  • 1:45 - 1:52 = beastmode

  • Wait til :55 it starts to REALLY suck.

  • @m0eDr3adzz If you even believe in that shit, it beats the alternative.

  • There are some bands that sound good WITH a vocalist, like Job For a Cowboy. (The Ruination album to be specific.) Then you have your bands who sound immaculate WITHOUT a vocalist.

    Like,

    SLEEP TERROR.

  • SWEET

  • metal \m/

  • mi favorite song from this album is called Somnambulist Pedophile, LOL

  • Why am I just hearing these guys now?

  • sorry for my english...im not realyl good

  • im not sure but...sleep terror love the 8-bits song of nintendo..almost each song, got sumthing like a 8 bit ...thats amazing

  • EVERY1 SAYIN Hail Satan STOP UNLESS UR A THEISTIC 2nd Capitlize HIS NAME PLZ =)

  • It's like buckethead on steroids :D

  • it's a shame this band doesn't have it's own wikipedia article.

  • Muhammad suicmez

  • why is there no vocals

  • Why would you ruin how great this sounds with a vocalist?

  • @fistsofchuck

i LOVE this new.. "Trend" it seams, of having this sick technical instrumental bands..

thats the one thing that held me back from a lot of really fantastic musicians.

  • they actually had a vocalist for a little then they decided not to have one

  • I can't find this cd anywhere

  • Really good style :D

  • 1:00 - 1:10 its like castle vania ^^

  • Effectivement...

  • @fouremoi good ear :)

  • @Edges :P

  • Need to find this CD

  • love these guys :D

  • Its all good bro. At least thers someone out there other than me and my band that listen to Sleep Terror

  • Yo, Jano. I believe this two guys, not one who does drum programming. Main reason for me saying that is that my band almost had the oppurtunity to play with these GUYS, not guy. just saying.

HAIL SATAN AND STAY METAL Y'ALL!!!

  • Hey, your message made me not sure, but i think for 90% this album was recorded with programmed drums, and a drummer was only on live sure... Maybe i screwed up, gotta get my facts straight. Cheers...

  • @JanoElBozo

nono you're right, it's a drum machine, but still they got live drummers.

  • @JanoElBozo you are both right. he wrote it all himself and did use drum tracks, but he also had a drummer that would do live shows and helped with some of the songs.

  • @JanoElBozo actually i believe navene koperweis, the drummer for a band called animosity (now in animals as leaders) is the drummer on the studio tracks

  • @JanoElBozo yeah recorded wtih a drum program but there was a drummer for live shows.

  • so youre a satanic metal head from texas?

  • No, I'm a christian metal head from Massachusettes

  • lmao well cuz you said hail satan. and yall.. sounds like everybody from down here in texas

  • @Wardreamor yes hail satan!!

  • @Wardreamor this album was released in 2006 and you responded in 2010 so the line ups cud've changed by then

  • @Wardreamor I'm pretty sure it started out with just Luke...

For live performances He uses a drummer... I could be wrong though.....

Never the less I believe it was all composed by 1 :)

    Phenomenal music :D

  • if it sounds good listen to it if it doesnt sound good dont listen dont comment and go listen to music you like

  • for sure brother!

  • I like them they're new to me. IF you don't like my explanation, I don't really care lol I was just trying to shed light onto both sides of the discussion. Neither of you are entirely right but neither are entirely wrong in the same sense

  • in your opinion lofl

  • yes in my opinion :) but then again what is an opinion but a butthole? lol

  • MIght I shed some light onto this ever retarded pointless discussion of this bands continuing melodies. This is an album no? The same band playing multiple songs in a row no? So therefore, would it not make sense for them to use the melody of the song before it in the intro and then make a variation of sasid melody in the next track? That is the essential idea of an album i believe. One big variation of a stated melody or melodies at the beginning. Granted this band makes huge variations

  • Yay, first pointless discussion about whose opionion is worth more on one of my videos...

    Carry on gentlemen.

  • ahahahahaha and you were right, it was pointless. awesome upload man!

  • Amazing. Completely amazing.

  • p.s.

Luke is talented, if you don't dig it. Don't listen.

  • JahazielakaCurly ...

so mozarts music is pointless because he plays his very own signature style and didn't play country or alternative?

if you listen to a band, generally the songs are going to be the same style. They only sound alike because of the style. But the artist still plays different modes and scales. If you have a talented ear, you would see how the songs don't sound as similar as you think.

  • I agree that guy left one of the stupidest comments I have ever read on youtube. Deathcore bands playing better then Luke? Are you being serious.

  • i dont listen to country or alternative. i listen to anything metal influenced. and plz dont talk to me about talented ears. im a musician, not only in my own time, but also at my school, you dont know how often i use my ear to stay in time, or to tune drums....dont think just because you sit home all day listening to music you have a talented ear.

  • i found what was mising in my life lol they are the band i always wished existed! nah but there hella sick!

  • Check it out on Sleep Terrors MySpace - There are some songs with vocals. Definitely not deathcore, pure experimental technical progressive death metal.

  • cool, but it really does sound like they have some breakdowns in there, but yea, i think its more death metal, il go add them on myspace...

  • These are a progressive death metal band, these are the Dream Theater of Death Metal.

  • Haha...nice way to put em...i totally agree!!

  • just because a band has breakdowns in their music, doesn't mean they are deathcore, these guys are instrumental, experimental death metal

  • They dont need screaming vocals. Listen to how hard this goes already. Deathcore? No, not at all dude.

  • the drums are only computerized for the album since luke has not found a permanent drummer yet. lives shows he has an actual drummer that plays the songs perfectly. I think its the drummer for cattle decapitation. not all the songs sound the same either. it may be hard to hear the first couple of times you listen to them but there are big differences from song to song. I think his specific style is what makes you feel they all sound the same but you can have any opinion you want I was just sayin

  • so iv heard, but all songs DO sound the same, and that shows how creative their really not. like i said, they are good, but whats the point, if ALL your songs sound like the same one, except in a different order?

  • Jahazie, you just don't have a good enough ear to recognize the differences. If just the fact he's playing lead guitar in a classical style with rapid tempo changes "all sounds the same" to you, you should attempt to broaden your musical horizons a bit more. Believe me, I love brutal/technical/melodic death metal, but Sleep Terror has much more impressive playing/writing styles than most of what I listen to now. And I can hear the difference.

  • good metal bands:

    Iron Maiden

    Megadeth

    In Flames

    Hammerfall

    etc.

dude. listen to their songs from the same album. they are either each written in a different key, or sounds way different. this songs is cool, but its not worth listening to their whole album, because the flow, the rythem of this song repeats in all the other songs, just not in the same order, dong you get that? it is your ear that isnt good..you are forgeting that its just my opinion...dont get all defensive..

  • I'm a musician as well, so don't try to pull that argument. Also, I wouldn't consider them "good" metal bands, just innovative. Try expanding your horizons a bit more with bands like Opeth. None of their songs sound the same. There are plenty of bands I buy full albums from and listen to the entire album, you just have to know who are good songwriters. Plus, you're the one getting so defensive, you've replied more than anyone else. If it's just opinion, stop replying.

  • dude. ive never even heard of Opeth. that shows that they must obviously not be that big. bands like Iron Maiden and Megadeth are legendary. they will be remembered. if you dont believe me, just wait to your all grown up. ppl will still listen to them. and of course im being defensive. i hate the fact that ppl cant accept my opinion, and feel the need to protect their little bands. not EVERYONE like metal. some ppl hate it. just deal with it.

  • .................

I can't believe you just said Opeth must not be that big.

50% of metal bands today cite them as an influence. And don't try to tell me they cite Maiden as one too, I know that, but the point is Opeth is just as well-known. Hell, I have friends who aren't into metal who like Opeth.

All of your other arguments just became invalid - I'm still amazed you haven't heard of them and believe they're not big.

  • ok......you can be amazed all you want, iv never heard of them, your the one who is arguing...if you think Opeth is big, then ok, i really dont care......

  • Okay, now that read the rest of your comment, fans of a band feel the need to "protect" it because people like you attacked it in the first place. You tried to change your argument to a more valid one after first just saying "deathcore is better", but it's still just as dumb. I accept your opinion as far as liking other bands more, but I refuse to accept that you think other bands are better only because they're more "catchy", essentially.

  • again. the fact that i believe some bands are better than others because they are more "catchy" is also my opinion. if you refuse to accept that, than thats your fault.... you dont have to accept it...cause its an opinion...geeze...were going in circles here, are you done? i think i am..

  • I listen Opeth all my life, and they are my favourite band..-I respect them but, their songs really sound very similar..they are writen on the same oriental and minor harmonic scales...the patterns of the music are very very similar.....For ex: compare..."Closure" and the acoustic part of "Blackwater park", do you find some similarities???The only thing that they change from time to time is the vocal that varies from clean to growl :)

  • haha i dont waste my time sitting and listening to modes and tones, i have an ear for it. youre a drummer? what do you do? beat on some drums like a ape...

a real drummer could tell that luke, from sleep terror, has talent. hes good. just admit it. its no big deal. but obviously youre too into youre own type of music so you wont agree. oh well, just drop the arguement guys. people have differences in opnions and obviously this apes is stuck in his primal insticnt.

  • lol ape. monkeys are cooooool. dude. i didnt say this band was not awesome. obviously a drummer that can play that HAS to be talented. so again, i like the music, i just said that TO ME, all these songs are pretty much the same, just in a different order. TO ME. MY OPINION. dont get al worked up about it. they just need to vary a little bit more. sure they are a little different. but each song sound like a continued version of the song before.. get it? so cgraysprecco, get your self together..

  • Oh, I just read this one too - what's wrong with songs sounding like a continued version of the one before? Meshuggah did that with Catch 33 - a 13-part song that was over 40 minutes long. One of the most original bands I've ever listened to. And Sleep Terror's songs have more differences between them than some of Meshuggah's, so I'm not sure where you can't see that.

  • like i said. its MY opinion. you like songs that sound alike. id prefer for each song to be atleast a little unique. just a bit different. Look guys. the reason this album's songs sound alike, is also because it has no lyrics. im sure this band has made other albums with lyrics, but this one just sounds like one big song. and its just MY opinion...so just deal with it..

  • Who ever said I like songs that sound alike? I already stated before I like diversity, and I find diversity in this band. The fact that you glance over my comments and re-state previous arguments that have nothing to do with what I'm saying now tells me it's more like arguing with a wall than a person with you. If it's opinion, stop arguing with me, I believe you. Good god.

  • dude. it was never an argument. your the one who just found my comment in the first place, and started saying all this shit about it being an arguement, i never argued with you, i just kept reminding you that it is just my opinion.....OVER AND OVER, and your the one who found my comment and replied in the first place, so who started this? T.T

  • Death metal and deathcore all the sound the same most of the time.. lol.

I really enjoy Sleep Terror's music, there's just something about them that's addicting.

  • @JahazielakaCurly I pray that he will stay just Instrumental, and you should too. This (IN MY OPINION) is no where near deathcore. You could say a merging of Decrepit Birth, Dream Theater, and Cryptopsy. Its amazing!

  • @undeadxhavock why would you reply to a comment that is ages old? i said that back then when i barely knew anything about deathcore and progressive technical deathmetal . . .

  • With a song title like this I wish I had the lyrics

  • youre idiots ive seen these niggas live the drums are real and the new drummer is faster than this one. bitches

  • Yeah, now they have a drummer, but this album was recorded with programmed drums. And from what i know they're rerecording stuff from Probing Tranquility with a normal drummer (and Vocals!). And i bet it'll be thousand times better, so i can't wait for it :)

  • The vocals will spoil the music tbh.

  • Not necessarily, duh. Check out the vocal cover of "Primordial Void" by Big Chocolate. Imho they fit.

  • He did a probing tranquility one but I can't find a primordial void vocal cover by him.

  • Then it's Tranquility, sorry. But gosh, they do sound alike D:

  • Its not a band.... Its Programed music, 1 man has done this if u read the info....

Probably in kontakt via cubase or similar....

  • I would rather call a project. Yeah, drums and bass are probably programed, but guitars are played by a man. Anyways, From what i know, Luke is going to rerelease "Probing Tranquility", with new songs, old ones rerecorded, and with vocals! (gasp!)

    Check out Sleep Terrors Myspace

  • jizz

  • this band makes me want to shit all over the place. how are they not more popular?!?!?!

  • 0:47 that solo plus the drums sound

    fuckin insane
