wow nobody's getting the idea of this. sure, you have to put it in for 24 hours prior to use, but after that, you can use it WHENEVER YOU WANT. it's really handy and convenient when you're craving lollies.
@MCVPharmacyStudent Hey but it's for fun. My mom works at a Lakeland shop and got one of these for £1 cause they were piling up. Yeah, you have to wait overnight but if you stop thinking about the disadvantages of the products, it's pretty cool. You can make striped and rocket like lollies. So yeah you can do that with other lolly moulds but still. It's easy to take out, it's quick and fun! You can make up to 3 batches of them in a row. Easier than waiting another 10 hours for a normal one.
this animated video is misleading then - a better idea would have been to film someone making ice pops for real - a genuine experience engages the consumer more than a flash gimmicky video that costs 10 x more
I don't understand the animosity. So what if you have to wait 24 hours before the first use? We bought one for our house, and once it was frozen it worked just as described - my son loves having a quick freeze popcicle as an after school treat on a hot day, and I love having quality control on the ingredients - something you do not get from storebought ready-to-eat frozen treats. The pops come out clean, you put the maker right back in your freezer, and enjoy. Simple and no fuss!
@MCVPharmacyStudent you put it in for 24 hours and then you can make your popsicle. after that you put it back into the freezer. now every time you want to make one you just take it out of the freezer and make some. Also yes i have made three and they do look like they do in the video.
@MCVPharmacyStudent Honestly, are you unable to do anything else while your zoku is in the freezer? Putting the device in the freezer takes all of 5 seconds. It won't cramp your style any more than putting your ice packs in the freezer will cramp your picnic. Would you honestly say that putting ice packs in the freezer increases your picnic prep time by 12 hours???
@violent0heart Well, the length is about right (if I'm really turned on). But it's more banana shaped than oval shaped. Guess I'll have to keep searching.
This may technically be a new 'invention', but it's certainly not a new concept. My Donvier ice cream maker and many others work the same exact way. Freeze overnight to get the liquid inside of the 'device' super cold, then place your ingredients and churn for 3-4 turns every 2-3 minutes for 20 minutes. These people only made a Popsicle version of it. Certainly not worth the price considering the amount you can make in a regular Popsicle Mold.
If you have to freeze the unit for 24 hours before you can make 3 lousy ice pops, then it's totally pointless. I'll just buy the old fashioned plastic thing for cheap and make 6 or 12 pops over night instead.
@neofavorr well you can leave in the freezer when your not using it and when you want one immediately you take it out...But still id rather use those regular plastic molds pour it in then let ready after 12 hours for 6-12 than 3 sticking pops.I applaud you
@neofavorr If you read the directions, you can make 2-3 batches of pops at once (so that's 6-9 pops) and on-line comments say it takes about 2 hrs to refreeze from that. And I think this quick-freeze process would create more of a sorbet texture than the long-ice-crystal texture of popsicles frozen overnight. Finally, getting your knickers in a twist over putting the unit in the freezer 24 hrs in advance is like getting upset over putting ice packs in the cooler the night before the picnic.
@screwattackg1: I know, but you can make more than one batch of ice pops, whereas you can only make 1 batch the normal way (which also requires 24 hours as well) so u still are saving time
@baboonass that's my point.

@lindsay01239 The instructions say to avoid carbonated drinks. You need to let them go flat before using them.

Look, all I care about is this - If I insert my penis in it will it freeze solid in 7 minutes?
spiegel 8 months ago
@spiegel only if your penis is about 2 inches long and extremely oval shaped.

@neofavorr You can actually make 9 pops. And the idea is you keep the base in the freezer so when you have a craving for a pop you are good to go.

You forget to mention it has to go in the freeze for 24 HOURS per use. Completely destroying the purpose of what you set it out to be.
£40 for this? F that
