  • Aww, I'm so sad I missed this contest while I was out of the country. So nice of you to do this for your subscribers!!! Happy Holidays! Xx

  • Thanks for the contest Jen! My holiday traditions have become much, much simpler in the last few years. My husband and I got tired of everything being so commercial, so our new tradition is to try to wind down & take care of ourselves this time of the year. Try not to let everything get so hectic that we forget what's really important. I hope you get a chance to do the same! :D

  • A few days before Christmas my husband and I host a mulled wine party for our neighbours. Between 12 and 15 couples attend and we eat christmas cookies and mince pies and drink copious amounts of mulled wine while exchanging small token presents. It's a lot of fun and certainly one of my favourite holiday traditions.

  • My holiday tradition is with my best friend (who's name is also Jen, hahaha) Anyways, every year I go to her house and we make Christmas cookies while listening to Christmas music. It may not be the most original but we always have fun doing it. Also, we make letters to Santa, even though were in high school we still do! We love acting like little kids around the holidays since we are both our parents youngest kids (even though were 14 and 15) Merry Christmas (:

  • My favorite family tradition is trimming the tree and mantelpiece. Our little family consists of my two fur babies(boxers - Kobe & Yashi, my boyfriend and myself. I wish I could include a picture of my boxers paw stockings, they're too cute. I would send in a video but one of my babies, Kobe is unfortunately suffering from seizures and we haven't trimmed the tree since we're busy with Dr visits. p.s. I found your yet channel searching lululemon hauls and now I'm hooked on all your chan

  • for some reason it keeps telling me i have no uploaded videos. so hopefully you get the link :( but my entry for this is our fav. tradition that we always do no matter what is christmas eve we drive around and look at lights while drinking hot chocolate. then we come home and open up pjs and watch a christmas movie. :)

  • My favorite holiday tradition is putting up the Christmas tree. I collect ornaments and so putting them up is like looking back at past memories.

  • We have many family holiday traditions but my absolute favorite is getting my brothers and their families together on Thanksgiving night loading up in a few vehicles to take the kids to Medow Lights and ride the train and carousel then we go into the candy store... That is our Christmast tradition that Mom started when we were kids...

  • For the past nine years, after my brother and my dad are in bed, my mum and I go downstairs, check all the decorations one last time, then snuggle up on the sofa with our dog and watch Law and Order with big cups of hot chocolate and a brownie!! Not a standard tradition I know but it was one of those things that went on year after year without us realising!! -LOVE-xx

  • we go tubing local golf course, and then go through town and see the lights kinda magical...we bring our thermos full of cider/cocoa or whatever...

  • I am in the midst of creating a new tradition. But I think making certain kinds of things to eat like fresh hot chocolate, and baked goods are my faves. Also filling the house with flowers candles and lights really set the mood. I love decorating and playing holiday tunes too!

  • every year we watch a movie that is played in Norway on chrismas morning. And then we drink the best homemade cocoa ever made! Its so nice to be with my familiy! :D

  • My Family Tradition is to have a huge English Breakfast 'fry up' on Christmas Morning, in our PJs.

  • my favorite holiday tradition is putting the christmas tree up with the lite playing in the background, nothing is better!

  • We have a fairly new tradition now that we've all grown up that I really enjoy. Rather than all of the "kids" getting a stocking (since we aren't kids anymore) we all draw names and trade stockings each year and fill one person's stocking. Each year we add a decoration to the stocking we fill representing ourselves, so that after several years all of our stockings will have the whole family represented.

  • I'm somewhat new to your channels, Jen, but I am loving watching them. Reading all these christmas traditions makes me want to steal a few of them for next year. What great prizes you are giving away. How exciting. Keepin' my fingers crossed.

  • I love opening family gifts on xmas eve!

  • I don't like being on camera

Then at dinner time my husband and I try and go to both family dinners, and we usually open gifts at my in-laws later that night. Along with more Christmas movies... :) The whole day is relaxed and centered around having fun and being relaxed. No dress code! Usually lounge clothes and slippers...my fav!

  • Our favorite holiday tradition is going to Colonial Williamsburg with the kids. It is beautiful, simple and full of Virginian history that we can pass on to our kids. The decorations are so simple and elegant. It is a magical place that will transport you back to the 1700's. It is full of memories for us as adults as we have been going there for many years.

  • one of my favorite holiday traditions is my group of girlfriends always get together for a nice dinner and exchange secret santa gifts. i've come to love this gathering because as we've gotten older, it's become so difficult to get together, so i cherish these get togethers, and it's always so fun to get a little dressed up and have a nice meal together.

  • Hi Jen! My holiday prep includes a family cookie bake, lights all over the house, a tree from a local farm. This year I spray painted a branch white and hung white lights and silver ornaments and glass icicles on it. I'm using it in a big vase on my buffet and it's stunning! Merry Christmas, Jen!

My family of about 60ish would go over to my nanny's to have meat pies with ketchup on Christmas Eve and than we would open up gifts from the family at that point. Now my favorite tradition is waking up on Christmas morning with my husband he always makes it so special just by being there, than we spend the day with family. Time with family is what's important to me.

  • One of my favorite family holiday traditions is opening presents on Christmas Eve with my family. It may sound typical to most people, but its very special to me because after we open gifts, we visit and just laugh and drink around the fire place.

Another would be driving around admiring the lights & decorations & stopping by a nearby court where every house participates and food/money are collected for others.

Lastly, helping to serve meals to those in need on Christmas Day...making them smile.

    Thank you, Jen!

  • My favorite tradition is baking cookies, playing Christmas music, and decorating Christmas tree with my new family :)

  • My Favourite Tradition is waiting for the first big snowfall which normally comes just before Dec. 25th Christmas (as the orthodox Christmas actually takes place in January, I celebrate both because of my family) I like to throw on my boots, jacket and a scarf that night if the snow is still falling and sing "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" I like to imagine that Bing is singing with me. Then I like to Sing "Let it snow!" and Frank is there!

  • My favorite holiday tradition is watching the classic Christmas videos of Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph, The Grinch, etc. on Christmas Eve with my parents & my sister; also we open a gift (the tag always says from Mrs. Claus) every year that gift is pajamas & slippers which we wear that night & Christmas morning when we open our presents. Last year was my last year living at home with my parents so I assume I wont get that anymore, but I will definitely carry on that tradition when I have kids.

  • Hands-down, my favorite Christmas tradition is going to Christmas Eve service with my family. I've been going to the same church for years; it's where my husband and I got married. Now this year is extra special because it will be our baby's first Christmas! Christmas just isn't Christmas to me without singing "Silent Night" with our congregation in the candlelight. It's the best!! :)

  • My favorite holday tradition is putting up the tree, decorating it and decorating the house! We always listen to Christmas music and goof off. Then we watch a Christmas movie and have the fire going. (: I love it! It's one of the main reasons Christmas is my favorite time of the year!

  • My favorite hooliday tradition is to decorate my christmas tree with my family <3 we sall sing carols and my mom put the angel on top at the end <3

  • My favorite tradition is making a snowman with my daughter. Luckily she's still small enough to have fun with that and I'm childish enough to enjoy it just as much as she does :) So we make a snowman on Christmas eve every year and then come back home and have a cup of hot cocoa and that makes me feel it's Christmas more then anything else :)

  • My family and I combine traditions of both of our religions into one. Every year, my fiance and I go over my parent's house to have Hanukkah dinner. My fiance helps to light the menorah. Its the best to have all of my family together celebrating and not to mention the great food we make. Additionally I love when my family makes holiday related drinks like cider and hot cinnamon tea! I love the holidays!

  • My favorite holiday tradition is baking Christmas cookies with my Mom. We have baked each Christmas as far back as I can remember. We only bake these cookies at Christmas so they are very special since we only have them once a year.

  • My favorite holiday tradition is baking chocolate chip cookies from scratch with my family. It's my favorite because we are all together, working together and just being a family. :) It puts a sense of joy and love into the atmosphere, and it is just such a wonderful time every year. Plus, the cookies always taste amazing! ^^ Working together with your family is wonderful, especially when there is a treat afterwards!!

  • My favorite Holiday tradition is putting up all the indoor/outdoor Christmas decorations. My husband and I wear Christmas PJ's, blare Christmas Music and just take a whole day to be together having fun. Later that night we cuddle up on the couch with our four little pups watch Christmas movies and drink hot cocoa. It usually takes me longer than a day to get everything decorated, but I love that he helps me with so much! Our dogs also sport their Christmas pj's, LOL! It's jut a fun tradition <3

  • My favorite tradition is decorating the tree, making cookies and going on a holiday house light tour, and watching Christmas movies with my kids and husband.

  • As a child our celebration started at Chrismas eve (24th of december) with going to church. I was a member in the choir so i always had a blast. After church we went home and eat Christmas raisinbread with creambutter. On the 25th we visited family or made long walks. Around 5pm we had a wonderful diner at home. We never exchanged gifts because we already did that on the 5th of december (Dutch celebration called Sinterklaas). Today we have no real tradition. Our plans are diferent year by year.

  • Hi :) my family and I go on a trip during the holidays. It ranges from going to Disneyland, Europe, Japan, Korea, Brazil, different states in the U.S.A...anywhere as long as we're together exploring different places, spending time together, seeing how different cultures celebrate Christmas.

  • Greetings Jen. Eating and gathering together for the holidays are usually on the list, but my favorite tradition for christmas is after everyone goes home. I gather my babies(my three dogs) around the fireplace and share cookies and big glass of milk.

  • Thanks for having this contest. I think it is really sweet of you. My favourite holiday tradition with my family is all of us sleeping in the living room on christmas eve after playing a bunch of board games, listing to christmas music, doing tones of snacking of our fave treats and making a ginger bread house. Even though we are all older and moved out we still do this at my parents house every year. The next day we wake up early have breakfast and open gifts.

  • My family and I go to the National Xmas tree. It is beautiful, the White House is visible across the street, every State donates a small tree trimmed usually by a nonprofit, there is a huge yule log fire, and of course Santa is in his workshop filled with elves making gifts! We started before we were married and now years later we continue with our little one.

  • One of my favourite Holiday/Family traditions would have to be looking at Christmas Lights. Almost every year my family and I go driving and look at some of the best Christmas Lights in our town. Thankyou for this giveaway :)

  • my family tradition is we all wake up early on Christmas morning we each exchange presents. we eat a big breakfast and go to church.

  • Making sugar cookies with my daughters for santa.

  • My husband and I, along with his family, buy matching Christmas pajamas from pajamagram. We wear them at his parents house on Christmas eve when we exchange gifts. Earlier in December (this weekend as a matter of fact) we also have a pajama night. We get together, have a hot chocolate bar, and have the Christmas Olympics (a bunch of minute-to-win-it type games).

  • Every year I buy a photo ornament with the Xmas card that I made that year. it is fun to look at the past year ornaments and photos. I hope to continue this tradition and I am looking forward the day I can pass these ornaments to my children and grandchildren!

  • My family are not big on traditions so I started my own for us :o). On Christmas Eve I go for lunch with my Mam and my friend brings her Mam. Its just a simple thing but it gets my Mam away from the preparation madness for a few hours. I really enjoy it as its a nice quiet time in the middle of all the festivities when we can just chill and chat for a while. Thanks Jen xxx

  • Every year a local railroad runs a "santa train" polar express type of thing, my husband and I take our children and it is so much fun! We wear our pajamas, sing christmas carols, take pictures, visit with santa, get hot chocolate and candycanes:) Sounds simple, but it is something we all look forward to and really enjoy! After our train ride we always go to A&W rootbeer and have a snack! It is a really great tradition that my husband and I have started for our family! Happy Holidays!

  • We have many traditions we keep at the holidays from Thanksgiving to Christmas. My favorite is a tradition I've been keeping since I was teenager. Every year I make "Christmas Bread". It's basically a sweet bread recipe that is filled with fruit, nuts, chocolate and tons of butter and cinnamon sugar and formed into a wreath. It's a lot of work and tons of calories so we only enjoy it at Christmas but it definitely makes Christmas morning special.

  • We have just started combining mine and my husbands family traditions for our young children. We put out mince pie, a glass of milk and a carrot on christmas eve for santa and rudolph then leave a few crumbs on the plate so they think they ate them! We then ring bells at the bottom of the stairs gently so they think they heard them too! We open stockings on Christmas morning and then have a big breakfast, we open a few more present then go to mass then have lunch and finish the presents! Thanks

  • my family doesn't really do Christmas anymore, but my mom does always make delicious homemade lasagna on Christmas. usually I spend the day chilling out and spending time with my family, which is really nice because I'm away at college for most of the year and don't get to see my parents or brother that often :)

  • one of my family traditions is getting christmas pj's on christmas eve and my brother and I sleep in the same room and my mom reads us twas the night befoe christmas. My brother is still young and to keep the christmas spirit alive, while mom reads, dad goes out on the porch and throws a basket ball on the roof to act as if santa was landing on the roof, and shakes jingle bells, My brother gets so excited and mom finishes the book, so he can sleep haha i have great memories of this :)

  • my favorite family holiday tradition: ok, so i am 32 years old and my little sister is 19 -- but EVERY year we get matching pajamas to wear on christmas eve... and we also throw "reindeer food" on the lawn to help santa get to our house (oatmeal with a little glitter mixed in). i know it is silly being that we are so old, but it is a tradition that we will never break :) happy holidays to you - thank you for all that you do!!!

  • My favorite christmas tradition is going to church on Christmas Eve with my family. I love it when they turn the lights off and everyone lights their candles and sing Christmas carols in the dark by candlelight!!!!

  • My favorite Christmas tradition is making ginger cookies while my husband puts the Nativity set, and the tree up and then lights it. We decorate together, and watch the vintage "Christmas in Connecticut". We leave the tree top empty until our grandson comes and we hold him up to place the star, which provides some great photo ops!

  • My favorite Holiday tradition is decorating the tree really early with my husband and two boys! We blast Christmas music drink festive drinks and enjoy our time together!! :) My husband is military so he is not home too often. The times we get to share the holidays together we cherish!! :)

  • My favorite holiday tradition is getting our tree, decorating it while listening to christmas music and baking cookies! :)

  • My favorite holiday tradition is picking out the christmas tree!!! Every year we do it on my birthday, Dec. 7. We go out to dinner to celebrate and we always have a little family competition on who picks the best christmas tree and which one we end up buying:) And we ALWAYS watch "Its A Wonderful Life". It wouldnt be Christmas without it, haha. Christmas movies and hot chocolate! Mmm:)

  • My favorite holiday tradition is spending the day watching the A Christmas Story marathon on TBS while putting together our kids' toys/presents. I always make a big breakfast after we've opened everything and bake something special to nibble on throughout the day as well. We usually don't even bother getting dressed at all. We hang out in our Pj's, playing, eating, cuddling all day. It's wonderful. Our dinner christmas day is always the leftovers from the big christmas eve spread.

  • One of my favorite traditions is the annual tree hunt with my sisters for our final gift from our parents. Many years ago when my mom and dad started giving us spending money as our final gift they put in an ornament or other object that they then hid in the tree for each of us. It is a contest to see who can find theirs first after we have finished opening all the presents! :)

  • My favorite Christmas tradition is what my family calls "hiding the pickle". Every Christmas morning growning up, my parents would hide a pickle ornament in our Christmas tree. The person who finds the pickle gets an extra gift. My sisters an all are all in our 20's now and we still take part in this competition!

  • my favorite Christmas tradition is the opening of the presents. our family has a real Christmas tree filled with random collection of ornaments and lights. we put a program of a fireplace and Christmas music on the tv as we open our gifts. the truly experience the season of giving. happy holidays, Jen!

  • Hey Jen, I wanted to say thanks for having these give aways. I was a second prize winner this summer and am preparing for my trip this Christmas! I will definitely be bringing my little Sherpani bag. The one tradition I love most during Christmas is baking in general with my grandma. I haven't mastered lefse yet but I hope to in the imminent years.

  • One tradition is watching the movie A Christmas Story on tv all day long while opening gifts and then hanging out by the fire till dinner! Can't wait!

  • my favorite tradition is watching the Disney christmas show with my whole family before having our christmas dinner

  • my favorite holiday tradition is going to mexico to see my family and going out to eat at this restaurant called Angels and popping fireworks!

  • Hi Jen!

I love Christmas! One of my favorite traditions is to read all of my holiday children's books on Christmas eve---even though I am 26, I still love children's books. My mom used to get me one every year for Christmas, so I can remember each year through each book. My mom passed away in 2010, so those books, and her messages to me, written inside the front flap, are so special to me.

  • Hi Jen, still a scaredy cat - no video entry from me!! (also I noticed the new wrapping paper!)

My favourite Christmas tradition is to have mangoes, peaches and grapes for breakfast. I know that it is Christmas time when I smell mangoes at the fruit shop!!

My other favourite tradition is now having the nieces and/or nephews hand out the presents from under the Christmas tree - it still amazes me that they can wait for the adults to have their presents first - before they open their own!!

  • Our tradition is that we all will have raclette (don't know how known it is in the US...you have a little pan that you can fill with all kinds of vegetables, than you put raclette cheese on top and put it in the raclette machine...It's soo yummy!!) as dinner and then going to the night service in our church at 10pm. It's the same every year. Afterwards my brother and I will go over to a friends house and hang out until about 1am.

  • My favorite tradition is getting together and watching a christmas movie with my family each year!

  • every year on christmas eve my family does take out from Pats Pizza which is a local family owned pizza place. its a tradition we have done forever as pats has been open for decades. we all look forward to bringing it home late christmas eve then going to bed to wait for santa!

  • my favorite holiday tradition is making gingerbread cookies with my sisters and my mum while watching "The Grinch" on dvd. =)

  • My favorite holiday tradition is to watch A Christmas Story (the best holiday movie in my opinion) and open one present on the 24th with my close family. Every single year it's christmas pj's but it's still neat to see how my mom has kept up with that every year since we were little.

  • My fave tradition, since my little one joined our family, has been to open Chritmas gifts in the morning of December 25, then make Christmas shaped pancakes and have a holiday film marathon :)

  • My favorite holiday tradition is baking sugar cookies on christmas eve and decorating them. It is also fun to walk up every two hours waiting for christmas morning lol!

  • Our favorite holiday tradition is to cook and clean together the night before Eid, and then visiting family that I haven't seen in awhile. By the end of the night we are 'squad deep' :)
