  • I am not understand why they're rejected help from US. That was the most stupid thing to do

  • As abslolute hellish as anything I've EVER seen. I just may have a bad rest of the day !!!

  • Yeah yeah yeah, Enough American propaganda here. In a country full of Japanese, so there should be American's rescuing Japanese. What were you thinking in 1945 then?

  • the pilots did a good job considering the circumstance

  • dear god they died after the crash.

  • Comment removed

  • 3:57-4:01 made me cry......God bless them!!

  • Poor rescue proceedures were a major cause of higher aviation fatalities pre-1990's. Always expect survivors.

  • Kyu Sakamoto Died... T_T

  • spent the night?????? Seriously, is Japan that retarded???? God damn it, i would sue the fuck out of it!!

  • Why were they ordered to return to base? America planned this shit. -.-

  • WTF? The rescue team spent the night in a village? Even if you can't spot any survivals from high in the air, or land safely, a rescue team on foot and automobile should not rest in a village for the night. Deplorable and disgusting.

  • Check out the idiot at 8;45 squishing the girl in the primitive harness.

  • had they survived I dont see the pilots ever flying again after that experience. I dont want to fly ever again. I remember how I get butterflys if the plane banks even a little. the thought of the horror ride these guys went thru.

  • @glennjridge Yes it is true horror. You wait long before you die. But it is way safer to travel by plane than any other form of transport. Maybe the metrostation is safer, but that would be about it. It is more likely to be eaten by a shark or hit by lightning. Don't be afraid the fly ;). It is like being afraid of dogs.

  • How did people survive this crash. That was a miracle. God caused this crash! but he kept some survivors

  • @ipodinfo1234 God did not cause this crash, bad maintince or some other thing did this. The Japan govenement's rescue services killed more of the survivors.

  • ???????

  • they should not be called rescuers, they should be called grave collectors FAIL

  • @dharmdevil Not funny since 520 people.

  • so sad. god bless all of them.

  • Why would the american commander call back the chopper?!

  • @buzzzatho They had to want on orders. Americans wanted to help and offer to send out Japan rescuers because they literally 20 minutes away fro crash site however Japan government said no.

  • Th pilots were doing their best to save live. so sad! RIP.

  • they would have saved more people if hadent taken a break for the night!!!!

  • so sad

  • Crappy Plane, Crappy Engineers, Dumb Rescuers, Greedy Boeing...

RIP to the victims... NO ONE IS PERFECT.

  • @Francozilla Greedy Boeing? Boeing admitted their fault. But it really came down to the Boeing Techs that did the job. They did not follow guidelines that Boeing had laid out. Boeing even said that a pressure dome repaired in that manner would only last roughly 10,000 pressurizations. And sure enough tail number JA8119 was on its 12,318th departure. JAL technicians get to oversee repairs done by Boeing, its not as if JALs maintenance facility is in the clear.

  • @Francozilla Keep in mind, none of this would have happend if JAL didn't bang up the plane to begin with. They tail striked it hard on a bad landing. Nowadays repairs aren't done. Usually the whole dome is shipped from Boeing via AN-124 or AN-225 and swapped out. Its very costly and depending on the age of an aircraft usually ends up writing it off. Yes I admit the technicians and rescuers didn't do an awesome job, but what the hell does crappy plane and greedy Boeing mean?

  • @Francozilla Unless you're completely dim and believe the 747 series are crappy planes.

  • What's the point of sending rescuers if they're just going to take their time because they don't expect survivors...

  • RIP

  • 3:58 so sad!!!

  • The bald guy is creepy.

  • The flight crew of JAL 123 did an incredible job keeping that 747 in the air as long as they did. The rescue operation was horrifically bungled, and the government of Japan (rightfully) got a lot of heat from the public for that.

  • so sad :-( May GOD BLESS THEM AND R.I.P :-((

  • why the US military was ask to returned to base was is it because of Japan Government ask them to?IF they were not ask to return there could be a chance of more survivors!

  • @blesyl67 Americans offer to help and even offer to send japan rescuers to crash site however Japan government said no. The Americans had do want the Japan Government tells them. It was a bad decision by the japan government.

  • 8:46 japanese doggy

  • Wow they took 14 hours for rescue! Miracle for the few that survived and bless them. I couldnt imagine if the rescue was conducted immediately and wo discounting all of them DOA! That is one garbage rescue what a shame work on this please tyvm!

  • @fourtycents It should have been 14 minutes because US marines were there in the c-130 just itching to help but Japan government said no.

  • Holy shit.

  • It's because fire departments and police officers ARE HOPELESS IN ASIA. It's a fact.

  • @SnowLeopardStudioz Its not like that usually you know! this was ages ago so that doesn't mean that it is now!

  • @SnowLeopardStudioz (I am not being hateful in any way just telling the truth don't take it seriously)

  • no rescue team was sent until 14 hours later...this is inhuman and no respect at all towards the innocent victims of this disaster.

  • This has to be the worst part of all about this ... how many people laid there all night, injured and dying, because the rescuers figured nobody was alive anyway, so why bother making the effort ...

One can only hope karma comes home to roost for those idiots.

  • Assumption is the mother of all fuckups. Don't assume everyone is dead - and camp out for the night WTF LOL

  • If four people could've survived.. Then ALOT more could have to >_< Lazy Japanese -.- .... wow i thought that was supposed to be americans xD... JAL123...4 people survived .. it seems like flights tht has patterns crash alot

  • So I understood that if the rescue team get there earlier they might find some survivors?

  • Japanese is land of superman!

No one should survive from that crash but this time there's so many people survived.. So sad that they've get rescued ...

    RIP.

  • WTF! They just rest for the rest of the night instead of finding survivors? Shame on them! Lives are wasted cause of them!

  • @SGDIronlord even though it's partly their fault but u have to understand the fact that NO ONE would have expect to find a survivor in this kind of crash

it is partly their fault, but NOT totally their fault

in fact, this is human nature

u may not notice that YOU yourself are like that

    but in fact, everyone are

  • Japan = Greed.

  • This is why I would never want to be a mountain. Too much man made stuff zooming around the atmosphere.

  • why are the idiot pilots speaking english?

  • Comment removed

  • @pbrick6301 soo tell me why are the idiots

  • @noz68camaro sorry i am just mad about this. too many people are dead.

  • @pbrick6301 Probley translation.

  • no signs of life? It's hard to seem alive in a dark forest when you're half dead & covered with debris c'mon now.......

  • To be honest i reckon if the Marine helicopter would of went to the crash site like they did a few minutes after the crash there would of been more suvivors. Its a sickening thought that passengers survived the impact but died on the crash site due to lack if aid.

  • I am asian

and i am so mad that they did not help right away

  • this so upsetting. Never assume anything. very sad:(

After Surviving an Airplane crash you die because your country refused help. DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!

  • CRAP !!!

  • If the rescue efforts were accepted, not only would the problem that caused this plane be fixed, but there wouldn't have been as much preventable deaths. Sad.

  • one thing is for sure...never crash in Japan...might have found more people alive if they would have let the Americans come in and help

  • one thing is for sure...never crash in Japan

  • Comment removed

  • The rescue operation is the biggest fail here

  • Rivalry causes confusion when it comes to victims lives?????? FFS what is wrong with human kind????

  • they arrived 14 hours after the crash...it should've been 14 minutes :(:(

  • @garetyy they should have allowed the American shopper to assist =(

  • @garetyy From what I understand the area was too remote for a ground advance of the emergency peronnel and the weather conditions and visibility were too adverse for helicopters. Four survivors lasted the night

  • Smooth crash!

  • .they can use helicopter for rescue if they cannot climb at night..if the helicopter cannot land just use the rope idiots!..how can u expect a sign of survivor while flying on the top of the smoke..and of course with the severe injury U cannot expect people to run after the helicopter and shouts like a monkey in the dark moron!!...how sad to hear the silly conversation..sorry for my words but I really can't take this ...

  • How can they expect no one alive.the flight captain did his job fight the death in front of him till the end but the rescue team simply make that assumption.they even built tent to spend the night in that emergency situation..I've known Japanese with their hardworking and punctual attitude but this is just really frustrated to believe..

  • In spite of the late rescue attempts, I really don't think more than 15 people would have survived this crash. Look at how devastating it is. 100 Gs of force in the front. The fuselage is disintegrated almost entirely. It pains me to imagine what the remains of those people would have looked like if the bodies from the BACK were THAT badly charred.

It's a miracle that 4 people made it out alive. Look at how badly burned the girl's face is and she was seated in the extreme back of the plane.

  • @Zenigundam You don't know that sure though.

  • 40 hours are a little bit to late

  • @Mr77os1

    14 hours not 40

  • @halo10001 aha :)

  • helicopter captain is a coward puto.....i feel for the japanese families

  • @MrMexicanmango

Why was he a coward? They did they best they could.

  • If Japan was the land which was flat like U.S.A.; ...

  • Just hope that rescue procedures has improved since then ...

  • Excuse my language, but this is fucked up!!

  • all wrong D:<

the C130 sounds like it has radial engines

and the controller at an ab is a marine

  • what the fuck is that stupid music in the background as the plane crashed?

  • @mattxr2i that is a very good idea, an electronic control system for the ailerons, rudder, and elevators. They have an electronic system to deploy the landing gear, so why not deploy a more powerful system to control the plane. This would have greatly improved there chances of surviving.

  • i hope the rescuers who decided to be pigs and sleep at the village just cus they ''did'nt expect'' to find survivors get involved in an accident too hopefully their kept alive and their recuers also decide to sleep precious rescue time away so they can suffer on the brink of death themselves and c what its like

  • yeah the rescue was lazy, but cmon it's a friggin mountain in the wildnerness, not exactly the easiest place to rescue! :P so sad

  • @nodevoutt The US marines was at the crash site though that the killing part about it. They even guided people to crash site.

  • rescue was abismal

  • Those rescue people were douches

  • 2:04 This guy acted on the 'Bomb on board' episode too!

  • There has got to be some way to auxerillery control systems in these planes. Perhaps a motor assisted cable system or a back up hydraulic that is routed a different way?

  • I have never seen a more powerful crash then this. It makes me so mad and so sad to see it. Especially at the end, when the old couple looked at each other and knew they would die :( R.I.P.

  • man they dont care about there own people they just let them die ! thats real fucking nice of you japan you dicks

  • Oh man, R.I.P to all the people and everything on flight 123 :(

  • "Hey fellas, there's probably nobody alive, let's bed down for the night. Anyone got any sushi?"

    What a bunch of douchebags.

  • They just had to put those two elderly people touching hands in the last moments of their lives. It made me cry :'(

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOM 4:06.

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOM 4:06

  • 4:06 BOOOOOM!

  • RKO

  • 14 hours? I cannot believe it took that long. This tradegy was caused not only by an ignorant mechanic but by these bastards themselves. RIP 123.

  • may their souls R.I.P

  • WHAT? Spent the night in the village??????

  • @loransol Well, they didn't know people were still alive, but the were IDIOTS for assuming everyone was dead.

  • 6:40 WTF!!!!!!!!!!

  • biggest kamikaze ever!

  • @specnaz1977 You're a cunt.

  • @Sandler41882

That must be a prick statement

  • these gays assholes spent the night in the village just so they can touch each others ass !! faggets do gay!!

  • wow that miniature model of the jal 747 acted like the actual plane did

  • Sb9889 u r right Japanese did well to find any1 in the first place and don't forget pol this was a while ago less technology

  • ugh... as a japanese person myself, this makes me sick... dont take this rescue delay shit as a 'japanese' characteristic, as it most certainly is not, which makes me wonder why the fuck it even happened. shame on us, we are better than that!

  • @sb9889 I read there were 92 medical isotope(医療用イソトープ) and also depleted uranium (劣化ウラン)used as ballast at that time on Boeing. Maybe that was one reason?? I don't know...I have also read it could have been military act and they wanted to hide something. I don't know if it is credible.... Note: Captain Takahama was highly regarded ex Japanese military captain. R.I.P.

  • Comment removed

  • @sb9889 i completely agree ive been in japan for a few months

and if theirs one thing the japanese are not it is lazy....everyone is hardworking and very kind and polite :D

  • @sb9889 yes.. you're better than that! you're kamikazes for fuck sake!

  • @sb9889 You're right. But consider that this isn't a matter of nationality or culture. This is a matter of authority. Who's gonna be in control of the rescue teams? Who will coordinate them and help avoid more accidents due to chaotic operations? And finally, this is an american made plane. The reputation of Boeing, the troubles with responsibilities and so forth is imminent. The FAA would never allow Japanese marines to assist in a rescue operation on US territory! Japanese are great people.

  • @MillyVanillification maybe or maybe not. In this case Japanese Government should have let the Americans help. The Americans was at the crash site with the marines just itching help. The Americans even guided Japanese rescuers to the scene. 14 HOURS RESCUE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BY ANY COUNTRY INCLUDING AMERICA.

  • @sweetheart2109 katrina

  • @sb9889 stupidity is a universal trait. hopefully a mistake that will never be repeated.

  • @sb9889 Its a shame, but imo karma for the way japanese treat there animals...really really bad

  • @luvpump1

You're possibly the most retarded person I have ever met, seriously, you will burn in hell forever for your ignorance. I don't even need to explain why your comment is so rude, hateful, and ignorant, go throw yourself in a fire please.

  • @sb9889 nah dont worry Japan stuff is always good

  • @sb9889 don't worry. I'm an American. Now that is shameful.

  • @girlofgaga63 Gtfo then.

  • @sb9889 I was horrified ... yeah, let's spend the night in the nearby town, the crash victims can wait ... that is just awful. You have to wonder how many people might have lived if they'd moved their butts to get there ASAP. I seriously hope they felt like crap afterwards.

  • @sb9889 The Problem is the same low life samurai ojisan you always put into office, too much pride my boy!!

i live in tokyo, i know what is going on here, maybe you can tell that to the one who never been in Japan.

  • @sb9889 i can see why youre angered by this, although this most likely has nothing to do with the japanese themselves and is probably just that one japanese persons desicions, not something that all japanese do

  • Japanese deserved being nuked in WWII , they prefer "REST" over saving lives

  • the old couple was so calm!

  • May GOD bless them all and rest in peace!!!!

  • ok WTF Dammit why did the wait to go WTF, WTF WTF WTF if they got there sooner they may could have saved more people.

  • WTF?? Rivalries between rescuers??? go to hell with that.. people were dying!!!!

  • @m4siTa Perhaps it mattered to the survivors by which person they were rescued? Somehow i don't think this would have been the case

  • Does someone recognize the piece of music played around the 7th and 8th minute of this video?

Someone that has access to the credits at the end of the episode, would probably see it listed there....

    THANXXXX!!

  • I agree BayviewFinch. Didn't mean to cast racism to the Japanese but I think the Japanese officials themselves are the racists. The Americans were already there to rescue the survivors but no they want their own JSDF instead to do the job only because of a rivalry nonsense crap! How selfish of them and that's what I don't like if your loyalty to your own country is too much!! Are they just proving themselves that they're far greater than the Americans? I hope this nonsense doesn't happen again!

  • It was so sad when the radar signal just disappears.

    Please thumbs up.

  • That stubborness is disturbing.

  • @loransol I am as tempted as you to blame the rescue teams, but the orders came from upper management. They're the ones who slept both nights

  • Michael Brown probably ran this rescue operation

  • for the record...next time I take a flight Im gonna sit in the back...

  • And plus, it was at night!

  • Easy for you racist idiots to blame the rescuers. The plane crashed into a mountain.

Why would you expect someone to try to go out there when the mountain is at, like, a 45 degree angle?!?!?

  • Comment removed

  • @legozombie4000 - Why WOULDN'T you expect people to go out there and save lives? The potential American rescuers were told to go back. The self-defence force got there eventually. They could've gone right away instead of slept. How could you even sleep in that kind of situation anyway?

  • @BayviewFinch Seriously!!?!? Why would I risk my life trying to land a heli on a freakin' steep mountain at night!!?!?

  • @legozombie4000 - The helicopters were on their way before dusk. The Japanese authorities did not allow the American potential rescuers to do what they WANTED to do. Nobody's asking you to risk your life.

  • @BayviewFinch Yeah but how was the JSD team supposed to get there during the night? And the mountain, as I said in my previous post, is really steep.

  • @legozombie4000 - I don't know why you're defending such a crappy rescue effort.

  • @BayviewFinch Dude, why are you defending such racism towards a rescue effort that already happened a long time ago?

  • @legozombie4000 - So, what you're saying is that if I was ever in trouble, first you wouldn't help, then second you'd call me racist. What the hell is wrong with you?

  • @BayviewFinch No, what's your problem? I'm just saying that you shouldn't be mocking the Japanese rescuers. We all know they were 14 hours late, but you shouldn't just come forth and start shooting your mouth off at them. And yes i would rescue you.

  • @BayviewFinch I've got one word for you: Catrina

  • wtf... why do they ordered the americans back?

  • Disgraceful that they didn't accept US help.

  • yeah i know why the fuck did they camp while people were dying in pain and schok retards

  • A good research

  • So thankful to be an American where we have pilots like Captain Sullenberger and real rescue workers like the FDNY and many others who would never sleep while people needed help.
