  • summer of 09? This sounds l.ike something from 1979. Flying Lizards must be that good

  • @goldensolder44 Yeah, you're a lot closer to the actual release date on this one! I graduated in '82, and was already real familiar with this album by then!

  • perfect draining of any blood from the original has to be praised

  • que mierda de grupo!!!!!

    moriiirooos!!!

  • I called my Congressmen

    and he quote

I'd like to help you, Son,but you're too young to vote....:-)))))))))

  • Not to be listened to on acid. EVER.

  • @countdown247 Why, don't you like to laugh on acid?

  • this is as funny as Blue Cheer version...but the other way

  • This version is awful.

  • @Volkolak lol opinions

  • I remember a BBC radio programme called Star Special from 1980/81 in which Frank Zappa played his favourite tracks...This was one of them...He recommended they cover 'Last Train To Clarkesville' by the Monkees. I think the Lizard's would have made a brilliant version of it.

  • This was one of Frank Zappa's favourite records.

  • Ha I knew it would sound like this after I heard their version of "Money."

  • Maybe i don't undrestand de genere, but this is the worst version of STB i ever heard

  • WTF this shit sucks.

  • Who the hell does this sound like from the 80s? Damn.. my memory sucks. I know the song obviously.. it's a cover. But do they sing another song with that style? I don't remember the name of this. But i know a song with the same style of singing but can't remember it. is this really a 70s band. seems like something recorded off of a chat site of someone goofing around.

  • you are probably thinking of the "Flying Lizards" version of Money which I believe was their only recording that had any real success...

  • Great! What a blast from the past! 1979, second year of college, I was the only person who knew of these guys! They continue to make me smile. Thanks for posting this.

  • Where's my brea!!! in the coffee house with crazy poetry!!!! You beatnicks!!!

  • I went o college with Deborah - we used to shop together - she really spoke like that.

  • Sometimes I wonder what I'm gonna do... but there ain't no cure for the Summertime Blues!

  • The first time I heard this I thought for sure it was Yoko Ono just strange enough to bug my mom lol

  • :) love it

  • Eddie Cochran would be rolling in his grave...

  • I adore Deborah Evans Strickland. She was a real Lady. Just awesome!

  • Put the blues in summertime blues.

  • DADA pop subversion at it's finest.
