With 460 1GB SLI, you should use Ultra without AA.It gets too framebuffer limited with AA.

It would run quite nicely at 1366X768 but it would drop below 30fps for 1080P. Try some lower settigns.

@toutagamon Yeah, I've got the Dell XPS 17 instead of m17x and the multiplayer gameplay is manageable at medium settings. Crysis2, Skyrim, even Starcraft run on max with no problem.

They are the same thing performance wise. The 6850 is a bit more power efficient.

You can, but you need a good cpu for BF3 and a very good cpu for AC.

Overall it will be OK for BF3 with around 45fps, but you will be looking at 30fps for AC.

Oh I see.

FPS means Frames Per Second. The more the merrier. Actually you need 30fps for decent gameplay and 60fps for absolutely smooth gameplay.

Open the console and type 'render.drawfps 1'. That shows your FPS ingame.

Yeah I know. That's an old C1 X3. Very bad overlockers. It only works for benchmarks though, so it will be fine.

i can run campaign maxed fine on a 6870 at about 50-70 FPS, but as soon as I put on any AA i drop 20-30 FPS.

Seems really weird lol.

I run multiplayer @ medium or else terrible fps, 40-60 fps in multi.

This is the driver that Nvidia recommends mate. I had the previous beta and the game itself poped up a message to upgrade it lol.

In any case, I didn't see any stutter. Only low framerate with these high settings. On my other GTX 460, with lower settings, it run fine.
