@The7OmO Virus is not a software vst, if you want that interface, you will actually have to buy a Virus TI.

Just a sawtooth waveform with an LFO routed to the osc pitch, with a fast decay, release, sustain filter envelope and a bit of reverb!

You could do this with any vst, even reasons subtractor!

This tute doesn't even make use of the viruses plethora of features?

Currect me if im wrong but Nuendo 3 only supports VST2 instruments and not VST3. you could probably use the old TI OS, which is VST2. If Virus TI OS3/4 also supports VST2, which you should check before, you are all set.

You got it all wrong. this tutorial shows basic synthesis programming. it doesnt mean I can only synthesize simple sounds like this one.

This question is oftenly asked, and its really up to you if your into hardware or not, but as iluvtrance69 said, -and thats only a small part of the virus functionality, theres a small chance that youll get dissapointed after using it.

I hardly use softsynths because they dont react as good and precisely as the Virus, and you can clearly hear its limitations after a comparison with the Virus, talking about more advanced sounds than in this video.

its a vst, yes, but is a part of the Virus TI so it won't work without the hardware. but as i said, it is possible to recreate this sound with most of the software sythesizers.

Yeah if your looking for basic trance sounds, maybe take a look at Rob Papen's line of Soft Synths. But for a hardware synth, capable of anything if you dive deep enough, look to the TI.
