Skate 2 and 3 are way different. Skate 2 seems more of a heavy game and dark due to it's career being very robust I mean come on you gotta take grinding blocks and stuff and call big black to skate. Now skate 3 is more friendly and the running and walking system feels wayyyy lighter and better than skate 2. Skate 3 is lighter and friendlier.

@MutR skate 3's port carv just feels "copy and pasted" san van is the best. you could do so much and i still play skate 1 to this day despite owning all 3 as its my fave of the 3. i play skate 2 every so often too. i've maxed achievements on all 3 and am ranked 18 in the world on number 1 so i know what im talking about when i say skate 3 sucks. the only feature i thought was amazing was create a park ;)

The walking, I feel, has been drastically improved, it's not so jerky and un-responsive but more fluid and responsive.

But yes, EA Nation (their servers) are shockingly crap. Remeber playing it at EA for their pre-alpha preview and the server kept on dropping, baring in mind they where only a few feet away. They did say it "sucked".
