@ahmedabuzayed haha heaps cute, i wish i had mine when it was a puppy, the secret is to keep the training sessions SHORT, dont keep them too long and reward them everytime time they do what you told them to do, it takes a while but eventually it becomes the norm and they'll do it sometimes even when you don't ask them like if you have food in your hand they will sit straight away even if you don't ask them. good luck !
@southsky thanks alot ! :D btw i started training bella (my rotty's name) yesterday to sit and she does it every time when i have food but only sometimes when i ask her to do it without foood so yee it kkinda works :P but looks like its going 2 take some time haha btw i should start training her to do anything else or just when she masters sit i should train her to do something else ? thanks again :D
@ahmedabuzayed yea you should teach her a new trick after she's complete one successfully. I taught bubba hand after he knew how to do sit without even me giving him a treat. So take one step at a time.
@19681nick no he doesn't his about 8 months shy from turning 9 and he has no sign of any arthritis or hip problems, it depends on what sort of breeder you got it from, genetics etc.......
@19681nick mine does :( but she has outlived the average lifespan of a normal rott. they live from 8-12 years and mine is 12. and she still has tons of energy. shes always playing with the other dogs
@eatmy1yo Well I trained my Rylond to get me a beer from the fridge, so I gave him the idea. Its just how you give your dog the idea that gets them a naughty mark. Like you said dogs are smart, they'll figure it out eventually.
@mrquackadoodlemoo if this is one of the most well-trained rotts you have ever seen, then you havent seen many! lol he is trained, but you shouldnt have to command more than once, and the dog should never walk away from you when you are commanding it. Still a good dog, but if you are grading on obedience then its only average
I actually read that Rottweilers are supposed to be the 9th smartest dog in the world. I believe that is true because mine has figured out how to flush my toilet and opening and closing doors! None of which I taught him how to perform!
thank you for showing the world that the rotweiler is a firendly happy dog :) its just fuck tards who train them to do wrong or do not look after them who ruin their good name :)
he is such a cute boy :) how did you teach him to act on voice commands my pup only followes my hand gestures for sit, jump, down, spin, shake and hi 5 :(
Im not trying to tell you how to raise your dog, but some advise if i may, a breeder in my area told me its not a good idea to encourage jumping in rotts because theyre knee joints take a beating because of their overall weight and size (even if the dogs just average weight) its apparently part of the breed they arent really jumping or agility dogs, once again im just trying to offer some advise if i may...
Now bubby, trot your tail in the kitchen and make me a western omlet - easy on the cheese, heavy on the polish sausages, hold the chopped bell beppers, and let her rip with the salt and pepper. I'll have the Manhattans ready for the both of us when you get back.
he deserves a treat for all those tricks!
