I have listened to many versions of this most wonderful and moving 2nd movement of Rodrigo's 'Concerto De Aranjuez' Masterpiece and, though I do not know the performer nor orchestra in this particular version here, I urge anyone who loves this piece to find one performed by John Williams whom I believe to be one of a very few to have actually mastered it! Amazing to compare this creation with the many artist/ performers of today who claim to have amazing talent.
From thousands discs I listened to -- blonging to many different cultures (Arabic, French, English, Indian, Persian, Turkish, Russian...) -- this Spanish concierto de Aranjuez is one of my favorites. Thanks a lot.
They play this movie from a 1970's horror movie about some woman and a devil, what was that called again? Someone please tell I must know and I love this music too. ^^
@trigunlover11 Lisa and the Devil (1974) aka "Lisa e il diavolo" - Italy (original title) and aka "The House of Exorcism" - International (English title) (recut version)
one of the greatest compositions the world has ever seen, and prehaps the greatest composition we will ever see. ive listened to many versions of this song. from John Williams to Miles Davis to Hank Marvin. but, i think my favorite version is that of an argentinian guitarist Ernesto Bitetti ,who played almost the exact same thing as John Williams, but something about the way he plays the guitar just makes this already amazing composition just out of this world.
My fathers funeral service was on the 22/12/11 and this beautiful piece was playing as we entered - it was always one of his favourites. A big strong ex paratrooper taken from us way too early aged 66. Breaks my heart every time I listen to this - but just can't stop
im english and live in spain ,started to play guitar ,very basic, anyway the guy over here plays in bars etc and offered to fix a broken string ,so went to his place and i joked that i would give it a week and if i cant learn this in a week i will smash my guitar,he said ,i know this music and played it almost note for note ,i was 4 ft away, didnt know whether to shake his hand or wring his neck i was so jealous ,he was playing for 7 years before he even attempted to learn it
@ThePikaprince : this has been used in the movie "Brassed off", with Ewan McGregor and Tara Fitzgerald. Check out the video of them playing this, it's wonderful.
What a beautiful, marvelous piece of music. I just heard it on CJPX Radio station. I got the title from the website. I'm definitely putting that one on my favorite list...
The Concierto de Aranjuez is a composition for classical guitar and orchestra by the Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo. Written in 1939, it is probably Rodrigo's best-known work, and its success established his reputation as one of the most significant Spanish composers of the twentieth century. The Concierto de Aranjuez was inspired by the gardens at Palacio Real de Aranjuez, the spring resort palace and gardens built by Philip II in the last half of the 16th century (From Wikipedia)

Aranjuez is near Madrid and is full of strawberrys. You can get the fragrance from about 10 Kms. Of course there grow many other fruits. And this fantastic piece is a delight!!! Tengo la fortuna de conocer el encanto de este lugar, y también la fortuna de poder escuchar esta melodía etérea.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Given to france by my great grandparents a tribute to the familes that took france away frm the germasn an Charlmen the group were the first 100 familes that enter France along with Charles the first .The great hall was built around the early 18th century as a thank you gift when Napoleon saw my grear grandfather as he left the french soil due to espana wanting him as a traitor
