great video.. I guess the Edirol UM880 is discontinued now.. you know any place i could find one? IF not, what would you use.. The new MOTU MIDI express XT or the older Emagic AMT or Unitor 8x8 midi interface? I want to control about 8 different hardware synths and about 4 hardware drum machines with Ableton. please let me know. Thanks

how are your racks and synths connected to Ableton? I have a Kurzweil 2000 connect thru a m-audio fast track and it will not let do an output to the synth.
Nothing new to me but kudos for laying it out for people. Hardware synths and samplers have gotten so ridiculous cheap, I think a lot of the folk who cut their teeth on software are going to be picking up modules to poke.
