Jean: What, you're kidding, right? You look great... so fit... and thin.

Patrick Bateman: Well, you can always be thinner... look better.

Jean: Then maybe we shouldn't go out to dinner. I wouldn't want you to lose your willpower.

Patrick Bateman: That's okay. I'm not very good at controlling it anyway.

  • whoaaaaaaaa okay, 0:20 that was basically in my dream last night in which behind the shot there was a river with large bridge/tunnels going across to where the people are. I was on my bike trying to catch up to some people. I swear I'm not deja vuing or source amnesing, I'm tearing up because I was actually there living that.

  • I loved the movie and the gun fighting style is very interesting

  • ONE OF THE MOST EPIC MOVIES EVER!

  • first off you made this movie look 100x better than it was but idk is worse not feeling or being forced to feel.

  • try to pause around 2:33 or 2:34 and look next to his eye, you will see a yellow zit lol

  • @duskedennis

Did u actually watch the movie? Christian Bale had that thing(dunno if its a zit) next to his eye all the time. Btw, that dumb fallout quote is out dated

  • @TurkishHegemony yeah ive seen the movie i just didn't notice it when i saw it.

  • hand vagina fail 1:55 lol

  • thumbs up if the beginning of this song souns a lil bit like resident evil theme song

  • That movie did have errors, but I still thought it was fantastic! One of the best! Thanks for posting this! Loved the music!

  • the thought of escape comes from one place inside your mind which allows you to dream far from reality and the reason for doing so is to be at equilibrium with matter, emotion, and life.to avoid criticism SAY NOTHING...DO NOTHING....BE NOTHING and so on so gone in a world without fear is fiction life without pain is fantasy.LOGIC IS NOT DEAD its hidden beneath reason there is a reason for every action we make..

  • I just realized is this probably inspired by Farenheit 451.

  • i like the montage! very good music choice, well done :)

  • Good movie, good music, gold prozium.. world could be nice and easy

  • @ SkyAboveWater

Did u made this music? btw really enjoyed the upload!! Thanks

  • This is a bit late. But this is quite a good video. The scenes are arranged and laid out to fit the music almost perfectly. I quite like it.

  • I assure you, I am not watching a video, I am merely optimizing this comment for maximum typing practice efficiency.

  • Sean Bean Rules

  • whats the name of the film again??

  • The film kinda sucked. I liked the idea, but it would be impossible for a person to function without their emotions. Everything we do is influenced by emotion.

  • @BangingMash that's the shock value that isn't intended to be so. its kind of a paradox. thats a part of what makes the whole movie great. i think you should read the top rated comment and then think.

  • @AarenCreed *ahem* again, let me say it....

It would be IMPOSSIBLE for A PERSON to function WITHOUT EMOTIONS.

    kthnxbai.

  • @BangingMash *ahem* again, let me say it...

that's the SHOCK VALUE....it's a kind of PARADOX. If you would prefer smaller words than here it is. You notice that without emotions, the people in the movie have an UNHUMAN like feel. Hence the IMPOSSIBLE being completely intended.

    kthnxbai.

  • @AarenCreed No. It's not the shock value. it's the downfall of the movie. I'm not saying it was bad, I quite enjoyed some scenes, and the quotes Sean Bean's character said. And no, I didn't get the feel of the unhuman feeling, cos little things like a soldier saying "Cleric!" is still emotionally influenced. Nice try, but it didn't really work. Especially when Brandt gets dragged off saying that Preston is the betrayer. Doesn't work, sorry.

  • @BangingMash Due to the very nature of what they are trying to accomplish there are bound to be imperfections. I'm not saying the movie was fantastic, because it wasn't, but you are letting the sleights of the movie over-rule what the whole movie was about. That's sad.

  • @AarenCreed It's not sad, its being critical, I'm sorry if I don't see the greatness that you see. That's my opinion, and I'm sure it's shared by others, just how others share your opinion. Lets leave it at that....

  • uhm what movie is this? it looks cool like I kinda want to see it but what is it called?

  • Equilibrium, just like the title without the part:"epic orchestra"

  • @mary1pink cool thanks

  • I saw this movie and Ioved it so much. The message is complex but the facts and the subject are so simple.the message is deep:"so close but yet so far from the people that we love and from the things that bring us happyness and peace in life-a way which do not solve anything ,because in the end all that matters is to feel,an ability that we received from our birth and which we can't cork up , to have a reason for living

  • ITS... DAH BATMAN!!!!!

  • I somehow got this movie from Netflix on the exact date that we started a Chemistry unit on equilibrium

  • you should see watch?v=myf_d1D8kxU

  • It took me years to realise just how deep this movie is. Studying philosophy and religion alike, I saw one thing: Sheer logic doesn't lead anyway, it's a tool. If you use it the right way, it's a great one, but if you believe it to be the way to follow - you are going nowhere. Only feelings can give purpose to anything. If they are destroyed, nothing remains. Literally nothing, no meaning, no reason for anything at all. A world of logic is DEAD.

  • @GortosXtreme Wow, I think that was one of the most interesting and soultouching things I've every read. It realy says exactly what I feel right now and describes the whole situation.

  • @GortosXtreme There has to be a balance. We can certainly do without religion, for the sake of the survival of the species, though.

  • @notessimodude We can do without religion. We can do without feelings as well as long as our "programming" keeps us alive, like computers. We can, for sure. But the first question is - is it logical? For that, we would have to know way more than we know today. And the second question: Do we want it?

  • @GortosXtreme ...you can have feelings without religion. T_T

  • @notessimodude That wasn't my point. My point was "why get rid of it without any real reason"?

  • @GortosXtreme Because religion is responsible for over 70% of wars in the history of mankind, and is responsible for MOST of the ignorance and arrogance surrounding our society.

  • @notessimodude You are mistaken. Religion has never started a war nor has it encouraged ignorance - religion is just the belief in some higher being or layer of existance and the resulting respect and often worshipping. What you're talking about is (often religious) ideology used by few to manipulate many. Abusing religion as a tool. There is one thing that's important: We can't prove nor disprove god, we just don't understand the universe enoug. But for believers, religion is a good thing.

  • @GortosXtreme Alright, the people who follow religion started the wars, hence the reason it's a bad influence. Religion IS a tool for men who want power, and in more than one way, it's a primitive form of government. God is an unfalsifiable statement. Here's an example of another one: I have a T-Rex living in my back yard that cannot be seen, heard, or touched. Prove it isn't there. You can't? That's the ignorance that fuels theistic arrogance. Many facts we have point against God, not with him.

  • @notessimodude There is no evidence for your Tyrannosaur within the system we are researching - whereas existance itself is a reason to believe in a higher being. I'm an agnostic, being convinced its existance can't be proven nor disproven, but the theists have a valuable point here. There is order and there is existance itself, there is life (which exists against the law of entropy). Arrogance is believing we have enough knowledge about the universe to make statements about its nature.

  • @GortosXtreme Existance is NOT, I repeat, NOT a reason to believe that some magic man in the clouds made it all. If that's the case, then my T-Rex has more evidence of existing than God! Theists have no valuable point at all. Saying existance itself proves their beliefs is as stupid as saying the fact my shoe is size 12 prove my T-Rex. I hope by your last sentence you realize you've just agreed with my on that part.

  • @notessimodude Nonono, there is no magic man in the clouds nore a wizard nor a person at all (and I'm an agnostic, remember). But there is existance instead of non-existance, order instead of chaos and life, which defies the most fundamental law of nature ever discovered: Entropy (all order is converting to chaos). If we want to make assumptions about its nature, no scientific reasoning is sufficient. We can just not assume anything, or assume a higher being. More isn't possible to man (atm).

  • @GortosXtreme You're missing one very important part. Entropy is only beginning now and won't even start to create physical effects for another 10 to 20 billion years, if you're talking about on a Universal scale. Order emerges from chaos, that IS an observable fact.

  • @notessimodude

Listen, through this nonsensical chatter, I emerged with one final and inevitable verdict. A final one, which is unable to be altered or changed through time or space or any other dimension of existence.

"We can't prove nor disprove god, we just don't understand the universe enough" -GortosXtreme

There are 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 particles in the universe that we can observe however we only know 1/500,000,000 , we as humans are ignorant.

  • @notessimodude All you say is right, yet, there is one missing layer: Things exist. there are unbreakable rules to their workings. And nobody has, ever, been able to explain that. I won't even start with quantum theory which makes the universe undetermined... Just note: You can say: "It's unexplainable", or you can say "There is something higher". A being, and we may or may not call it god. A manifestation of will, perhaps, something responsible. As an agnostic, I think that's reasonable as well

  • @GortosXtreme The theory of God is worth looking into, but all the evidence we've accumulated in the past centuries has almost completely disproven the Christian God.

  • @notessimodude The Bible is a great book, but its stupid parts (apocalypse, for instance) and centuries of relentless interpretation (invventing things like the trinity or virgin mary) have ruined much of its essence. People at that time weren't too good at understanding abstract ideas, you had to give them stories and examples, that's why the Bible is hard to understand. The Christian god isn't too different to our hypothetical god here, if not for the vatican :D

  • @notessimodude A very simple and misguided statement. All evidence in science conclude that everything in the universe is interconnected. DNA even reveals that ALL life forms are varying expressions of one vast life force. Because all things in the Universe are composed of energy, and therefore connected, each thought you have has a direct effect on your physical reality. Food for thought.

  • @xxevilgeniusxx If you want me to be specific; I believe it says God made people in his/her/its image. Each individual is a god by default. If reality disappoints, you can deconstruct it and make it how ever you see fit. Quantum Mechanics provides as good of proof as Gods existence as we should need, for now. Its just so complicated and easy to obfuscate that few theists or atheists or any for that matter know the truth about quantum mechanics.

  • @xxevilgeniusxx The observer does not give reality to the entity, but rather the observer decides what aspect of the reality they wish to discern. Causality in this is hidden from human investigation; as observation and measurement create change them selves and force new choices and realities in the end.

  • @xxevilgeniusxx I'm still starving if that was food for thought, lol. Just because the laws of physics state everything operates under one form of energy or sequence doesn't mean everything is interconnected, spiritually or physically. The thoughts affect the space around you so little because your brain waves aren't powerful at all. Physical change is made when you act upon a thought. Saying all lifeforms operate under one vast force is, sorry, a bit of an arrogant statement. We don't know yet.

  • @GortosXtreme I completely agree. The problem is that people use their feelings over logic far to often. Logic can be applied to nearly (as my disclaimer :P) any situation and find the right outcome. When people follow only their feelings, the outcome is dependent on luck. A proper balance must be attained. Feelings are used as a starting point. You start with how you feel, and then use logic to justify those feelings. Any feeling that can't be justified with logic should be discarded.

  • @GortosXtreme And to slightly modify what I said, logic absolutely must be derived from a set of concrete morals. Morals must be absolute and timeless. A moral that applies now will apply 50 years from now. Relative morals are like trying to set two inaccurate clocks off of each other - it doesn't work.

  • @GortosXtreme Well said, too bad your argument was logically and reasonably put together.

  • @jimmyt3411 Logic and reasoning are great and I do love using them. They are just nothing that makes life worth living, they are tools you can use whenever neccessary.

  • @GortosXtreme A world of logic is reality.

  • @PokeYourMum Reality is indeductable.

  • @PokeYourMum

Take some drugs and then tell me what is reality.

  • @Tartaros666GR Lol @ drugs, I don't need to know what pitfall you fell in,

  • @GortosXtreme -- You are right, but a world without logic is madness. It is somewhat akin to the Japanese saying that "Vision without action is a daydream, and action without vision is a nightmare."

  • @OneWingedShark a vision without action is a dream that has yet to accomplished and a action without a vision is blindness. A world without logic is lost.you have a brilliant mind simply because of your response that tells a lot that you are awake while the rest is fast asleep i am a mere person that simply wishes for a better economy a stronger nation peaceful world will not be earth and the reason for that remark is we are humans and our minds have no boundaries no limits only law limits

  • @OneWingedShark As I said, great tool. But not a reason to act.

  • @GortosXtreme dude ur words tached me...ur great man (sorry for my english)

  • @GortosXtreme I center myself around Philosophy, and I'm going to put it out there, in my words

"If I cared too, I could compare everyones personal view, and perspective to every act of war, murder, rape and viloence ...You can give me all the reasons in the world, but it still won't make it right." ~Benjamin Thomas

  • @GortosXtreme dont mind this guy folks hes just fulla shit

  • @desambio I think he's right. I would only add that we have to learn how to use both. Our best bet is to balance them as well as we can and hope we can live with any mistakes we make along the way.

  • @GortosXtreme do you even realize what you just said. god i wish i could just tell you and those other 34 people how stupid you are

  • @jimbeen1771 I'm always glad to read an educated and reasonable point concerning my opinions... Especially if the author makes clear why he considers my statement wrong :)

  • @GortosXtreme "A world of logic is dead" thats when i realize i shouldnt even try

  • @jimbeen1771 Something gives me the impression you are just here for conflict, so I guess it is unneccessary to further explain my satement. Please note: I did not say logic isn't useful.

  • @GortosXtreme That sounds very inspiring a topic for a fiction novel based on life where civilization is drained of feeling and is left with just robotic, mechanical, systematic logic. And combined with this music.....thanks for the idea hahaha

  • @GortosXtreme Absolutely. We can journey down a lot of undesirable paths by trying to rationalize every single and event in the world.

  • @GortosXtreme This argument is logical. Thus Logic leads us to the conclusion that emotions are to be valued and not to be suppressed.

  • @charlieapeshit Therefore, it's a great tool!

  • der film wahr erste sahne und dieser clip is es ebenso

  • the music doesn't match up with the video and its stupid with those bells

  • @CedricKristian ...listen to the violen, the cello, the Echo, the Vibe, the will...the loss

  • I haven't seen this movie, but it kinda reminds me of a modern version of Orwell's 1984

  • What movie is this music video from?

  • its the daily life of many people its sad isn't it, we all hope that we could turn the world into a better place but you cant, we cant because some people only wants to live in a fantasy world and control other people with power, and as long there are humans there will be war, and as long there is war this will be the life many people will live. because war.. war never changes.

  • @duskedennis fallout 3's a great game man.

  • @mythicrose89 indeed it is. e great example of how the world may end up like if we keep fighting each other

  • @duskedennis you do realise your talking out your ass you self important tool.

  • @duskedennis Fallouts a great game isn't it

  • Comment removed

  • @Highbudget the only thing i used from fallout was "because war... war never changes" and this is not where i got a line from some game its about the meaning of my comment, but people like only like to ruin the moment of hope. you like to ruin it because you didn't come up with a good comment like mine.

  • @duskedennis Yeah sorry about that

  • @duskedennis lol nice fallout quote

  • Where it is possible to download the given track

  • OMG iz batman :O

  • @SkyAboveWater

this movie whole storline is based off of action.

the movie is about people trying to get rid of Emotion but that could never happen so Bale desided to stop this and from then all he killed all those who stand against emotion.

  • opening is like ff7 the turks theme!

  • @Talldumbdork95 cant be compared

  • @Talldumbdork95 but keenu reeves just looks too cool, lols both are awesome in my opinion

  • The movie ended where it started. War waged before, it waged after. The supression of emotion was just a time of true peace, at the cost of your soul, Don't gain the world & loose your soul~

  • @Classicjarheads Nicly said :)

  • Comment removed

  • Where did you get the video for this??? I'm writing a book and one of my characters looks exactly like him. I would love to use this in my video.

  • @Talldumbdork95

    that's right !!!!

  • @Talldumbdork95 Yeah, but Keanu... knows kung-fu.

  • @Conmon1 That made me laugh. LOL

  • @Talldumbdork95 That's funny both don't ever really appear to be acting at all. They just say their lines. The reason Bale was so perfect for this role is because of his ability to not act what so ever. It's a great movie thanks to Bale having no emotion which is key in this film.

  • @vertexclimber Watch "The Fighter".

  • damn... christian bale needs a bottle of clear eyes...
