Both Holy scriptures of Islam and Vedanta convey that there have been many revelations that convey the same truth e.g. The Quran says; know Prophet that we have sent to you this Holy Qur'an, also we have sent them to those we have mentioned to you and those also we have not mentioned to you. It's a pleasure to exchange knowledge with each other, the answer to ur question is - the Glorious Qur'an tells us to believe in Allah alone without taking patners with him as mentioned in Chapter 40: Verse 65 " HE is the living one. There is no God except Him.So pray to Him, making religion pure for Him (only). Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds". And it is Allah who has sent down the Final Message i.e. the Glorious Qur'an for the whole of Mankind which is the guidance for all.

yes i am in complete agreement with the Holy Qur'an, but in terms of understanding this holy surah,i take a different percpective, When it say's One without a second it cannot in my oppinion be taken arithmetically but in the true conception of the concept of'One'(that is mathematically & philosophically) it implies in conjunction with the conception of a 'whole'-which consists of parts of the entire unit. even in this surah it urges us to contemplate on it and make sense of it philosophically

My friend, i would like to take you to one verse of the Qur'an which says 3:32 "Say: Obey Allah and the Messenger..." The Qur'an tells us to understand it, the way Allah and his Messenger taught us. For whosoever follows the Last Messenger Prophet Muhammad (s) is succesful in this life and the hearafter.Therefore our understanding must be how the Prophet taught us to.

Not so becuase even The Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam said, "Islam began as something strange and it will return as something strange, the way it began. So Tooba (a tree in Paradise) is for the strangers." He was asked, "Who are the strangers?" to which he replied, "Those that purify and correct what the people have corrupted of my Sunnah." [at-Tabaraanee in al-Kabeer 6/202] So my question to you is if the understanding remains pure why does the prophet urge us to keep purifying it?

The hadees itself has the answer to ur question, the Prophet (may Allah exalt his mentioning) is asking the believers to PURIFY and CORRECT the Sunnah which the People have corrupted, it's about correcting the PEOPLE's Way when they are not following the sunnah as what the Prophet (s) did. It's not about correcting the SUnnah of the Prophet (s) it's about correcting the people when they mislead themselves away from the Prophets way.

I completely agree that part of Rigveda that predicted the coming of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) but it also said follow him obey him accept him agree with him, why do u partially follow the vedas.
