  • Thank you so very much for all the nice comments! Pal is a doll baby to handle. I need to put up new video...Pal is 9 years old now and at least 100 pounds heavier than in these videos. If any of you visit the Austin, TX area, send me a message. You are welcome to come meet him or one of his Drum or Shire sons!

  • What a handsome mover! And such a gentleman. I would love to have a draft horse some day but I'm only 5' so my warmblood is like a draft to me lol. His babies must be awesome!

  • He's stunning! Beautiful action why do people always think shires are ploddy look how light this amazing lad is on his feet! I have a shire cross and he's like a rocket lol.

  • what a beautiful horse:O one day i'll ride a shire too, they're such a beautiful breed i really wonder what it's like nd i'm so excited to have a ride one day, must be awesome for you to handle this breed of horses! :)

  • Beautiful horse!!

  • Aww, beautiful horse <3

  • Oh my gosh that he is such a beautiful horse! Thanks for sharing :)

  • that is a beautiful animal

  • nice stallion. :)

  • Billishot just shut your fingers up, your horse knowledge is comparable with my suky english; but at least I'm smart enough to not to go around running my mouth about.

  • Because he's an amazing producer with an incredible amount of athleticism, fantastic presence, intelligence, and character.

Oh, wait, you just asked for one reason. I'll go with he's the 2005 National halter Champion of his breed.

  • @avalonshires - A shire showing in halter... now that's a new one.

  • @Billishotheismine oh shut up english is not bad and i ride western geez grow up

  • @Billishotheismine hes not that bad and whats wrong with english?

  • WOW! That is one of the most beautiful horses i've EVER seen. :O

  • not against him, but i know all shires can have diff colors unlike the clydesdales, but arent shires atleast suppose to have four white legs?? nice horse

  • Thanks so much!

You can't breed for 4 whites-- the sabino gene is too complicated to predict that result 100%. It's nice when they come out that way, but it just doesn't always happen ;)

Paladin is a National halter Champion...Luckily, you don't get penalized in the Shire world for having a black leg (Budweiser has made 4 whites on Clydes so popular that you actually may get "dinged" in the show ring if your Clyde has a dark leg or two).

  • nice horse!! how big is he?

  • Thank you! Pal stands about 17.3hh.

  • omg! he almost looks like my old shire/clydesdale cross!! i love draft horses!! they're so much fun to ride- there canters are awesome!!!

  • Thank you! :)

  • your stallion reminds me of a very large puppy for some reason! Super handsome boy!

  • I wish you could meet him...he is JUST like a big puppy in personality! Thank you so much!

  • Wow I bet the girth you use for him is really long xD He's a beautiful boy. No doubt making beautiful foals as well

  • Thank you kindly! One of my favorites is his son Avalon's Legacy ("Ace") who stands 18.1 as a 2 year old (no, really!) Ace's dam is River Forks Lucinda.

  • @avalonshires Amazing! Guess I was right ;3

  • i always thought shires were hard to ride because they are Huge!!!!

    This One is beautiful!!

  • Thank you! He's not hard to ride at all, he's got a very soft mouth & is very sensitive to his rider's cues.

  • @bellasarafan the goood thing about big horses is they tend to be very smooth or at least the perchagon trail horses i ride are

  • @bellasarafan Horses are like surfboards, the bigger the horse the smoother the ride LOL

  • WOW ! Power Horse ! :-)

  • Thanks so much!!

  • AMAZING horse! Beautiful! 5/5

  • Thanks so much!

  • Thank you! No, not bouncy at all. Any good draft horse has a nice big rolling canter that's actually very easy to ride!
