Just to clarify this to those who says that this movie is NOT reality: I've worked on farms like that and I even went in a farmingschool where they TEACHED us to hit the animals and mistreat them for doing nothing wrong. Teached not to show empaty - So yes, this happens in real life and yes, even in a country like Sweden (Where I come from).

I'm not trying to convince anyone that it's ethical. Never even said it was. I used to be a vegatarian myself, until I got severe anemia. The iron pills didn't seem to be working. When I started eating meat again, I was healthy.
Animal fats are good for the human brain as well. Killing is unethical, yes. But this is the curse nature has given us. I know you propaganda folk are prone to lying, so please research more.
I dislike the people in this video, but I also dislike the people who videotaped this footage and did nothing in that moment to stop what was happening. People want to promote veganism and vegetarianism, but while they gather footage for things like this, they don't stop people from doing what is shown. It just goes to show that no one is right in cases like this.
God put animals on this earth for us to consume and enjoy. While I don't advocate the treatment these animals recieved, I as a farmer, have never treated an animal like this. We believe in quick, humane kills for the animals that we consume. We treat our animals as good or better than our family. Please do not think that EVERYONE treats animals as done in this video. However, not everyone is like that and the purpose of this video is inform people that animals used for clothing, food or entertainment are so often treated badly. Therefore, it is our responsibly to be aware of who are we supporting when we buy clothes, food or cosmetics. If one is ignorant to this issue, he or she is directly responsible for animals suffering, full stop.
This video honestly made me feel sick. But it's an eye opener and I am so happy I made the choice to go vegan even before I saw it. I don't understand how God can allow this to happen to his creatures, and I never will, all I know is I'm happy that they are not in pain because of me...although I wish everyone felt the same.

In reference to God, it is my belief, as I have concluded from the Bible, that God is also sickened and deeply saddened to see this done to his creatures. The book Dominion by Matthew Scully is a great, important read that deals with these issues.
@MrDandCB But I strongly disagree that animals are "here for us" to use/abuse however we please. We were given a mandate to care for them (dominion does not translate to mean abuse/ misuse power). Exploiting animals is not part of our mandate, esp. for matters of gluttony (i.e. because we want to eat when and how we want) or greed (to make the most profit possible, and thus prohibit our appropriate, compassionate dominion over animals). As mentioned above, I highly recommend the book Dominion.

I saw the whole thing yesterday. The scene that upset me the most is at 1:48 in this trailer. That is just wrong on so many levels. But anyway, I'm not going vegetarian or vegan because of this movie. Fuck it! Most people are hypocrites anyway. A friend of mine just loves animals, but just the cute ones you know. Deer, rabbits, etc. She won't eat anything that has "wild" animals in it. But she eats at McDonalds every day. She also likes all thing that are leather, jackets, purses etc.

Hey everyone, if this makes you upset, that's good!! :) It means you are concerned and don't want this to be going on! "Well, what can I do?" You can look into going vegan of course! :) There are plenty of websites that guide you on becoming veg, vegan or reducing your consumption of meat. There are so many wonderful vegan alternatives to milk, cheese, eggs, meat ("gardein" is one of the best) and yes even beef jerky, if you want to spice up vegan dishes. We don't have to contribute to this :)
@mpeniak did you make this entire video on your own, independent from the film company? Was it actually shown nationally/internationally as an official trailer? Either way, it's the best out of all Earthlings trailers (in my opinion)...the use of music, imagery, text, and audio from the movie are all combined beautifully. I hate to use the word 'beautiful' for such a disheartening--but eye-opening-- film, but it does draw us in, without exaggeration. Props man.

there's a borderline between animal cruelty and need for food. some of this is truly disgusting, but at this current time, not using some livestock for food would cause huge overpopulation and destruction of nature, in ways such as animal feces as a pollutant, overuse of a terrain's natural resources, and, in the case of cows, overproduction of greenhouse gasses such as methane. I have no tolerance for animal abuse, but abusing the environment by overpopulation is just as bad as animal cruelty.

I like how this movie isn't like a PETA video. The word "vegetarian" isn't even mentioned in the movie. They simply show you the cold, hard facts and leave you to decide if you want to do anything.
I watched the whole film because I wanted to be informed, as hard as it is to swallow this stuff (no pun intended lol). I cried violently throughout the entire movie and then I stopped eating meat. Even if you're against vegetarianism, you shouldn't eat meat without question. Everyone should watch this, whatever you take from it, it's important to be informed.
I gave up meat the moment i saw this. i was in denial about how animals were treated, but this opened my eyes. It breaks my heart that animals can be treated this way, one day i hope they will be treated with respect!

after that trailer i could not watch the film. It would make me cry. I cant see the truth like all the others. Everybody is eating meals from Mcdonalds and so on, nobody cares of how the animals feel.. It is so sad. the time where we should have changed is when the human started to eat meat

I saw the whole thing yesterday. The scene that upset me the most is at 1:48 in this trailer. That is just wrong on so many levels. But anyway, I'm not going vegetarian or vegan because of this movie. Fuck it! Most people are hypocrites anyway. A friend of mine just loves animals, but just the cute ones you know. Deer, rabbits, etc. She won't eat anything that has "wild" animals in it. But she eats at McDonalds every day. She also likes all thing that are leather, jackets, purses etc.

Hey everyone, if this makes you upset, that's good!! :) It means you are concerned and don't want this to be going on! "Well, what can I do?" You can look into going vegan of course! :) There are plenty of websites that guide you on becoming veg, vegan or reducing your consumption of meat. There are so many wonderful vegan alternatives to milk, cheese, eggs, meat ("gardein" is one of the best) and yes even beef jerky, if you want to spice up vegan dishes. We don't have to contribute to this :)

@mpeniak did you make this entire video on your own, independent from the film company? Was it actually shown nationally/internationally as an official trailer? Either way, it's the best out of all Earthlings trailers (in my opinion)...the use of music, imagery, text, and audio from the movie are all combined beautifully. I hate to use the word 'beautiful' for such a disheartening--but eye-opening-- film, but it does draw us in, without exaggeration. Props man.

i saw this film and i remain a carnivore, i know this animals have suffered and will suffer cause of people like me, but violence is in the nature of the world. i'm anyway against any kind of maltreatment. my opinion is that we should just be less, so that animals could have a beautifull life ending with our feeding. Instead is impossible to give this animals a good life. And for last but not for importance, i don't give a fuck about animals or humans bad conditions.

@whoppersrcool Consumers have more power than you know. Less demand for meat=less production of meat. Not only that, your money would presumably be going towards vegetarian stuff, supporting them. If more and more people start doing it you will see changes in cultures. It happens all the time, and companies are out for money. If product 'A' doesnt sell well there is no point making it and trying to push it.

there's a borderline between animal cruelty and need for food. some of this is truly disgusting, but at this current time, not using some livestock for food would cause huge overpopulation and destruction of nature, in ways such as animal feces as a pollutant, overuse of a terrain's natural resources, and, in the case of cows, overproduction of greenhouse gasses such as methane. I have no tolerance for animal abuse, but abusing the environment by overpopulation is just as bad as animal cruelty.

Less cows, chickens, pigs, etc. Nature gave us a perfect balance, there was never overpopulation until humans mass produced animals. We are the ones creating manure pits, cutting down the rainforest for farmland, etc. If we did not mass produce animals, everything would be in balance. How about you do some research before you talk.

look,people will always eat animals,i think the point should be to kill them in the most humane way possible,and only as much as is needed.also treatment of non "food animals" like dogs and cats etc .we should enact harsher laws for people who abuse them.
also certain species that are under threat of extinction should be protected.
but to say no eating cows,or lamb,is not a viable option.

I couldn"t watch the whole movie now, and this is just the trailer...;-( I cried I really did, and not just because I feel sorry for these animals but I cried how humans are the biggest dissappointment in the creation of the earth.

I like how this movie isn't like a PETA video. The word "vegetarian" isn't even mentioned in the movie. They simply show you the cold, hard facts and leave you to decide if you want to do anything.

I watched the whole film because I wanted to be informed, as hard as it is to swallow this stuff (no pun intended lol). I cried violently throughout the entire movie and then I stopped eating meat. Even if you're against vegetarianism, you shouldn't eat meat without question. Everyone should watch this, whatever you take from it, it's important to be informed.
