this restores headlights to a certain point, it does not bring them back from the dead. If it has a film of solid yellow on it and you cant see through it just wetsand them
You dont need that drill/buffer, just use a cotton rag and it will get enough friction. Just try with a white rag and you will see what I mean when you see the rag turn yellow.
I can see the difference when I jump the the playback slider from beginning to end. You can see how much better it looks next to the little round light too. PlastX is fine for slightly damaged lights that are just starting to show oxidation. Just use UV sealant on them regularly.
I just used this stuff again on a car I just bought the lenses were so yellow and hazed it was embarrassing and once I was done they looked almost brand new
@Knhtwolf Yeah I know. There are other people trying to "restore" lenses and charging an arm and leg...worst Ive seen is $99(fucking morons)
I buy this stuff for $5.97 and the bottle is still half full almost a year later. i have done my Porsche Cayenne over 10 times (after I detail it) I do neighbors cars for the hell of it just because its so easy (literally takes me 3 min a headlight by hand with cotton rag.

Polishing plastic is not much different from polishing marble. Sand it in a " CIRCULAR" NOTTTTTT a linear motion with 200 grit then, 400, 800, 1500 and 3000. For plastic you need to buff it with a wax in a "CIRCULAR" motion. Ta Da! Thats it. The point is to get the scratched off so why would you make scratches in the same direction where it's easy to see? Its not uniform! That's what polishing does. It makes a surface have a uniform plain for light to reflects UNIFORMLY to ur eyes. Hope
BS !this crap doesn't work, try it on yellowing headlights, it makes them nice and shiny yellow...it does NOT work, get any kit that uses fine grit sandpaper..
@AlDarko Why be so negative when this product has worked for me and many others granted there are some cases where the damage has gone beyond the point of return but you don't have to be negative
@Knhtwolf because it doesn't work Knhtwolf....you could get the same result with toothpaste or soft scrub at less that a 1/4 of the price of this stuff.....buyer beware.....
all of these kinds of products!!! guess what??? it looks clear now---but what happen when you wash your car again.....?? it gets foggy again... and you have to do all over again!! sucks!!====get MCL its like a clear coat that hardens like a paint---atleast it stays...
@volcom84bait I have used this product on many different items and it has never washed off if you use this product and it seems to have just wahed off you may have not followed one of the steps throughly
I have never used megs plastx but I have done a ton of headlights. I think this stuff works on some lights but on tougher jobs you will have to wetsand from as low as 600 up to 2500 and use a rubbing and polishing compound. Just my opinion! Lights look great man!
@turbovation yes i do agree with you i have seen lights that have needed that type of help but this stuff has helped me out alot glad you liked the video
your headlights are like new , my headlights are much older and this product didnt work. I had to use 3 different wet/sand paper and then use this product for finish touch.
i used this video for wet/sand:
Car Headlight Restoration : Headlight Restoration: 600 Grit Sandpaper
Really worth it to use with a drill or hand ?? Same results ??

What is MCL? From my experience the PlastX improves the appearance but it does not last very long.

is it possible to wipe it out by using a rag instead of using the mechine...
Pete2034 1 year ago
@Pete2034 You can use a rag but be prepared to use alot of elbow grease I can tell you that from my own experience

why not apply it directly to the ball first?
Oh, and just a suggestion, but you should do some audio processing and re-up this. The drill operation is orders of magnitude louder than you...
