Can I ask you something? I have completed a bachelor of business studies with a double major in finance and economics. My goal is to work as a financial analyst but i don't know how to get into the field because they all require extensive job experience. I know that I have to start with an entry level job. But how best to go about it. I wonder if you have some advice for someone like me?
@TakashiNippon A lot of companies have FMP - Financial Management Programs that last for 2 years where they rotate you around the finance department and jobs with-in the company. Some big ones are Disney,GE,NBCuniversal... Best buy has one, boeing...just do a search. Its great experience to become a financial analyst and some jobs hire entry level analyst.
Im interested in becoming a financial analyst but Ive read some mixed opinions about this career. Some say that working as a financial analyst is a thankless job where taking vacations is frowned upon where you are required to work 12-15 hours a day and that you should expect to lose your job a few times because it is unstable. Can anybody out there who is actually a financial analyst give me better insight into what its like working in this industry?
