I'll be looking forward to someone putting you on ice, or in ice..... how about that, next winter, we incase you in ice for the winter and see if you work in the spring

Well, that's kindof what I was thinking as well.
I'm glad *MY* freeagent go isn't frozen in your ice rink, but I'm glad you froze yours because I'm really curious as to the result.
My bet: it won't survive. If the ice heaves just a little it might place too much of a shear on the drive, which would likely break the drive head.
We'll see in the spring!
