@mengle2004 easy ..all you need is the wiring diagram....making the ecu turn on and control spark is easy ..i can have the car running out of a gas can in 20 mins .but making the relays work for fuel is a little more work ..i use a new 5 pin relay bought from any parts store (use google for 5 pin relay image) the mustang ecu's send out a ground signal to operate the relay .works same but instead of you sending power to turn it on you send ground to complete the circuit ..done it to couple cars
@mengle2004 hook up couple power wires on the ecu harness and a couple grounds and you can have it turn on the system ...power and ground are easy to find on a diagram ..then simply plug every thing in sensor wise and turn the motor over and check for spark ..if you have spark the next thing to do is make a 5 pin relay work to control the fuel pump like factory ...or just run fuel pump to relay and toggle switch like a race car and manually control the on off of pump ..
@svtmotorman Thanks man, it is hard to find real advice from someone that has actually made it work. I am still in the parts gathering phase of building something similar. I found a 68 body for 1000 and I plan to try to track down a running 88-93 mustang GT. Sounds like hooking the fuel pump to a switch is the easiest but I like it working off the key. I hope to build something like this that is easy to drive on the road.
@mengle2004 yea ...the key is nice ...nothing like turning the key and hearing the fuel pump prime and turn off after 7-10 secs it makes it seem like its complete ...drives like a 2012 ...dead reliable ....i kno the relay sounds tricky but just type 5 pin relay in google images ...one spot is constant power one spot is key on one spot is ground one spot is to acc that needs power .....and one is the input ......its very very simple
@67mustang351wefi not sure what fucking state you live in ?............but no you cant you dum ass .....if you right the worng thing or less then what car has ....atleast in ohio ......it will say odometer discrepancy.....and not actual.........here's a video response for this video titled 67mstangefi is a fucking retard .you should check it out some time buddy i think youll like it
@svtmotorman its a nice car man thats for sure..how do you know the miles are org?looks like its been threw the ringer a little to much to have 8thousand org miles..either way she seems like a fun car!
@philthyco and yes it was beat up by a ex girl friend back in early 70's since they parked it when it was still pretty new ...........be like parking a 2008 in 2010 and leave it in a barn for 30+ years ..........just like we see on tv but it really does happen ......my other 68 has like 180-280 k miles ..so yea i enjoy telling people about his car and its history
@svtmotorman nice barn find!i had a 67 loved it but i went threw two motors fast a 306 and 347..the 347 is not a good street motor burns alot of oil..but yea i build mostly chevy now..but ive done a poncho 400 and buick 455 also and ive got a stroker olds small block in my cutlass..keep building the old schools man..peace.
You got 1.7 rockers to fit under STOCK valve covers? Good one but don't things so.. And the speedo rolls over I really don't believe It has original 8100
lol im going to be cool and not be a dick ......lol i will make a video of car running then pull cover off and you can read 1.7 for your self .....and right after ill show on same video the title with the word ACTUAL beside 7900 miles .....and a better thing to say or ask for that matter would be how do i run 1.7's under factory HO covers ....well my end rockers are machined or "notched"
@fucknuts12 .......ya ya lol......ya i know man ...but seriously couple of my buddys are running the stage 3 tfs cam with stock pistons but 1.6's........i checked ptv when i put motor together and i was good ...close but good......and i can vouch and say this motor see 7500 some times more depends if its going sideways and im not paying attention to revs lol..............and no its factory reliefs i never touched them
@svtmotorman wow im impressed. yeah kudos to not paying attention to rpm when your goin sideways lol. i do that all the time in my 89, mine spins over 7k when i want it to. but i have a tiny cam, its just a ford racing ecam, but i also only have gt40 heads. im doing tw heads and the tfs stage 2. when winter comes around.
how hard was the swap?
