I hope people know that this is a doujinshi, as in it's fanmade. It's not rare in anyway, it's on pixiv for everyone with an account to see. I looked through it, and even though it's fanmade, I can accept it as an ending. Zero can still be alive, just think about it. How many times has he died and come back? He's the new poster boy for the Megaman Franchise, even if they did get rid of him story-wise, I doubt this will be the last we see and hear of him. As fans, we should be content with that.

@mapleseallux No, it's at least a hundred-year gap, with a second Maverick War, the formation of the Guardians, and the creation of Legion etc. The reason Ciel was still alive before the first ZX game was because of cybernetic implants, and the reason Alouette/Prarie looks so young, is because she's a Reploid, so she probably changed her body to look older, like Andrew did.

@mapleseallux I've played it multiple times actually. You forget though that Reploids don't age like humans, at least the ones in the Zero series. They have to have themselves modified to look older, like Andrew did. The game even brings up that Zero 4 was around 100 to 200 years before ZX.

Also, just take a look at the art style. Zero and Ciel are nowhere close to their manga representations in this piece. They are based more on their representations from the game. Have you read the manga? Ciel is an outright bitch in the manga and cares little for Zero's well-being.

I reread what's been scanlated by tanjou and the manga skips 100 years from Rockman Zero defeating the shitennou (who fuse together to become Copy X technically but he's not called Copy X.) and Ciel burying the hatchet with Cial to Lito making a new Rockman Zero (who is a total idiot btw) fighting Omega (who is also a total idiot) to find the Dark Elf (yes, Weil is involved.)

Megaman Zero Official Complete Works states that Zero's status is unknown meaning this manga cannot be canon otherwise his status would be alive. Zero's status is most likely unknown in case Capcom wants to bring him back for another game, but I think it was the creator's intention (forgot his name) to end Zero's storyline with MMZ4. While it is sad that Zero is supposedly dead, at least he died a hero and its a worthy ending to one of my favorite video game characters from my childhood.

Unfortunately i do not think this ending is canon or even official and I'll explain why.

First of all I have searched every wiki site and mega man site I could think of and the only official manga of megaman zero listed is more like a parody and hardly even follows the game's storyline, not to mention Elipizo isn't even in it. This leads me to believe that this is a Doujin/ fanart which would explain why it's hard to find.

Contrary to what some believe Zero could have indeed survived. Looking back on the X series how many times did Zero *die* really? I think in Megaman X 1-6 he died every game unsure though never beaten past 4 but anyway and look closly there is a chance that Giro is Zero well at least hair and soul. Maybe Zero's soul was put into the Model Z thing it was never told how those were made and honestly look at the models. Each model was based off reploids.

Canonically, Zero "dies" twice before MMZ. First in MMX1, but there were enough pieces to put him back together which you find in MMX2. Zero survives MMX3. In MMX5 he dies but most of his upper torso is intact, though how he was resurrected is unclear. In MMZ4 he falls through the atmosphere and most of his body was most likely incinerated. While there probably were fragments of his mind/program which led to the biometals it probably was not enough to fully restore Zero.
