  • Excellent video.

  • @Aerozine50 If i do not use my car all year but leave it parked on the road, i need to pay road tax or 'VED', even though my car will produce ZERO emissions. And on country roads, cyclists are very much THE problem, especially when they dangerously drive 2 abreast stopping the motorists from getting past due to bendy roads and no vision.

  • @tel0j Or ride 2 abreast* whatever you call it.

  • @tel0j In response to the 2 abreast argument. Quite simply if the cyclists do ride 2 abreast it makes no difference to say having to overtake a Robin Reliant in terms of relative size. Thus the argument about it being illegal is a moot point. You should be giving plenty of room in the overtake anyway. If that isn't possible then well.....wait till a straight stretch. As for VED and leaving your car on the road well. Most of us do have cars as well as cycling. Thus I pay more than you do.

  • @RocketScientist79 obin reliant can't thin itself out to be smaller, bikers can. Donut.

  • @tel0j A robin reliant*

  • @tel0j but half as wide equates too twice as long in the overtake, or are you one of these numpties who gives half a micron past the cyclists right knee when you go past. Therefore is it any wonder we carry cameras?? Thus I'll stay with the 2 abreast legal situation thanks and we'll agree to differ.

  • @RocketScientist79 And hopefully you will get more drivers threatening you with violence and hitting you in their cars. We hate you, you do know that don't you? Whether you have camera's or not, we still hate your guts.

  • @tel0j Yes we are hated, I agree, but then again so are horses, and others who by default have a right to be on the road. Grow up get a life and chill out before the next cyclist's video happens to be one of you, and doesn't just so happen to go here but rather to the police to help you on your jolly way to the loss of your oh so precious drivers licence.

  • @tel0j awww the poor motorists, maybe they should look where the fuck they're going and only overtake when it's safe to. patience? whats that?

  • @0snakebite I take it you don't cycle on country roads much? We do not want to go 10mph behind 2 bellends chatting about their water bottles. Are you my youtube stalker? Hahah

  • @tel0j Yeah well we don't want to get endlessly cut up and have to compensate for other morons's mistakes that don't look where they're going, but shit happens. See what I did there?

  • @0snakebite And that is why we hate you, because you make things complicated when they do not need to be, for the record i am very aggressive to you people driving 2 abreast on country roads as it is not needed and extremely selfish. That is why i rejoice when i see a cyclist hit by a car.

  • @tel0j I'll take that as a no. What I did there was imitate the attitude you've got, i.e "this group of road users has pissed me off so im going to do something to piss them off". I'm glad you're very aggressive to "us people", for the record no one gives a shit or was even asking that. It just makes you look dumb telling people you rejoice when a cyclist is hit by a car. any of your family ride a bike?

  • @0snakebite Nope, none of my family are mugs who enjoy getting dressed up in ridiculous outfits and a helmet looking like some sort of 'special' person on a day out.

  • @tel0j Don't you realise that not everyone that rides a bike wears certain clothes? I'd define Special as more leaning towards dickheads that comment on youtube videos spouting inane bullshit, then can't justify any of it when challenged, then proceed to claim the other person has been "proven wrong". Yeah get yourself checked mate

  • @0snakebite I did prove you wrong about the 'VED' or road tax as we call it. You have done nothing but try to convince whoever that riding bikes is better than driving which is absurd and everyone knows that is laughable lol

  • @tel0j We as in the short bus? What's laughable is that you are so ignorant your comments aren't even worth a serious response. I don't give a shit whether people think cars are better than bikes or vice versa, that's their choice.

  • @0snakebite The stop banging on about it all the time, it makes you look quite pathetic, is this all you do? Go onto videos like this defending fellow lycra wearers, lol have you seen the video of the motorist in south london punching the panzy cyclist (which most of you to be honest) and the guy going down without even being hit flush? Haha pathetic group of 'men'.

  • @tel0j I wasn't banging on about it so much as taking exception to people posting dumb comments. I just want to know why some drivers have this "holier than thou" attitude and don't want to wait for anything. So far no one has given me a real answer, most can't even string a sentence together. And your argument on that comment seems to be that because a cyclist went down in one punch, all of them would react like that. As if that shit is even relevant to road courtesy.

  • @0snakebite Oh come on, i have had many altercations with cyclists i have never met one i would consider 'normal' they are all stuffy nosed oity toity, a bit dim to be honest without much common sense, it probably explains there attitude to roads, driving through red lights, weaving in abd out of traffic, sitting in the middle of the lane etc..

  • @tel0j 1. Nobody gives a shit what you consider 'normal'

    2. for the millionth time cyclists are not all the same. if you think that you're tthe one who is more than "a bit dim"

  • @0snakebite Well for someone who doesn't give a shit u seem to be replying an awful lot, pandering for my opinions.

  • @tel0j reading comprehension: get some

  • @0snakebite common sense: get some.

  • they were right

  • @labyonnette,

Did you get your PhD from eBay? Was it a BOGOF?

  • @pseudotruth YOU want to be very careful. As a matter of fact I DO have a PhD, Additionally I know who you are, as I live not too far away from you. Mr pseudotruth is well known and well known for being a bit of a dickhead . You are very brave and cowardly with your comments, which is another indicator that you are a simpleton . If you like we can meet up I'll stick your bike pump up your arse. Mind you, you might like that. Dont bother replying Iv'e spammed you, I won't see it

  • @pseudotruth I am sooooo glad Iv'e been able to upset you. You can fester over this all over Xmas., IF you were able to tell me Im a fuckwit face to face Id rip off your head and shit down your neck. NOW FUCK< GROW UP and have a wonderful Xmas, I will xxxx

  • @labyonnette haha unbelievable. here's a hint, go and look up irony.

  • SHES JUST SAYING ANYTHING TO GO ALONG WITH HER IDIOT HUSBOND OR PUNTER OR WHATEVER

  • She should try and do some cycling too lose weight.

  • @juice0935 YOU should show some respect. She is who she is and its not up to you to label her, but, there again YOU are a cyclist so I can expect no better

  • @labyonnette I was only stating the obvious. I like to ride my bike and do own a car.

  • SO WHY DO MOTORISTS HAVE TO PAY THE SAME AS YOU DO BUT PAY FOR A ROAD FUND LICIENCE ON TOP OF THAT. ITS YOU THAT IS IGNORANT BUT ISNT THAT TYPICAL OF CYCLISTS. SELF OPINIONATED, ARROGANT, AGGRESSIVE

  • @labyonnette THERE'S NO NEED TO SHOUT. We can tell that you are a self-opiniated, arrogant, and aggressive Neanderthal just fine with lower case.

  • @xchopp I am actually a PhD, so neanderthal doesnt apply. And I will shout if I wish. If my shouting scares you then this helps substantiate why you are soooo paranoid you need to have a helmet cam. I havnt got one in my car !!!!!!!

  • @labyonnette Very impressive -- but then again, on the Internets everyone has a PhD. The helmet cams are so that haters like you cannot get away with selfish/psychotic behaviour.

  • @labyonnette

    Dr Neanderthal.

Intelligence shines through, as does stupidity.

  • @labyonnette Actually it's you who comes across as opinionated, arrogant and aggressive. I'd see someone about your anger management problem judging by some of your comments........

  • @brianm4242 Yep, you are quite right but Im only angry with you damn cyclists

  • @labyonnette People who write in capitals & call others opinionated, arrogant & aggressive need to take a long hard look at themselves. I know you're probably new to this computer stuff but it's considered rude to do so. Also what is this road fund licence you pay. I drive & i've never heard of it let alone payed it.

  • @zivkovicable

labyonnette's comments are an example of projection. Blaming innocent individuals for his own deficiencies.

  • @pseudotruth Whats this Physcological analysis, which book did you get this out of ?

  • @labyonnette

You claim to have a Ph.D., but from here all I detect is an ill-educated, self-opinionated, bigoted, idiot, who can't spell or comprehend plain English.

A PhD who can't understand how to use the internet to find information? Why do I think your 'PhD' is in your imagination?

Why does every PhD that I've encountered on YT, turn-out to be a liar.

  • @zivkovicable Its called "freedom of speech" and if I want to do so in a raised voice thats my choice. If you consider it arrogant and aggressive then I would suggest you take a close look at yourself. You sir are too sensitive.

  • @labyonnette on3 videos TODAY you have suggested people KILL cyclists, whos aggressive ????????

  • @39stonecyclist Did I say KILL a cyclist. Moron, read properly.

  • @39stonecyclist additionally you cannot take blood from a dead body to save someone else

  • I though road tax is based on emmissions a car produces. I ride a motorbike and i know that motorbikes are still based on engine size and well bicycles wouldnt need to pay and shouldnt considering that its helping reduce a lot of factors such as emissions but they shouldnt have to put up with idiot drivers. ive seen so many cyclists cut up dangerously

  • 4 people are so deluded they think they pay road tax

  • what a surprise, they were fat and ignorant

  • who cares i would of ran your ass over

  • @crwjckss18 and your ass would be in jail

  • I like the way people assume cyclists don't also drive. I cycle and drive, so pay VED/Road tax/whatever else you wish to call it. Regardless, some cars get away without having to pay tax due to low emissions, so why should THEY get a 'say'? This stems from ignorance from many motorists, not helped by the bad attitude and high horse that many cyclists possess.

  • you owe me 1.45 of my life, i will bill you for it PMSL

  • Smash their wing mirrors, off, it works for motorcyclists, It'd probably work for cyclists as well.

  • @Energonorama

    "Go and learn about taxation"

There is no such thing as road tax, there is however Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) which is scalable depending on how much POLUSION a car emits.

That's right fool, VED is a duty on car owners for stinking up the cities and not to pay for roads.

So all you are doing by paying VED is compensating society for ruining the clean air.

It's sort of a fine for your irresponsibility, you see.

Not off you go back to the naughty step for not doing your homework.

  • @ThereIsCake Change the fucking record. You pompous twats give cyclists a bad name.

If you don't understand the reasons for taxing some goods more than others, the ideas behind taxation, progressive, regressive taxes, peoples propensity to pay and economics in general then you can fuck off because I have no time for idiots like yourself with massive wedges missing out of your shoulders spewing bullshit as if you're the only one with a bike. Leave me alone you stupid nob. It's "POLLUTION" thicko

  • Why not publish their registration?

  • @mr4ndrew Yes why not ??? Get it put up my Son :=]

  • My standard answer to 'You don't pay road tax' would be 'I own a car, dipshit'

  • @TimpBizkit I dont own a car but I pay taxes that do pay for the roads. Road Tax was phased out in 1937 and motorised vehicle drivers pay "excise duty", which is set at levels dependent on how polluting your car is.

People like that couple are just retarded idiots.

  • @chriszanf I'm sure you're right. A good part of your income tax will go towards maintaining the roads if you earn a substantial amount. 'Road Tax' is just another 'throw it on the pile' form of money. It is not specifically set aside for maintaining roads like the idiots in the car seem to think....

  • why dont you show us the whole video, as in, show us what you did to provoke that reaction

  • everytime she says no pay no say i want to bash in head in

  • Two things I never understand about people who make these "Road Tax" comments :

    1) Why do they assume that people on bikes don't also have cars?

    2) Don't they know that there are some cars whose owners don't pay VED either illegally or because they are below the emissions threshold? Do they want these cars taken off the roads as well?

  • @TheWonkyTripod one thing, and it's quite easy to understand: they're idiots.

  • Why doesn't she pay a gobshite tax?

  • Living proof of the Dunning-Kruger Effect in action!

There are two types of people:

    a) Those that know

    and

    b) Those that think they know!

Guess which group is more numerous!

    /watch?v=XyOHJa5Vj5Y

  • @Energonorama Hahaha you guys are even better at complaining than American drivers. Would you like some whine with your cheese?

  • @totoroben yes pleaze

  • @Energonorama

..thus you can drive how you like, and cannot be criticised by those getting a "free-ride", seeing as safety and lives are so much less important than chipping in?

  • @Energonorama

    Show that 'Road Tax' exists!

Even when 'Road Tax' existed, it never covered the full cost of the roads. The road network is funded out of general taxation.

Insurance premiums? That's insurance you nitwit. Motor vehicles were responsible for 99% of pedestrian casualties in 2007, pedal cycles were responsible for 1%. You really are hard of thinking aren't you?

MoTs - That's to make sure that idiots like you don't drive unroadworthy vehicles.

  • @pseudotruth

Go and learn about taxation and the reasons behind it because you obviously don't understand like many other Lycra clad, self important, anti-car fools. 99 % of the traffic on roads is vehicular so there's no surprise there. Have you ever bought any petrol? Any idea how much of fuel costs are tax? Why is that? etc.

Tax money collected must be carefully targeted. There is no such thing as 'general taxation'. If you had any brain or scrap of understanding you'd realise why this is.

  • @Energonorama

Please educate us about insurance premiums and what part they play in taxation.

  • @pseudotruth

    Ok:

Currently motorists pay 5% Insurance Premium Tax on their motor insurance (this will rise to 6% next year). As annoying Americans say "you do the math".

  • @Energonorama

Is Insurance Premium Tax due on other non-motoring insurance?

BTW, when was IPT introduced? 1937?

    You do the maths!

  • @pseudotruth Yes, but at different rates.

Do you know what a tax is? Do you know the point of a tax? What makes a tax good or bad? What's a progressive tax and a regressive tax? No you don't do you, you've got no idea.

Go and learn. Think about why baby clothes are tax free etc. Why do high earners pay more income tax? Why isn't there just one big tax that's the same for everyone that pays for everything? huh huh? THINK.

  • @Energonorama

Nice try at changing the subject to VAT and children's clothes and therefore avoiding answering the question.

The higher rate of IPT will apply to an insurance premium relating to certain electrical or mechanical domestic appliances

You are wriggling, but still firmly on the hook.

Now be honest for a change, if you can and admit you were wrong.

  • @pseudotruth It's the same subject you nonce. I think you'll find I answered your stupid question, now try answering mine.

You really have no idea what your talking about or what your point is do you? Like for like a motorist pays hundreds of pounds a year more in tax than a cyclist who pays zero. No pay, no say.

I bet you live under a bridge.

  • @Energonorama

Thanks for proving to everyone here that you're an idiot.

  • @Energonorama jeeez your dumb- watch the video again

  • @mr420B Hey don't fucking mither on, you heard the lady, NO PAY NO SAY! Genius.

  • Comment removed

  • @Energonorama

"Have you ever bought any petrol? Any idea how much of fuel costs are tax? Why is that? etc."

Another car owning retard that thinks people only cycle because they don't own a car.

Ever heard of exercise, I doubt you have, I bet you can hardly drag your fat arse to your car let alone get motivated enough to walk anywhere.

  • @ThereIsCake

No you drivelling sputum, my point is about taxation, in particular the amount levied on motorists.

I am more than capable of walking the few feet from the car to the takeaway thank you very much, I don't need a bicycle for that, although if they delivered on a bike I would accept it BECAUSE IT WOULD SAVE ME SOME FUCKING PETROL.

  • @Energonorama

I hope you menege to keep that temper under control when you drive?

  • Haha. Jeez, I just try and stay out of motorists' way. So many cyclists run red lights and give the rest of us a bad name, that telling motorists to obey the rules of the road just seems like it's inviting trouble.

On the other hand, you are doing effing awesome work here. This needs to be coupled with a campaign encouraging good conduct among cyclists, and then we might really see some change. Did you get his registration? Find out his address from it and post Mr and Mrs Motormouth a link.

  • Complete idiots!

  • What a pair of thick idiots... I'm embarrassed to think that I may share the roads in Manchester with tossers like that.

    Muppets.

  • She utterly sickens my hole and he's a big fat waste of space - uuuurggh

  • That couple look like they ought get out on a bike...

  • charming

  • I wonder if these mouthbreathers will maintain this attitude once they get so fat that they're considered disabled and thus exempt from "road tax" themselves.

  • I'd love to know how these people would respond to seeing this video. Seems to me that they made themselves look pretty damned stupid.

  • Well,we pay so-called Road Tax for 2 vehicles - a car and our camper van. Even so, we cycle more miles than we drive and the camper allows us to spend our retirement cycling in new places cheaply. In fact my 69 yo wife rode about 120km today on an Audax.

So I guess we actually pay more per mile than Mr and Mrs Motormouth. So much for No Pay No Say.

  • Why are there not a couple of questions about VED in the driving test? If anyone is ignorant of how roads are funded, don't allow them to use them.

  • @BeautyandtheBike those older people aren't going to care what's in the current test are they? Then again, who says they've even got a licence?

  • I hope they really enjoy being stuck in traffic

  • 20mph zones are a joke.

The dust bin collectors and buses always go way above this limit. especially since their wheels fit perfectly each side of the speed humps.

  • The way I look at it is this: a 20mph limit might make drivers slow down to 30mph.

  • True

  • you should have reported them for dangerous driving. Unlike a car a bicycle is not required to have a registration plate. So the ball is in your court.

  • How come its up again? 3rd time you've uploaded.

  • First one had a mistake in it, so I deleted. Second was fine but still had a jobysp expletive. This one is cleaner and has more text explanations, and has SFX.

  • And morons like these are allowed to vote ;-)

  • It's worse, they are allowed to breed!
