Love Stephanie's style and contemporary flare! Flavor galore! If you look at salsa 25 yrs ago vs today you see some differences. If you look at WC 25 yrs ago vs. today there are differences. Hustle can evolve without being diluted. Just more fun and flavorful. Quintessentail hustle will never die out if the dance lives on, but it must evolve to live on- Hustle is no exception to dance darwinism.
Lovely dancing from these two, but this trend NY styled Hustle is taking is concerning. To me hustle isnt just a lesser flavor of WC Swing, and neither would it benefit from evolving into that. We now have a dance thats too slow to rejoin the clubs and consequently so pretty no one under 50 will do it (expect the pros selling it). No young means no future, but many folks figure hustle can just die when THEY are to old to do it anymore. That makes it a dance of the past, not the future.

don't pay this guy dflynn no mind. everybody in the hustle world either laughs at him or ignores him. He can't dance and got no rhythm, just watch him he's a joke!
BTW NY style Hustle can not be done at all speeds and still be NY "true" hustle. A Hustle dancers can dance at any speed - but after about 120 BPM - it all breaks down into a run. So yes - a hustle dancer can RUN at 135 BPM.
This is mostly WC Swing IMO. Both dancers are expert WC dancers at East Coast Comps - and a quick google of their names gets numerous hits. Also - they are dancing to "Right Round" by Flo Rita at 125 BPM. That is far faster than the fastest NY styled hustle class taught anywhere in America - which tops out at about 115 BPM. maybe you could push it higher, but you lose the integrity of the dance and end up doing special choreography.

There's no WCS here...at all, don't be a hater dflynn5656, it's pure Hustle.

I wasn't the first to say that looks like WC. See the quote below:
Fantastic! It's almost like a cross between Hustle and WCS.

You say IS and she said ALMOST (like WCS). Come on,man... Take like a grown up... Why you using her to point the finger?
