  • oh this is terrible and is making me cry..poor baby!

  • My son is 4 months old now and we got told he had whooping cough about 5 weeks ago, he is identical to your son here this is how he is, much worse on a night though, but it doesnt seem to be subsiding, how long until your son got better ? thanks xx

  • @stu82pid It actually takes a long time to go away. It took about 3.5 months for the cough to completely subside. The nights are always worse but definitely the "episodes" will become less frequent and less intense! Hope your lil' guy starts to get better really soon. It's HORRIBLE!!!

  • poor thing :(

  • Poor kiddo! Hope your kid got better! For those who don't believe in vaccines, ask any doctor/researcher with some credential, they'd say vaccine was the best thing that happened in the medical field other than antibiotics!

  • it's a bacteria

  • My son, 2 months has a similar cough to this and i took him in and they said that it was normal to cough, to get any thing in their throat. After seeing this video Im more concern then ever. It breaks my heart to see him coughing so horribly.

  • Poor guy, good to see youtube being used for something helpful. Hope everything went ok and he stays pertussis free

  • Aww no, thats so horrible to watch! I hope he gets better soon.makes me wanna hug my girl n never let go.

  • I have been dealing with my baby girl (6 months old) doin this for two weeks. I finally had to make a video as well to get something done. We go today to find out whats wrong. I hope your baby is better. God Bless

  • :-(

  • That broke my heart. Thank you for posting this video....i am now watching my son like a hawk.

  • Recent study 25,000 children: UN-vaxed children less prone to allergies/disease than vaxed children. Google it. Quote: "The chief if not sole cause of monstrous increase in cancer has been vaxs" Dr. Robert Bell former vice President International Society 4 Cancer Research British Cancer Society. Dr. Maurice Hilleman former head of vax @ Merck admitted on camera (Utube) Hep B vax caused AIDs epidemic. Autism now 1 in 93! Why? VAX! NEVER proven safe or effective! U have been warned! I'd ban them!

  • Oh my this made me cringe!! I'm so glad you were able to get him taken care of!

  • My son who's now 3 Thank God caught Pertussis when he was 5 weeks old. He was in the hospital on and off for 4 months. Were thankful he made it through ok as some don't. So scary and heart breaking. My heart goes out to you and every mom, dad, and child this horrible virus has attacked.

  • I know what this baby is going through. It's the worst feeling in the world. I had a very severe case of Whooping Cough. I almost died. All my episodes occured at night. I would stop breathing entirely and pass out while my parents watched helplessly. It lasted 4 months and I was always terrified to go to sleep at night. This all happened last summer. Every time I get sick, I always have that fear indie back of my mind. God bless everyone who's going through this :)

  • Poor little bubba :'( must have been hard for you to see him go through that x

  • Poor kid, he's too young to be suffering like that.

  • After the cough attack is over the baby crying is probably the sweetest thing you can hear.

  • After the cough attack is over the baby crying is probably the sweetest thing you can hear.

  • After the cough attack is over the baby crying is probably the sweetest thing you can hear.

  • thank you ! i got my sons needles for this already & have took him to the dr and they tell me hes fine but this sounds exactly how my baby coughs everynight for the last 2 months :(

  • pour baby!I love u baby! Hope u feel better

  • thats why is important to immunise yours baby(poor little punpkin)

  • aww this is so sad, poor baby. I hope once he was admitted they got him all fixed up.

  • God.....just imagining the feeling the baby is feeling, and no way to stop it...really gets to me

  • That's how I coughed from age 2 to age 18! I would get it twice a year and it lasted 3 months each time. The doctors said I had asthma but no asthma medication would really work for me. Sometimes I think I had whooping cough or maybe it was something more serious. Your poor baby!! I know just how she felt! Ugh...terrible! Terrible terrible! And I would get awful headaches from it as well! My heart goes out to her! Sad she had to go through that!

  • Poor little honey, made me cry watching this, hope he is feeling better:)

  • This is exactly what our son did as well. We took him in twice two and both times were told it was croup and turned away. So we took video with our cell phone and took it back into the doctors. When they saw what he was doing the sent him immedietly to the hospital. It has been two weeks now and he is still having the couging episodes in the hospital. We spent one week in Icu and now another week on the regular floor

  • also just want to say a big thank you xx

  • mothers instinct told me that my son had whooping cough then watchin this video confirmed it 4 me hospital sent jaxson home twice even after i told them i thought it was whooping cough so in the end i had 2 film him myself he Finley got swabbed & he did have it Jaxson was born march 7th caught it at 5 wks he is now 14wks & a hell of a lot better although the cough is still their i have uploaded jaxsons clip (whooping cough in 7 week old baby) i hope it helps another family like urs helped me xxx

  • @ilikefosters This made me so happy that the video actually helped someone. I'm SOOOOO sorry you're lil' guy caught it as well. I think it's the hardest thing I've had to witness so far as a mother. The cough lasts a while but when he stopped turning blue, I was able to relax a lot more.

  • @ilikefosters mothers instinct? you mean your son was coughing violently and crying because of it? i think thats called common sense LOL

  • @c0Ld No not at all. i'm from the uk where whooping cough is pretty rare at the moment, its the last thing you would suspect your baby 2 catch. If it was common sense i think the health professions would of agreed with me and done something the 1st or 2nd time i took him in. I do belive it was mothers instinct and i kept at them even filmed him until they did the swob and i was right.

  • @c0Ld O and just like to add coughing violently and crying because of it does not necessarily mean whooping cough, their is other illness with similar symptoms like reflux or bronchiolitis. i think common sense is knowing your baby is ill not what it is !!!

  • this is really hard to watch. -__-

  • Holy sh*t! I would be terrified if that had been my child. It's so sad too because you can tell he wanted to cry but couldn't.

  • This made me cry. I hope he is alright, now.

But what I am wondering, is, why is it listed in the 'comedy' category.

  • @rockitzanny 1st. I'm glad me and my baby got the vaccine real early. 2nd. I read the comments and you shouldnt have had to apologize :) she should have read the video info first before saying something. 3rd. But a big thumbs up to you for apologizing and taking good care of your baby. I hope he is doing awesome.

  • aaw he must've been in so much pain :'(

    pobresito..

  • its actually a bacteria

  • I had whopping couph when I was a baby...soooo...yeah. I hope he is ok =]]]

  • awwww.... this made me cry :( poor little lamb :( thankyou for putting this up because my son has a cough at the moment and I thought it was whooping cough... I was worried because I have a newborn and I was worried that it might be whooping cough :( thank God the cough doesn't sound like that :)

  • My heart breaks watching this! How scary! I'm glad to see and hear what whooping cough is. I've been watching my 10 week old who has a bad cough right now. I read that it's a good idea to video your child since they may not cough at the dr's office and will even act well. So great job Mommy! Thank you for posting this.

  • Poor baby, I guess he got it before the shot took effect? I hope he is all better.

  • Oh my! I could'nt bear to watch the whole video. Very traumatising to watch, could not imagine being his poor parents!!:(

  • this made me cry, i have a one month old and hes my first son, im so sorry this had to happen

  • Aw, that breaks my heart! It sounds like he can't breath.

  • thanks for the video because i was concerned for my son as well

  • they just sitting up there letting him cough wtf

  • @ronisha151 Hi Ronisha - I'm the lil' ones mom and there really is nothing you can do for them while they are coughing. Sitting him up is the best thing to do. We had been fighting this horrible thing for over a week and we were trying to get this on film for the Dr since we had taken him in two times already with no answers. We were doing what we could to get him help. This video saved his life. I wasn't just sitting there letting him cough.

  • @ronisha151 u r an idiot.

  • @ronisha151 pretty sure she is rubbing his back and trying to settle him... not much u can do! poor lil one :( hope he got better! bloody doctors are ridiculous these days!

  • @mamacita8178 - I hope you get some answers on your lil' one. That's the thing about whooping cough - a lot of the adults never know they have it and that's how they pass it on continuously. All it takes is a simple vaccination booster for adults and/or if they catch it - antibiotics. But this thing kills babies!!

  • i hope your baby is doin alot better. also i wanna say thank you for posting this video. my 15 month old has been chronically coughing for 2 1/2 months and the doctors always say the same thing " she sounds clear in the lungs." and gets nothing nor further treatment...

  • thanks for posting this video. This is exactly how my 15 month old coughs, and of course the doctors have no idea why shes been chronically coughing for 2 1/2 months. shes being tested today for "whooping cough"

  • @mamacita8178 Did you get some answers??

  • @rockitzanny did u take him to the hospital!?!?!

  • Oh my God!! Is he alright now?! God Bless him!

  • @24sbm120 He's doing much better now. It took him about 4 months to get rid of the cough entirely. It was incredibly sad.

  • @rockitzanny Wow! Thats so great! Hes an adorable little baby. why don't you post videos of him after treatment as of now? It would be great to see that! :)

  • petroltear

    Yeah... ok... cuz ur right

  • OMG poor baby... it breaks my heart... I hope he's better, I used to hate it when my babies got sick :(

  • @ruberryful Just going to say, you and your "friend" kansasgurl2121 are the ones who are wrong. If I were rockitzanny I would not have apologized at all.

  • You had no need to apologise. Kansasgurl2121 comment was accusatory and unfair. This video helped a lot with my studies. Thank you.

  • Thats so sad :(

  • I'm glad this video helped your baby. What do they do to help babys with this? I'm just curious incase my newborn gets it.

  • Thanks so much for putting this video up - it helped us greatly with our near 6 month old - VERY much appreciated

  • Oh my I am so sorry this makes me so sad I feel awful for this precious baby. No kid should ever have to go through that. I hope he is well now.

  • i cried. im so sorry you and your poor baby had to go through this. i hope all is well now.

  • I'm going to cry watching this, that baby is clearly very uncomfortable and miserable, this reminds me of when I had pneumonia and would go into coughing fits and couldn't catch my breath because of them, plus the phlegm didn't help, No child should ever have to go through this, bless you and your baby.

  • thank you for posting this...it's help me in my study.. I mean, in medical school, you learn the symptom, but you dont really see how it's actually looks like, unless u had the case while attending the hospital visit...

I hope your baby are getting better... You had done the right thing...

  • dear god this was hard to watch i felt like crying with the baby. i could only imagine having to go thru this with your baby.As a mother of two, i thank you for this video, it is very helpful. And to those who take their time to comment stupidly...why would you even see this video?unless your trying to get educateded on the sounds of this disease?

  • that just really touches my heart. i mean that nukka is finna die nukka. lol

  • my mum went thru the same thing not believed til the doctor got me giggling and seen that I broke into a coughing fit. i hope your beaufitul baby is much better now. your special to me!!!!

  • i had whooping cough as a 2-4month old baby and nearly died, and this helps me realize what fear my mum must have gone thru and how fearful and painful it must have felt for me, even though I don't remember - it made me cry the first time I seen it. my mother used to hold me up by the feet over a crib burner - its no laughing matter at all seeing your baby turning blue and chocking with exhaustion.

  • I appreciate this video because I am trying to figure out whether my daughter has whooping cough or just a normal cold. Thank you so much, and I hope your baby is better!

  • I appreciate this video because I am trying to figure out whether my daughter has whooping couch or just a normal cold. Thank you so much, and I hope your baby is better!

  • I hope your son is doing better! I just gave birth and my son is 10days old and I am very very concern. While I was pregnant my last 3 months I was coughing and now my son is here I am still coughing this time I am wheezing Dr said its just a virus/allergies/chest congested I am noticing my son is breathing heavily took him to Dr. And was told its amniotic fluid. It scares me. What was the first symptoms

  • I am almost in tears seeing your poor baby in such distress, I hope he has made a full recovery?

  • classic whooping cough.. SO glad you got this video for Health Professionals and members of Public to see.. thank you! I hope he is all better now :)

  • Hi there..Just checking in (I talked to you a couple months ago) to see if your little one has completely recovered yet? My daughter caught whooping cough at 8 weeks and she will be 10 months next week and still coughs a few times a day...what a horrible year it's been:( Hope your baby is happy and well!

  • @Kansasgurl2121 HEY! I suggest reading what I posted before you pass judgement on anyone. This video is what saved my kids life. I took him into the Dr a few times and he never coughed while we were there and so since there were no reported cases in our county, she didn't think it could be whooping cough. I don't feel like I have to explain myself to anyone, especially you but for the sake of you wanting to judge me, I'll have you know that this video is what saved his life. Thank you very much.

  • @rockitzanny Im really sorry.... I didnt realize what you were doing.. That was a very rude thing for me to say. and i apologize....):

  • @Kansasgurl2121

    You dont have to apoligize

  • @Kansasgurl2121 - I hope this helped explain why I did what I did - and I'm sorry if you felt like I jumped on you or was rude. And I do apologize for saying "get over yourself." That was uncalled for and it was when we were in the thick of it all and my emotions were running HIGH as I was afraid for my baby. My apologies..

  • @rockitzanny

Dude, you don't gotta be so freakin rude. My friend didn't know. You don't have to yell at her. As you said, don't pass judgment on anyone. I suggest you take your own advice, and instead of assuming things, ask questions first. And she wasnt judging you. Like i said, Stop assuming things.

  • @Ruberryful How was I yelling? And how was I being rude? I wanted to explain to someone why I did what I did. I apologize for making the comment of "get over yourself." And I will apologize to her as well. But I don't get how I was being rude.

  • @rockitzanny - I thank you for apoligizing. Truly, i means alot. Like you said, your emotions were running high, mine were too. i was just mad because of the things you had said to my friend. I hope we can all get passed this and move on with our lives. I really dont want this to happen again between us. And i wish the best for you and your baby.

  • @Ruberryful I don't see how she was being rude. If she was being rude she would have been using curse words and I how can she be yelling? It's just text and I don't really see the use of a exclamation or words in cap locks make except for the HEY! part. Then you turn around and say your friend does not need to apolgize. Your friend was in the wrong for passing judgement like that when the video was meant to save her baby's life. If she mistakened the video then it's right that she did apologize

  • @Kansasgurl2121 I will also have you know that this video has educated many doctors and nurses in our county and a lot of people who had never seen Pertussis. I was doing the only thing I knew to get my kid treated/taken seriously for something I knew was going to kill him. So, get over yourself.

  • @rockitzanny i know thats right girl

  • @Kansasgurl2121 A mother desperate to save her child, THAT'S WHO, dumbass! You should be ashamed of your judgemental post considering this mother could have very well lost her precious baby to a terrible illness that often goes undiagnosed! I just love how sitting on the other side of a computer screen makes people feel like they can be down right mean to someone they know nothing about! Who, BTW...is one of the best mothers I know!

  • @Kansasgurl2121

SERIOUSLY!!!*)(@$^ @#()$*&^@#)*&% You have got to be joking!

She did it so ignorant people such as yourself would be educated! This video has saved LIVES! Especially of this little boy! Do you have kids? Did you know what pertussis sounded like before this video? Do you know the GUT WRENCHING FACTS OF HOW MANY BABIES DIE EACH YEAR FROM THIS! GET OVER YOURSELF! Thank GOD that she did film this and because of it, it SAVED THIS LITTLE BABY BOY!

  • @Kansasgurl2121 reading saves lives.

  • Thank you for spreading awareness. Hope your baby is feeling much better.

  • great video! Thanks for posting because my wife is really concerned about our 9-month old's cough. Hope your baby has recovered fully!

  • Omg this broke my heart i wish no babies had to suffer in any way especially this way they dnt know whats goin on poor babies i hope yur baby gets so much better you must be a strong woman id cry my eyes out everytime if my son had the cough and seeing him that way. Aw :,( i really hope hez gotten better!

  • Search Web MD for the story on the whooping cough epidemic. From article..."Marin County north of San Francisco has a relatively high rate of vaccine refusal. Marin County has the highest number of whooping cough cases"

  • Whooping cough is ONLY still out there because people are not getting their children vaccinated. It's already considered an epidemic in some parts of the country because more and more parents are buying into the belief that these vaccines are naughty. We beat that virus until Mrs. McCarthy came around and convinced parents that the sky was falling. Watch out for measles in the future too thanks to the same anti vaccine parents.

  • @2stagedeep Although I don't know many people more PRO vaccine than I , I do have to correct you on this. Most kids with whooping cough get it from their PARENTS as immunity status post vaccine fades after about 5 ys. For adults it just causes bad cough x 2 months. for babies it's fatal. PARENTS GET YOUR Tdap booster!

  • @boodahduck2 And the parents get it from unvaccinated children and other adults.

  • Look at the anguish in his face. Way to go Jenny McCarthy.

  • poor baby :(

  • oh my god. ill keep the little one in prayers. oh gosh. i never thought i would feel so bad :(

  • Dry atmosphere was tied to our two year old's attacks. The Doc said turn off the AC or put the girl in the tub and let the shower drip causing humidity. This really helped. We now have a three year old boy who is kept at home and I can't figure how he got the bug but it tis not as bad.

  • awwwwww!! this makes my heart shatter into a MILLION pieces:( poor baby:( i can't even explain how sad this makes me!!!!!

  • @RandomNinjaSlavesDx Try steam treatment/humidifier. We put our 2yr girl on blanket in tub and let the shower drip. She would go to the tub when she was sleepy.

    It worked great.

  • How long did it take for stage 1 whooping to start symptoms

  • Our lil' guy is doing much better. It's been over a month since he's had it and he is still coughing but his episodes are not nearly as bad as they were.

  • how long does it usaully take whooping cough stage 1 symptoms to start

  • @Theroguesunit6 He started with a typical cold and had that for approximately 5 days. Towards the end of that, he developed a lil' cough that progressively got worse with each day. It got worse at night too.

  • I read it takes 3 to 12 days then I read 7 to 14 days for symptoms to start I don't know which one is right

  • My 3 month old Baby Girl is making a whooping sound without the coughing. We are going to bring her to the hospital. Very Concerned.... How is your boy doing?

  • Just checking in to see how your son is doing...is he coughing a lot less now? My little girl is still coughing:(

  • Comment removed

  • that breaks my heart. I am so sorry. I hope he is doing much better now.

  • no child that young should be coughing like that. i hate that whooping cough stuff >( hope he feels better

  • Get your BOOSTER. You won't know you have it till it is too late. The cough won't show up until 2 weeks after you get "bronchitis" or a "sinus infection"===what we were told we had. My mom and I got antibiotics but my brother didn't. That is why we got it....he didn't know he had it till he already passed it on...but atbs early can help. GET YOUR TDaP or DTaP before you do this to a infant in a store...or a family member...and tell pregnant women...please..

  • Adults immunity wears off GET BOOSTER. My bro got this so we all got it. Thank God we didn't see our 2mos nephew when contagious. Adults are actually the reservoir that passes it to babies-even if we had vaxd as kids. WE can kill them with this. Not everyone whoops. Record cough & take to a dr. Dont give up. I had sent my bro to doc (he'd whoop and pass out) and I knew nephew could get it and die) but he blew it off-no antibiotics so we ALL got it. Thx doc

  • Awww, poor guy :( He's so beautiful!!

I hope he feels better!! God bless.
