Amazing video. I am in love with the city of New Orleans. I will be moving there in Jan. But one of the biggest misconceptions about hurricane Katrina is that it actually hit New Orleans, which is not the case. It moved east back into the Gulf, it was the storm surge from the Gulf that devasated New Orleans.
This is a great video and most appropriate song. I was a relief worker that came in to help after Katrina and stayed through Rita until the end of 2005. It is hard for people that weren't there to imagine what Louisiana looked like after these terrible storms. I still have nightmares about what I encountered. Thank goodness for photos and videos like this to document the damage and suffering that occured. Thanks so much for the video!!!
Nice video..... it was nice when i posted almost the exact same video 5 years ago only weeks after the storm hit. A few of the pictures in your video were taken BY ME. same music some same pics with a few more added. im not trying to be a dick im just irritated that my video only got a few thousand hits. good work none the less. by the way im a soldier and i was doing search and rescue the day after the waters receaded. not pretty
.....BLACK PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE !!! Just look at the looting and rioting from L.A. to Haiti...every time the Black Man is confronted with a challenge, all they seem to do is expect others to save them or simply STEAL what they want from others !? No wonder nearly all hard working white people consider them to be ignorant undesirables, with a racial commitment to CRIME

10 000 000 000 (10 billion people) х50 000 conventional units (half the cost of a standard 60 m flat) = 500 000 000 000 000 (500 trillion units) for crediting of habitation in turn,on the measure of distribution of identifiers.Always construction.
this was a GREAT video...just one problem...why was the flordia keys in bigger letters than mississippi, alabama, or new orleans? they are all important & we all know new orleans was hit the worst and we all prayed the most for them...but anyways, this video was great and i hope that many ppl respect that this video is a tribute
great video, actually the one video on this site i've seen that emotionally touch me. probably because half of those pictures, i saw the places and areas with my own eyes throughout my life.
i worked on lake ponchatrain and evacuated. my grandparents who live in metairie, did not. they were fortunate to survive however it brings tears to my eyes for the ones who didn't.
Great video. Brings back memories. I was there helping, only wish I could have done more. The aniversary is nearing and hurricane season is upon us. Hopefully we all have learned from this and it will never happen again to this extent.
I moved here after katrina, to lake charles, and let alot of ppl. stay w/me and my son.let me tell you i would do it agin just to help anyone who needs help after something like that.Your vid was very good thanks alot. CINDY-LAKE CHARLES,LA.

i thought this vid rly showed that we did help
imagine coming back and seeing your house that carries a box with special things in it or a special toy or a phone ripped off by weather
dont underestimate how powerful it is
we just have to face it together though
