lol i actually went on Splash Mountain  last July with no water on the big drop. The rest of the ride had water. it was really weird because they WERENT testing it because we could go on it. :P

If it wasnt on a track going down, then a ton of people including me would be already dead because it would just fly off, the track holds the log Also its kinda obvious that its on a track going down, the water is really flat.

Sort of. It's only on a track for the lifts and drops. It floats freely the rest of the ride.

Splash Mountain isn't closed. The only closures at WDW at the moment are

Space Mountain -- replacement of the track, layout will be unchanged, but rebuild of ride.

TTA -- Closure is related to refurbishment of Space Mountain.

Power and Light Co: This will be closed until November 21st when Space Mountain reopens.

@thomasadrianna in world! but it was a rumor that I heard, so I could be wrong now that they re-opended the ride. I think all that mostly changed was the que line stuff and the ride is a little quiter now.

yea I went during the Christmas celebration..my whole family works for Disney lol and the que line is SOOO nice, it's like an interactive game while u wait and the line already moved fast even at 45min wait but now it makes u not want the line to move lol it's so cool

this is just a annual refurbish of it. It usually closed Janurary-Feburary every year
