Man thats not bad timing on the song and you look comfortable with that guitar . but maybe try some cleartone strings they give you a faster response to the tonealty of the strings and they also keep that nasty fret buzz out . but all in all its good keep working on it practice makes perfect.

i used to have an Aria Pro II bass just like that. but the paint was slightly different. it started as yellow on the corner under your right arm, faded to pink in the middle, then faded to purple on the lower arm, but still had the black splatter all over it. paid 200 bucks for it, well used. lol. not a bad bass though. now i play a kramer

aria pro II bass. i used to have the same one, with a little bit of a different paint job. mine faded from yellow on the upper right corner, to pink in the middle, to purple on the lower arm. still had the black splatter on it though. not a bad bass. i bought one used for 200 bucks.

Transcribing the 7-note run during the pre-chorus (occurs first time in your video at 1:11) has been a problem for me.

Is it:

A) 0245420 (most of the tab on the 'net has it this way)

B) 2345432 (the 3/G is out of key)

C) 2345420 (this appears to be what you're playing in your video)

D) 2445420 (this is what my ears and my limited knowledge of musical theory tells me it must be)

The chorus part I had played 0-2-4-5-4-2-0 for many years and I know a lot of people play it this way because it's logically in the key of F# minor... but I isolated the bass track once and it is actually 2-3-4-5-4-2. My ear actually hears it this way now. Doesn't really make sense to me, but it still sounds sweet!

After much analysis (isolation with WaveLab EQing and looping specific notes), I've come to the conclusion that the run stands and ends on E, at least some of the time, so it must be 0245420 (as most of the tab on the net would have it). Playing along with a keyboard (I'm only a beginner bass player), only the 0245420 run sounds right as well, but I agree that your version still sounds sweet. So Bob, what *did* you play? :-)
