okay you have to read Fast Food Nation from Schlosser to actually know about the fast food industry and the depht of it to actually understand the problem that is is going around in the world with the obesity crisis and how the food industry is money hungry and have no emotion for those who work extra hard in the meat packing industry and how they take advantage of immigrants who work for less than minimum wage..
Don't want to get fat? Don't eat there. Want more than minimum wage? Don't work there. Want to get paid a decent amount? Quit jumping a fence and trying to cheat your way in. Pretty simple.
movie looks good. the real problem is corporate greed, not necessarily fast food. if mcdonalds could make more money selling us soy and spinach, they would have done it already.
Corporate greed is the problem. McDonalds needs to raise the food quality and pay a living wage. In N Out Burger does both. The difference? In N Out is privately held and has no shareholders to pay a dividend to.
Problem is the foods so cheap. You can go to McDonalds and fill up for $3 as opposed to going to subway and dropping $7-10. What people need to do is start eating at home, saving money and their hearts by eating what they buy at the grocery store.
If they were lucky enough to have cashed in with fast food, good for them. People have a choice whether or not they want to make their own food, or go get a number 5. I try to stay away from fast food but if some1 wants to eat 3 mcdonalds value meals a day, its their mistake and more importantly, their choice.
But it does affect you through higher taxes. McDonalds employees are paid minimum wage, live below the poverty line, and qualify for food stamps and other social services. There go your tax dollars. In N Out Burger pays a living wage, so your taxes don't have to be raised when it is time to pave a street or build a school or hire more cops.
Fast Food chains are the reason why obesity is so high in the country. Gotta get rid of them in order to save the world from money grubbin' corporations.

whether you loved or hated the trailer, you should definitely read this thoroughly researched and unbiased book. fast food has changed drastically; what was once a clean way to produce a dependable, affordable meal has become an error-riddled, profit driven business that exploits its workers and its consumers. the fast food industry has become a giant experiment (largely conducted on children) on the consumption of both marketing and new chemical compounds.

If you're a Vegan, or a Vegetarian, that's fine, just don't try to shove it down my throat. I like vegetables, and I like meat too. "Cook your own food". Yeah, get your meat from BJ's and fry up those worms. You think there's feces in McDonald's meat? Why don't you go make a movie called 2% Milk Nation? That's a bigger problem than fast food.

"The Truth is hard to swallow". That may be true. I don't like biased movies like these. "Millions of illegal immigrants", who are they to say that every Latino or Hispanic worker in McDonald's or any other fast food restaurant is an illegal immigrant? And then that part with the "millions of teenagers" where the kid dropped a patty on the floor. That's why they have supervisors, they'd whap them upside the head and get a fresh patty. I don't appreciate this prejudicial, biased piece of crap.

u should read the book titled fast food nation :P really is a great read, honestly you will never look at fast food the same agian. And to known12, it is believed the reason humans find meat so tasty is because of the fat content, and because cavemen ate alot of fat and meat, it has been passed down in our genes that meat tastes good so that we eat it. So really it primal that meat and fat tastes so good, not because "he made it"

Fast Food is all opinions, the people who eat it don't really care what effects it has on your body, and the people who dont usually are more health cautious. But does it really make any sense to argue about something that is never going to change. This market brings some lucky fellow millions of dollars each year, and I can guarantee if you where that guy you wouldn't mind making an extra million if it ment making the food more artificial.

In fact, I can taste the whip that they beat it with sometimes.. Usually you can just throw some pepper and catchup on there and it's all A-OK.

I was not like that guy in Super Size me, I only ate it because I wanted too and I knew I was not going to get anymore Mcdonalds, or Taco bell again for a whole year. I went on a Bing. I didn't even gain a pound!! WHY? I did something called RUNNING, PUSHUPS, and SITUPS!! MY GOD what can they do for you!!! Also I drank a lot of water!! And yes, I did eat some good food, but I still had some sort of fast food every day before I came to Iraq!!

Tobacco companies, knowing their product is addictive, marketed it agressively and created myths and misinformation to indicate that it was harmless. Fast food and processed food companies, knowing that if they could get people addicted they could make more money, added addictive chemicals to your food. The FDA, American Diabetic Association, etc sit back and allow this to happen for one simple reason ... the fast/processed food industry pays them to.

Reading fast food nation will basically tell you what you already know by using common sense. McDonals employees are paid minimum wage, the fast food industry has adopted "mass production" step techniques in fast food restaurants, and that McDonalds is a rutheless company just like Disney...
