you make it look painfully easy to fly. Couple grand worth of hardware there? I'd like one but would have to buy stock in Rolaids for fear of crashing.
@worracsk8er It can as high as you want. If you could see it you could fly it out of radio range. The only limitations are radio range and visual range of the pilot.
I have seen one person get hit by a 50 size heli rotor...it bruised his arm pretty badly but thats it. They are designed to pivot at the head to prevent major damage, but if you crash one there is not much left. The Centrifugal force keeps them straight at speed.
In my back yard, yes, a lot of trees, but this was a test flight and since the probablity for a crash was high, I filmed it. The videos of it flying normally are in my other videos.
thank you for the info! i know what you mean about alot of time. any thing worth havin is worth working for. hopefully someday ill get there and i know ill be charged about it.
i think that was a great test flight that showed great control!!! i only aspire to be that good. currently i am trying to fly electric r/c helis but, some day would like to fly one of these. how much does this heli cost..???
Thank you, but this was just a test flight to check the trims and that I got everything together correctly and to make sure everything would stay together. I would rather a linkage break loose at 1' altitude than 30' To get one like this will cost you both time and money. Look in the neighborhood of 1,000.00 minimum for a 30 size scale bird and other things like retracts, lights, servo speed reducers, scale accessories will just be extra, as well as a LOT of your time.
i think that was great control, which is very hard and requires alot of attention! i am just starting out at rc helicopters and i find them very hard to fly, even the simple ones. can i ask you how much does one of these cost, and where would you get one?? i have lots of other heli questions but i'll save those for later! thank you in advance for your hopeful response! taz!
Hey jerkoff What part of the phrase "test flight" did you not understand? Do you see the fence and all the trees? You want to see it fly look at my other vids when I'm at a field
nice :D i saw u 1st video and it was really beautifoul with lights.- u shall fly it in night and turn light on belive me it looks amazing. bwt when u fly at night try not to crash it :D and put it on youtube.
Its always the dumb rednecks that cant read descriptions that get mad and leave stupid remarks like that. Ok Fagfan...since reading is probably not your strong suit, and since you got soooo mad by me wasting your precious time that you could have been using to watch a rerun of Airwolf, click my other videos, maybe that will cheer you up, but I doubt it.
Most of the fuselage kits out are a "universal" fit, ie. if you get a 50 size bell 222 for your 50 size Caliber 5 it should work...most of the time. Sometimes slight modifications are needed to fit, and some mechanics will just not fit with some fuselages. Most fuselage companies have a fitting chart avaliable for the kits they sell.
Lovely model and nice to see a 222 that isn't airwolf! I admit I did an airwolf some years ago. Nice flying too, not just the "half compitent" tail in hover!
Where did you get the body?

it's a good thing that;s a toy, if that was the real thing you was in trouble moving around like that. but you could handle it well.

Now what is the flight time on a Helicopter like this one?
DKoppJr 1 year ago
@DKoppJr Depends on the tank and engine size. Most nitro choppers can fly around 7-8 minutes in idle-up mode. Maybe a little longer in normal mode.
