used to be a restaurant located on the main street in downtown Keene called Henry Davids, probably the best bread at any restaurant that I've ever had.
The ONLY 2 problems I can see, and I've driven it but live out of state, is that SOME people are too dumb to take the time and figure it out and others make a mistake and try to correct it rather than go around again. Both make this a potential hazard.
If you know what you're doing you can PLAN to be in the correct lane BEFORE you enter the roundabout. The far RIGHT lane takes an immediate.. you guessed it .. A RIGHT!! Goood. Now the next lane, the MIDDLE , the CENTER what ever you want, will take the following exit. The LEFT lane stays left past the first two exits and then moves into the center lane to exit on the third exit. Or, you can go round and round until you get dizzy, or cause and accident.
I was born and raised there till I left for college... I never would have expected them to put a maze at that intersection. I don't ever remember the traffic being so bad there, but then again that's probably because I live in a much more populated city now.
Why not? Anyone on the right is supposed to be exiting within two exits anyway. If they're still there after two exits, they broke the rules and will be found at fault in a wreck. Even I could see the lane use arrows as you came up to that rotary.
I moved outta Swanzey/Keene before they built the round-a-bout. I recently came back to visit family there. I'm telling you, it has to be the worse transportation "solution" that area has ever seen. They should have left it alone, and just built an overpass.
are you surprised? They're so backasswards in that town I'm sure they thought a round about was the only way because thats how its always been done so thats how we'll always have to do it.... That "city" is so outdated and out of touch with the real world that its never surprising what their crappy solution to any problem is !

If you have guts you can get through this one faster than a traffic light easily but if you aren't gutsy then you are screwed.
