but you know it is good.

pretty much most items for any survival kit,can be found around the home/garage & at the pound/dollar store and will put most comercial kits to shame but knowlage is the key & you need to feel comfortable in open country . mother nature is not you enemy only your fear.

Very good video.Thanks. I wondered what the contents were like. Most people would agree that if you had a choice between having nothing at all, or having this-- you would certainly take this. BUT, most people with any real camping experience can put together a better SURVIVAL kit for no more money. Altoid tin kits can be fairly inexpensive. They could do away with the matches and use a Sparklite or similar item. Plus, I'd include a small,flat lockback knife and good fishing items, not duct tape

cant really remember how much it cost, and the candy was stale, but im sure the tea and sugar would last a long time if the kit is still sealed. It is a ripoff

the only reason whatever company made that kit, acually made the kit like that is so you can only open it once!
