I like the property, you guys did a good job, and I'm glad the house sold in just 2 days, especially with the current state of the economy. But you can't always trust these idiots to finish a job for you, especially if they are gonna cost you 15 grand.
@CptCool2 Agreed. But the toughest part of working with new contractors is that it can be hard to tell up front if they're idiots or not. In this case, Steve came across very well when we interviewed him. Perhaps I'm not as good a judge of character as I originally thought....
i love your shows, I'm about to get into real estate myself i just wanted to ask for someone starting out is it better to in vest or to wholesale right now? i see the both taken classes in both. wholesale seems safer but in today market would i be leaving money on the table going that route?
@jdtaylor1977 Thanks! Regarding the fix-and-flip vs. wholesale debate, I'd advise you to try your hand at wholesaling first--even if it's just for a short while. The risk is much lower and the necessary bankroll much smaller. That being said, John and I didn't follow this advice, but I think it would have benefited us greatly if we had.
