So, the brazilian population with the accent more similar to someone that actually speaks spanish is in the south of Brazil, where the big population live closer to border with hispanic countries. @mishka28061 I would say the differences between the portugal's portuguese and brazilian's portuguese are way bigger than US and British's English. When portugueses are talking between them, I ( brazilian) take some time to realize they are talking portuguese! The Brazilian portuguese is more similar to the original one because the european portuguese now got a lot of influence from the spanish from spain. Sorry if I talked more than I should about the topic :P

Portuguese frm Brasil has influences from Africa and USA therefore the difference in pronunciation. Im Portguese and always understood "Brazilian".
